Since I only experienced my freshmen year here I did not not experience their upper level classes so I can't say much there. But due to their unique system based on communication and group work I did learn a lot about giving speeches and presenting proper papers.

1.I love how Alverno is laid back with small class sizes and no formal tests. 2.The eight abilities may seem obnoxious at first but they actually are beneficial life skills that will set you apart in the professional world. 3. I am really disappointed with the financial aid department, they aren't much help if you are a traditional white student.

Alverno is a wonderful college for traditional and non-traditional students. You learn to work in a diverse environment. It gives you real- life projects that you will naturally apply to your work environment and socially.

The atmosphere is unlike any other college I have ever attended. Everyone is warm, welcoming and always has a smile on their face. The Academic advisers are the most helpful people I have ever come upon at a college level.

I am currently a Freshman at Alverno College and it has been such a great experience thus far. The grading scale is completely different from any other college i've looked at or heard about. The school focuses on the student's abilities instead of just a letter grade.

Alverno College is like NO other school in the country. It is amazing the way they teach and instill life skills, morals, and values. They don't just make you memorize stuff, take a test and give you a score, it's more than that. It's more about value and each student is treated like their child.

Makes woman feel powerful and focuses on 8 abilities that will be necessary to not only function in society but in a professional job. Alverno does a great job at teaching the material and alleviating pressure against GPA. The campus is small and so are the class sizes.
