If you are not considering the Honors Program - do. Instead of adding tough, demanding courses to your academic load, the Alfred Honors Program offers 2-credit night courses that take place once a week and offer learning for the sake of fun. Courses from this past semester (Fall 2013) included The Doctor in the Police Box, a course on the science and ideas of the hit show Doctor Who; Wiseguys, Whackos and Whiners, which studied the radicals of every field and the grain of truth in their statements; and The Aliens Did It?, which explores the theoretical role of aliens in human history.

Despite being in a small town that is out of the way Alfred has a lot of fun activities available every week to keep students busy. Very understanding school when it comes to the stresses of final and every day life.
