Work hard, you're here for school, so put that first. Don't forget the other things though, without including other aspects in your life you will have a miserable education experience.

-The school is diverse you will meet people from various backgrounds -This school is not for someone who would be miserable in rural areas -If you love God and want to learn more about him this is a great school for you -The worship experience here is unreal -Academically the school is above average and you will learn a lot and be challenged.

Go for the Honors program! Take advantage of the social life (but don't let it take over). Get to know your teachers. Bring warm clothes -- but avoid footwear that will stain easily, because the sidewalks are cleared of snow with a beet juice formula. Avoid the cafeteria during lunch on Saturdays. Join a club -- they'll feed you!

Don't seclude yourself with studying. Take some time out to participate in extracurricular activities. Go to vespers on Friday or Saturday nights. Find a church class that meets when you want it to. Join a GROW group. Find a club that interests you (there's a ton!).

I went to a high school that was focused on preparing you for college. I did very well on my ACT/SAT and transitioning to Andrews wasn't very difficult, but it is a transition. Be flexible when you first get here. I spent my entire freshman year working and studying, so I didn't have many friends. Don't do that! Don't worry so much that you miss out on the relationships. They matter too.
