Car loans and high full coverage auto insurance are unnecessary parts of education through grants. Not everyone does this, but many do. Maybe driving an old beater, or taking the bus during one's education may possibly bring about a sense of humility and appreciation for the free resources one does have: there are many scholarships, but I don't think there are any for selfishness or slothfulness. We fill out the forms for grants and loans, but we don't want to fill out the paperwork for scholarships. That's too much work. So is a 180 page dissertation for a Master's degree, but we'll do it. Do what you must to get an education and step away from the "gimme, gimme" attitude. It just proves that you're not a problem solver. That's what education is about. It's never been this easy.

i don't receive the Pell Grant, but for those who do, it's not a great way of getting money. technically it is coming from the other people suffering to pay off their loans. the government is capping off on the wrong programs here.
Apparently our government hasn't taken out an education loan since the time of dinosaurs. I honestly don't believe they understand what millions of higher educated students face today because of their implementations and 2-faced plans

It stinks that students trying to improve their lot in life have to pay for the governments inefficiency. Even though I'm and under-grad, I may want to go grad in the future. Not sure how I could afford to do that, this way.
