Tips for prospective students It's a great Bible school with an awesome family environment where everyone cares about who you are and why you are you, and on top of that their heartfelt desire is to see, and help, you grow, grow, grow!

Categories Comments What to do for fun When Im not working on homework i often enjoy long walks at the camp that is connected to the college. It is called Alpine. The camp has alot of different activities we can do as college students so often times groups of students will head down there to find something fun to do.
Food and Dining The food here is pretty good. Every meal there is a buffet type thing. They have 2 choices of main course foods and then they have desserts and salad and all kinds of really good food.
Dorm Life I dont know much about the dorm life in a public college but the life at Appalachian Bible College is more than amazing. Everyone in the dorms talk with each other and everyone is friends by the end of the first semester. There are only around 300 kids on the entire campus so it is pretty easy to get to know everyone. The dorms are pretty clean and they get cleaned everyday.
Academic Rigor Classes can be very difficult depending on the professor. Even though they are difficult, the professors are eager to try and help in any way that they can, people just have to ask. Speech is probably one of the hardest freshman classes but it gets you ready for all the other classes. The curriculum is strong and has a really high academic standard.
Tips for prospective students As a current student, i would suggest that make sure you look fully into a school before you apply. Appalachian is a very strong, biblical school with good academics. Be ready to serve and learn because you'll definitely get exactly what you want in any college.
In three sentences Appalachian Bible College is everything i dreamed a college could be. The professors are kind-hearted, want to help in every way they can, and are big on making sure life isn't always so serious. Everyone is friendly and it is just an awesome place to be!

Categories Comments Campus Safety The college is big on security and all the dorm buildings have locked doors with code pads to enter. There is an armed security guard on campus from dark until early morning. There are also alarms in all the
Greek Life There are not activities like this on ABC campus.
Clubs and Activities There are multiple music groups throughout the year. There is a large chorale group, a hand bell choir, small vocal groups, there is also a weekend puppet team that travels to different schools and churches.
What to do for fun The administration has put many restrictions on students for entertainment such as movies, music, and even certain kinds of activities. However, there are multiple types of outdoor related activities in the area and as long as the weather agrees with you.
Food and Dining Food and dining is wonderful. The food at times isn't always the best, but the kitchen staff take care of the students and always care about them. The style is a buffet style meal and students can eat literally as much as they want during meal times.
Dorm Life Dorm life is the best part of the school, as long as the Resident Assistants aren't being picky. It can be fun going from room to room just hanging out with friends and talking for a little while. There could be more activities as a dorm, but that would require some sort of unity between the men to want to have activities.
Academic Rigor In the past couple of years, the school's classes have been getting progressively worse in standards. Multiple students have mentioned that they are not getting anything out of the classes and almost wish they had picked a different school.
Tips for prospective students If students are planning on going to ABC they should plan on having a job and a life outside of campus. ABC campus gets old very quickly.
In three sentences The school is heavily focused on putting out ministry minded individuals. This school has a very set way of doing things and a very specifically set way their students are to behave and function. At times this school can be extremely difficult to deal with and get along with.
