    Campus Safety

Not really a need for it! You can seriously leave every possession you have right out in the open and NO ONE will take it. Everyone looks after each other even if they don't really know you.

Great for these types of students

Those who want to jump right into field research! There might not be an advisor who is an expert on exactly what you want to do, but they'll figure out a way to get you where you want to go.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

It's pretty hippie dippy - There's some tradition where the ES people clank some hanging things (like a baby mobile, but not) from the ceilings while saying something about the environment. It's a bit strange, but it joins everyone together in a different way each semester.

    Bang for the buck

While Antioch is a tad more expensive than other graduate schools, it does provide excellent financial aid and you will gain SO much knowledge from the faculty who have connections all over the world.

    Food and Dining

There is one shop in Antioch that isn't owed by the school where you can get food. It's open only until 2pm, is a bit expensive, and definitely an acquired taste.

    Academic Rigor

I don't find the academics very challenging, but this is a different type of school which focuses more so on real life applications rather than traditional schooling.

    Tips for prospective students

Try and figure out at least the general field of study you'd like to pursue. It will help you to narrow down your pathway to finding your thesis topic sooner rather than later.

    In three sentences

The faculty are great! Everyone is very enthusiastic and attentive to each student's goals and needs. Very much so close-knit.
