Is Green Your College Color?

The University of Cambridge just announced that their new theater — or “theatre” as they spell it across the pond — will incorporate solar panels and “ground-source technology” while minimizing heat loss and reducing noise pollution.
Closer to home, the University of Miami is using biodiesel fuel in more than half of its shuttle buses this fall. The move is part of a plan to become climate neutral in the next 10 years. On the CappCast you can hear Scott Friedhoff of Allegheny College discuss the many green initiatives at Allegheny. Ten percent of the energy used on campus comes from wind power, and English majors can take environmental writing classes.
