Categories Comments Great for these types of students Hard working students, and not slackers. There is a lot a work and studying!
Tips for prospective students There is a lot a work and studying that you have to do, and coming from high school, it can be a bit overwhelming. But if you stay on top of things and don;t wait till the last minute, you'll be fine.
Am enjoying being here I love the campus, and everyone is really friendly, and there is a lot you can do around the campus.
Am learning a lot The teachers are great, and go out of their way to help you and make sure you understand everything. They do their best to make sure you are ready for each test.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students This school is for someone who wants a small campus. There aren't many sports, so it's for someone who may want to just play intramural type sports. It's for someone who wants a great career that they have to work for.
Tips for prospective students Study a lot! It's hard work and you have to work hard to do well. The professors can help you, but it is up to you to work at doing well.
Bang for the buck There are definitely great facilities and faculty/staff for the price.
Am enjoying being here It is a great campus, it's small which I personally like. You get to know everyone and you see the same people all the time. Also, Albany is a great little city. Not too big to be overwhelming, but not so small, there's nothing to do.
Am learning a lot The teachers are great, but you have to get used to them. They make sure you understand the material and are helpful. You will need to learn but will learn.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students This college is great for people who like to work hard and don't care for partying. You need to be very well disciplined when it comes to studying.
Tips for prospective students If you are coming to this college I advise you to start studying during the summer. Make a schedule and plan study time. Know how to study, this school is very hard.
Bang for the buck Its an expensive college but what college isn't? The campus looks nice most of the time and everything is clean but there are some things that need some work. For example, when it rains, there is a leak in the ceiling in the calculus room and it drips into a large plastic funnel and for some people it can be a distraction. Other than that the food needs some help but at least you won't gain the freshman fifteen.
Am enjoying being here I enjoy my time here and there are many things to do on Fridays and Saturdays. Every weekend they show a movie at the student center and the other days there are many things to do. They have many clubs and encourage students to make their own and get involved.
Am learning a lot I am learning a lot here. Some of the classes are very difficult but they are passable. The teachers are willing to help you but you need to make sure you find them and ask for help.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Great for people that keep on top of their work. If you're a slacker, you will fall behind fast and hard. You really only want to join the pharmacy program if you're a hard worker and willing to sacrifice time to study. You will definitely need to study much harder than you had in high school, so be prepared.
Tips for prospective students Get to know your professors and the tutors in the writing center right off the bat. It will make your life much easier in the long run. They are there to help you, so never be scared to ask for help. Also, learn your way around the library building. The librarians are kind, very helpful and very willing to help out. They are saints when you're still learning your way around the library database. The writing center and the science assistance center are on the second floor, where there is a plethora of people able to help you manage your coursework. Though you'll want to find our their schedules because they're not there 24/7.
Bang for the buck The price is steep, but you get a lot in return. There are many activities on campus, so many you don't necessarily need to leave the campus to find something fun to do. For example, there's the library, the work out gym, and the gymnasium. There are clubs like Zumba club, dance team, karate club, colleges against cancer, multicultural club and Another Creative Prospective. The student center is an amazing place as well. The dining hall offers an amazing variety of foods, including a Tim Horton's and Coldstone Creamery. And there's something happening in the atrium almost everyday.
Am enjoying being here There is a lot of work. A lot of time the courseload can feel extremely overwhelming, but keep at it and it can be rewarding. There are so many places you can find help. There are also many activities and events planned for the students each year. Some of the events include Relay For Life, movies every Friday, Bingo nights, comedians, Human vs. Zombie and much more.
Am learning a lot There's a lot of work to be done, as well as a lot of studying and memorizing. It's great, if you can keep on top of the workload. The professors are brilliant as well. They're nice, smart, approachable, and really knows what they're doing.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus security is very good; I often see them strolling around campus. We also have emergency buttons located around campus that you can press if something is wrong and security immediately comes to you.
Greek Life There are a couple fraternities and sororities around campus who host certain special events and such.
Clubs and Activities We have a plethora of clubs and activities for every interest. Many are centered around pharmacy and medicine, but we also have a music group and an equestrian club among other groups.
Great for these types of students -Goal oriented -Hard-working -Non-procrastinators -Dedicated
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Our campus has a room in the basement of our student center that is known to very few people, including students, that is called the Panther's Den. The only way to get there is by elevator and it is filled with old arcade games, like Pacman, Frogger and an air hockey table.
Bang for the buck This school is pretty expensive, even with scholarships and such, but it is a renowned school with many connections. However, I've heard that there are other pharmacy schools that have a similar reputation but cost less.
What to do for fun There's not a whole lot of time for fun, but when you cant stand the work load anymore and need a break there are lots of options. The school hosts tons of activities, such as movies and spa days, and being in the heart of Albany, everything is fairly close, including the malls.
Food and Dining There is a large variety of food here, but it is not always up to par and can get expensive if you don't have a meal plan. The meal plans are nice because they come with Flex dollars which can be used at certain places off campus.
Dorm Life The dorms here are not terrible, but the best part about staying on campus is that most of the people around are you are in the same classes as you so help is just a door away.
Academic Rigor This school is tough! Getting an A is a miracle; C- is average. There are tests just about every week in addition to weekly labs and long term projects.
Tips for prospective students If at all possible, stay on campus. Learn to love your computer because you can't live without it here. Make lots of friends, a study group is your best tool; not to mention you won't get much time to see your old friends.
In three sentences This school is definitely a major challenge and you can't expect to be able to have any social life while you're here, but it can be rewarding thinking about why you're doing this. Being able to stay organized and manage your time is a required skill to succeed here. Staying on campus is a huge advantage but is fairly costly.

Categories Comments What to do for fun there are sports to do, clubs to join and other activities that i do for fun.
Food and Dining the food is pretty good. they serve decent portions and have some variety.
Dorm Life there is a lot to do on the weekends and people are always playing games in the dorms. everyone is really welcoming.
Academic Rigor the school is tough. but, it is manageable. if you really want to make it through, you can do it.
Tips for prospective students make sure you have good time management skills and make the time spent studying efficient. it's all about balance. you need to balance having fun with getting good grades.
In three sentences i think acphs has fantastic faculty, a lot of activities to particpate in and a great environment to study. i would recommend the school to anyone who is pursuing pharmacy or other health sciences careers.

Categories Comments Dorm Life Double to Quad freshman dorms. Each dorm has it's own bathroom.
Tips for prospective students This school is obviously focused on pharmacy and is very expensive to intend. Do not come here unless you are absolutely sure you want to become a pharmacist and make the commitment to work.
