GET INVOLVED in and out of the classroom. AACC offers so many great opportunities. One of the best things I did was the service learning project for my Chemistry 2 class. Look into joining clubs that interest you and getting to know your professors isn't a bad idea either! One tip I'd like to share is to show them you care because when they see you putting in effort that makes them give back that much more!

Register early! Classes can fill up quickly, especially popular electives and general education classes that everyone needs to take. Definitely make some friends in your classes not only to be social but to help you through your classes if you need to ask a quick question or find out what you missed if you didn't make it to class. Carry a map with you for the first week and don't be afraid to ask employees and teachers for help.
