    There is a lot of support and communities to join so that even as an online student I feel connected.
    What to do for fun

    Doing online classes allows me the flexibility to do what I need to do. I am a mother and work fulltime so it is challenging to get things completed but the online format works for me very well.

    It is very stimulating and I have learned a lot from my classes so far. I enjoy the fast pass and it was not been a problem to keep up with so far.
    Tips for prospective students

    To help prepare yourself you will need to have time on Tuesday, Wenesday or Thursdays to get the intial assignments done. Stay positive and upbeat with classes only being five weeks long they are over before you know it.

    I very much like the format of classes and that I take just one class every five weeks. By doing this I am able to focus on each class and do my best. I have had great support from the academic advisors.

    There are activities thru the school and in the town. Being a non-traditional student, I have my life that is pretty busy so don't partake of much in school life.

    Remember, a class that is 5 weeks, is triple time a normal 15 week semester. So you need to adjust your life's schedule to accommodate needing extra time to study.

    campus safety was inadvertently covered in my early tours and reading of campus life. the campus later arranged scavenger hunts and quiz tours in which we could all see just what i had learned. safety seems to be one of the schools top priorities requiring that each student have tested and proven knowledge of what to do in a crisis or otherwise dangerous situation.

    argosy university is great for the type of student that wants to learn in a setting of high organization and accountability. argosy is the type of school that keeps track of students day to day. they don't allow you to fade off into the quiet darkness only to be barely heard. if you don't mind a once in a while call from a friendly guidance counselor just checking to see that things are going alright for you - then you will love going to school at argosy university.

    as i am new to the campus; these things i will have to share later.

    argosy university is an expensive college. the price to attend was shocking; however, i still chose to attend. my decision was based solely on the entire procedure surrounding the steps i took to apply. in every step of the way; i made all the decisions backed by professional, patient, and sound advise. their entire introduction and presentation of the school was outstanding. proven to me is that they are a school that is serious about individuals learning and succeeding on the best platform possible. fortunately for me; this was the type of college i was looking for. you simply can't ask for a better structural foundation to stand on.
    What to do for fun

    my personal choices for fun was never spoke about in depth with the admissions and other staff of argosy university. they, however, made applying for college fun. this made all the difference in why i am glad i chose to attend the school.

    during my early tours of the campus; i was brought up to date on dining and the procedures therein. the courteous staff made sure that should i visit the campus; i would sure be privy to good nutrition.

    in the end i would not end up being a student who would be living on campus; as i enrolled in their online program. however, if you ask me; i would have received no lack of excellence in my search for living arrangements with all it's intricate details to boot. consistently, they would have walked me through the reins and i would have suitable living arrangements, i am sure.

    the excitement and enthusiasm i lacked when i set out to apply for admission to argosy university; was given back to me by the personnel i dealt with. they knew how nervous and apprehensive i was and they were there to address my every concern. their experience and foresight was priceless.

    when dealing with admissions personnel; don't be afraid to be honest and speak your mind. these professionals are prepared and willing to attack an issues; good or bad, that you may have. they are very genuine in their endeavors to help you through school.

    i love the fact that i can earn the same degree as other students who actually attend the campus, but i do all of my studies and classes from the comfort of my home. the faculty is always friendly and help you no matter what your question or concern is. argosy university staff is knowledgeable and i feel like i really learn as well as i would in a classroom setting.

    at the beginning of class argosy university was very clear on the dangers of college life. i got to learn about different help sources and ways to stay safe during my time in college.

    i guess i have a some what interesting life. i bring unwanted animals back to health and adopt them to better homes or keep them on the farm. we raise baby chickens, rabbits, and dogs. i want to start a business called guardian shepherds, where i can sell dogs or donate them for specific jobs, such as search and rescue or k9 service for local law enforcement.

    i'm a country girl so clubbing isn't for me. having online courses makes it easier for me to enjoy my hobby farm, and have fun with my kids at auctions.

    argosy university online is a great college for the average person that can't slow down enough to have a set schedule. online has made it easier for me to go to school and enjoy my family at the same time. this to me makes school more fulfilling as well.

    as an online student i can tell you the home room is very neat and understandable. the curriculum and books are also easy to access. during the course we have discussion every week, which keeps classmates and the professor connected.

    while attending argosy university i've noticed a lot of friendly classmate. the professors are wonderful. the best thing about online is that i get to meet people from all over the world that have different ethnic backgrounds.

    this is a great question about a school. my biggest fear is thinking i'd fail horribly and have to pay for schooling that i'd never complete. at argosy university they have academic counselors that help you through your journey at school. professors personally call and introduce themselves, and ask how i am doing in their class. i think the reason why i am having such a productive time at school is because of the staff giving their best effort to make everything less stressful as possible. at the beginning of the course they have a summary outlook that shows when all assignments are do, and what weeks are more intense then others. argosy university online has made it possible for me to be a mother, work on my hobby farm, keep house under construction, have a job, and go to college. this university understands how hectic life can be at times, and is very good at working with you to make sure you succeed.

    as a single mother of two i understand how scary it can be to start college. i have tried several times but got scared and intimidated by all the paper work and hurdles to jump through. i have been putting college off for 5 years. now that i am in college i wish i would have started earlier. college is exciting, and it gives you a sense of self achievement. my financial worker gave me the time, patience, and tools i needed to get started with my education.

    don't hold back on telling someone if you are having a problem. it's doesn't matter how big or small the problem is. someone is always willing to help you.

    argosy has some really good counselors looking out for the students best interests. what i find really great is that they call there students about every other week to talk to them and see if they are having any problems or just to say how good a job they are doing. i also really enjoyed how the classrooms are set up.

    The students seem to be excited to be attending Argosy. They are more willing to help one another without the threat of plagiarism breathing down their backs continually. Other schools I have attended looked down on students helping fellow classmates.

    Be prepared for the thrill of your life. The online atmosphere is pleasant to work with and slightly more difficult than any other online school. The faculty is there to help you solve any problems you may have.

    This school is given an A+ rating because it allows me to continue from freshman to senior and doctorate continually. The online courses are done differently than any other online school, more difficult but fun. I would recommend Argosy to everyone who plans on a career in the psychological field.

    This school allows prospective employers to come in and post jobs also if the department chairs have a job lead the send out emails to everyone in the programs. Also the library staff and the career services department have meetings to help you become a well rounded student and job ready.

    I feel like I am getting what I am paying for, a TOP NOTCH EDUCATION. I love the fact that I can download my books it is cheaper and makes my book accessible anytime any where.

    Argosy offers a number of student appreciation days per semester also they sponsor trips and Six Flags days. This is a wonderful school with friendly staff. I am so glad I transferred here.

    We are located near a mall not to mention The Art Inst. Atlanta which is an Argosy sister school and they have an amazing cafeteria. Its so wonderful.

    I don't live in a Dorm however I have been told that my school helps the students that need housing and I hear it is wonderful.

    I am learning from instructors that are still hands on in this field. They bring us real life experience that is on going. Nothing better than learning from someone that is actually practicing .

    I was remember to keep the names and number of the staff members that work with you because they will be your best friends. I have yet to call on someone and they have not gotten back to me with in 24 hours. I love that I can get help by simply picking up the phone or emailing someone.

    I am a transfer student from Brown Mackie and Argosy is wonderful transition . The whole staff is helpful beyond measure. Argosy is the best decision I could have ever made.

    Argosy - Twin Cities is a safe campus. Students can feel safe here, and parents of young students can have peace of mind when sending their children to attend this campus.

    This is not prevalent on our campus.

    Various opportunities exist for students to become involved at Argosy, such as student committees, fundraisers, become a tutor or mentor to fellow students, or a student worker (some which are paid positions). Also, there are many student appreciation activities throughout the year (free food and treats for students).

    Excellent place to call home for us 'seasoned' but always young at heart students who are returning to school.

    Argosy - Twin Cities campus is a very clean and well kept campus.
    Bang for the buck

    The education is top notch. However, Argosy - Twin Cities is a private college, so you will find the pricing to be a bit higher than some of the other colleges.
    What to do for fun

    Fun? Are you kidding? I study. But for slackers, the Twin Cities and suburbs are alive 24/7. Concerts, sporting events, plays and musicals, dining, night clubs, movies, shopping - you name it. Never a dull moment to be had.
    Food and Dining

    The Twin Cities campus is located in Eagan, MN, which houses several delicious local and chain restaurants. Some of my favorites are: Al Baker's, Ansari's Mediterranean Grill, Axel's Bonfire, Chipotle, El Loro, Granite City, Houlihan's, and Pardon My French.
    Dorm Life

    I live off campus and commute several miles to the Twin Cities campus. There are no on-site dorms, but plenty of near by apartments. The surrounding neighborhood is rather small-townish, although only a minutes from Minneapolis, St. Paul, Mall of America and MSP (international) airport.
    Academic Rigor

    The staff helps students move along at a quick pace by teaching in the above mentioned format, providing an encouraging environment and scheduling the next semester's classes in the middle of each prior semester. (In a student's mind, it doesn't seem and daunting).
    Tips for prospective students

    Get comfortable using a computer and navigating around a chat room type of environment (for blended and online classes).

    Top notch education delivered to students by working professionals who are still the field. To the point lectures, smaller classroom style (vs. lecture halls), and staff readily available to assist students when needed. Classes available during the daytime, nights and weekends, as well as blended format and online versions - something for every student.

    Make sure you have ALL information on payments owed, requirements, etc BEFORE enrolling. University prides itself on catering to the nontraditional student yet I have yet to see anything that substantiates this.

    Professors are very sound clinically and offer quality education/training. The system of the University is frustrating and haphazard. Overall solid university yet quality does NOT match the HIGH tuition charged.

With the incorporation of routine computer usage, it became clear that not only did I need to brush up on my studying and learning techniques, becoming proficient with the computer is vital. Without at least a basic knowledge of computer usage you'll have a very difficult time.

    I enjoy the fact that Argosy offers online classes for the working class people as well as tjose who do not want to be inside the classroom. So far the classes are a challenge, but the professors are always there to help you out.

    I would say to make sure you choose a school that is right for you and get all the information before you make a final decision to attend. In addition, if you are applying for grants and loans make sure that you will be covered until completion. This is something I am dealing with now and I have come so far just to be told that I may have to give up due to my aid now running out.

    Argosy University has a different approach to semesters that allow you to concentrate and retain the material of two courses while still completing 12 units in a semester. It divides a semester into two sessions of 7.5 weeks in order to ensure you have the opportunity to focus and retain the material of two courses as opposed to four courses over a period of 15 weeks. Although there is more opportunity to focus, it still requires a lot of dedication as the speed of the course is twice as fast as a regular course.

    I encourage you make sure that you know exactly what program you are interested in. This school is designed to make sure you graduate and has all the resources to do so, but it requires you to be devoted and committed to your academic goals. I recommend you already have your career goals planned or at least an idea because this school will help you attain them quickly.

    Anyone who is even passingly familiar with computers, anyone who does not want to deal with the hassles of attending classes on a campus, or the hassle of driving to and from there will love it. Also great for students who are trying to do part-time jobs while attending.

    That's the best part about the online program. It lets you get to it when it is convenient for YOU. You can literally have a full-time job and a family and still work it into your schedule (in fact many of my peers do just that). Anything that you want to do for fun (legally) remains unchanged.

    Material is fairly accelerated, and if you remain active on the discussion boards, then it ends up taking up about 30 or so hours a week (~20-25 if you don't). Online research is a big component.

    Semesters for each class last 5 weeks long. Because of this, they only have you take one class at a time, but the information/learning done about that one subject is quite thorough and accelerated. It lets you focus completely on learning one subject, and you don't have to worry about doing work in one class, while letting grades slip in another (big plus).

You could be asking your academic advisor for help that only your financial advisor knows but someway - somehow, they always seem to go the extra mile to get the information.

    The best advice I have is stay in touch with your personal academic counselor. They are there for you and will work with you to be sure you are where your classes need to be. Then work with your financial aid counselor they know where to find the scholarships.

    I took my first few classes at Argosy on campus but I am an hour and a half from Nashville so I also take online classes. I always enjoyed the classes on campus. They are not large class sizes and it makes it easier to communicate with the teachers. The first few classes that I took on campus were really fun. We cut up a lot after class was over. It is always fun to meet new people!

    Argosy has a cafeteria and I have heard that it is really good but I have never been. I think the Art Institute runs it since they share a building.

    This campus comes fully equipped with round the clock campus security. There is always one guard in campus and one patrolling campus grounds. They produce crime reports, and even have the police patrol every once in a while. I truly feel safe on campus here.

    There is no Greek life. I think this is better. You have no football stars or frat brothers trampling on our serene environment.

Falling behind is falling prey to dropped classes. c. Do not be afraid to ask for help from the teachers and staff. They may seem intimidating, but everyone at Argosy is kind and knowledgeable.

    There are many options to fun during college life. Living on campus, you have the options of campus parties, getting together with friends, or just hanging in your dorm watching videos. Online studies have the same advantages other than campus parties you have the option to have a house party, you can get together with friends, or watch a movie and relax.

    Students should always take the initiative to further their education. I am 34 years old and I started late but I never gave up on success. Understanding that life is tough, never underestimate the power of knowledge. College degrees are not just for the individuals with the high GPA's out of high school anyone can obtain one. I am a 10 year veteran, working full time, and attending school. If I can do it then anyone can. Shoot for the stars and remember you are your own worst barrier in achieving a college degree.

    It's super expensive especially compared to the last school I went to but I think it's worth the money and then some. All the staff has been so nice and helpful to me. They reach out to me to see how I'm doing and if I need anything and if I do ask them for help everybody I have talked to has gone beyond the call of duty. I'm literally walked through whatever problem I have and it's explained to me in a way I can understand. Everything about this school so far is beyond amazing and I'm very happy with going there. i give it a 10 out of 1-10!!!

    Well even though I'm not going to a campus, I think it's fun to comment on as many students as I can because I enjoy reading the different answers. Also checking out all the different programs available to me is fun.

    There are rules that are mandatory to read and follow, you have to turn the assignments in on time but if something comes out just reach out to your advisor and work something out. So far both my advisor's have been very helpful and worked with me when I had issues. There's a discussion board for every assignment 1 and it's mandatory that I post on at least 3 different students, more is suggested because we are graded on our participation and this a huge part of the grade, at least twice a week. The assignments all have formats to follow and we're graded points for all the different formats for the assignment to equal the final grade. It's super easy to submit assignments and comment on the discussion board but u have to have the word program in order to complete some assignments.
    Tips for prospective students

    Check it out and get going! Not only is the staff helpful and nice but they truly care about you doing well. They reach out to me several times a week even if I haven't asked them to first. They all are there to answer questions and do what they can to see that all my questions are answered. The assignments are spaced out and there's time between them to ask questions. I went to another University campus and this school has been amazing compared. I am happy with this school and suggest check it out and see what you think.

    Since, I enrolled everything was fine, however till today I don't qualify to receive financial aid due to exceeded my time limit. I am senior student left with only 13 classes to graduating receiving my BA degree, but unfortunately they started me to pursuing my education and left me almost to completing.     If you are looking to major in psychology and want a more serious envronment, Argosy is for you. The school offers serious fields and majors for you to go in and the student population is mostly middle aged. If that works for you, go for it!

    None really come to mind, to be honest. Matter of fact, I doubt Argosy has any unusual traditions. No specific locations either. The school is just a sort of office building in Arlington, VA. Very deceiving if you're on the outside looking in, because you wouldn't think there'd be a forensic lab, computer lab, dozens of classrooms on several floors, and it's own library.

    I'm not trying to make my school sound perfect, because every college has it's flaws. The issues I've come across in the 2 yrs I've been a student were just some financial errors and mistakes where I was given a course I didn't need and then has to later withdraw from. Aside from that, it is a wonderful school.

    Argosy is always hosting meetings and gatherings on campus for the students to participate in. Whether it's a holiday thing or just something random for the students to be apart of.

    Argosy doesn't have a cafeteria, but there is a student lounge with a microwave, fridge, and drink/snack machines. I wouldn't mind either way of they did or didn't have an entire cafeteria available.

    Argosy University doesn't doesn't have dorms. In m opinion, that doesn't make it better or worse than any other college that does have dorms. I think colleges with on-campus living seems more distracting for the student and why 1st year students tend to drop out and/or fail.

    They are so on top of participation and tardiness. You miss three assignments or miss three scheduled classes (without giving your instructor a proper excuse prior to that day), and you fail. And if you miss more than that, you're withdrawn from the school entirely. I think this is a good thing because all you're doing is wasting the school's time and your money. Argosy is no nonsense when it comes to the education they provide.

    The only tip I have to give is don't hesitate to express yourself. Meaning you will not feel like you can't ask for help or express whatever you're concerned about towards your education at Argosy.

    The Psychology programs at Argosy University are some of the best in the nation, are very informative, and provide subjects that are actually beneficial for the workplace. The Facilitators are extremely knowledgeable and all currently work in the field in some capacity. The advising staff are wonderful, keep in contact regularly and are extremely encouraging at all times.

    I am a full time Pharmacy Technician, Full time mother of 8, Full time wife, part time Avon lady and full time student. The ability to schedule school work around all the many facets of my life has been amazingly simple. The terms are short and fast paced, but you learn so much. If you can't make it to a campus for classes Argosy University Online is your best bet!

    Argosy University Online is an awesome opportunity for students like me who work full time, and have a family. I am able to schedule class time around my word and family schedules. Any time I need to talk to staff I just have to email or call them, I have never had to wait longer than about one hour for a response via email, and I am connected almost immediately via phone. I love this school and the flexibility it allows me.
    What to do for fun

    The home school holds student appreciation days that are awesome.

    Again, it's an online school, no food and dining unless you call home your cafeteria, then the food and dining is exactly what you want every time you go to get something to eat!

    No dorms! Well unless you call home your dorm, then the dorms are AWESOME!

    The online classes are a challenge, papers every week, but the rewards are worth it. You may be studying online but you are not alone, tutor services are available any time! You will be challenged, but you will learn a tremendous amount in less time!

    People who do not like sitting in class with 150 other people, with stadium seating, and instead of personally talking to the professor, it is the TA who is just as rued! Argosy is perfect for people who want to get to know their professors as well as their classmates. People who like to be graded on more than just three exams a semester (this is how it is at huge universities). You actually feel like you have a say in your education; for once you don't feel like a zombie!

    Again, it is a huge city with anything from museums to beaches. Whatever adventure you are looking for, you will definitely find it in the heart of City! Oh and the campus is right next to Millennium Park.... a perfect place for between classes!

    Chicago Style Hot Dogs and Pizza! Hows that for food?!? The city is your'e dining experience... better than dorm food I'd say!

    I have attended three different universities and I did not feel like I had learned anything, but when I started at Argosy I felt like I was actually getting something out of my education!

    If the big campus life, where no one knows you and you know no one, is not your idea of fun; check Argosy out. Just call the admissions office and someone will immediatly get back to you, answer all your questions, and walk you through it step by step!

    Chicago campus is APA accredited and allows one the option of either online courses or on campus. Smaller classes with great teachers that actually take the time of day to talk to you as well as help you (no lecture halls where the teacher doesn't know you)! Anything I have ever needed help with academically, the resources have always been readily available. It is an awesome school!

    Busy individuals that are looking to continue their education in their own time frame and have that education fit within their own life on a daily basis.

    Because I am not hampered by a traditional classroom, I can go wherever I want, whenever I want. I can even go out of state and not have to worry about missing any assignments or school hours. I love the freedom of online learning.

    As an online student, I can choose whatever I want to eat at any time that I want to eat it. I can stop my school day to be able to do whatever it is that I want to do for food.
    Dorm Life

    As I am enrolled in the online classes only, my dorm life is my own living room. Who could ask for a better dorm life than that?

    The classes are set up online so that you can focus on one class at a time without having to worry about taking multiple classes at one time. This eliminates the worry of multiple homework tasks from varying classes.

    If you are looking for a college that fits into your schedule, this is the college for you. They walk you through all of the tougher aspects of getting into college and make sure that you have a clear idea of what you would like to do with your college and future career.
