  • The actual dorms (when I lived there) were ok, we had typical maintenance issues because the buildings are old, but as of this summer ('12) I hear they're renovating so...…

Either you eat in the cafeteria which isn't worth half of the price charged or you get quality food from the Perk and pay double the price!

The Galley is basically your only option for food here. The pantry and the patio cafe have sandwiches, but if you want a hot meal, you go to the galley. Meal plans are required if you live on campus. The food here is atrocious. I honestly only ever eat there when I'm desperate for food and have meals left. It usually smells funky when you walk in, and you leave disappointing and get hungry not very shortly after you leave. Make sure you know how to cook well if you come to this school.

There is a meal plan that you can buy as a student, but I have not tried the food.

Again, I don't live on campus, so I don't dine there. I do know the little food store they have is expensive. There are also two Starbucks coffee shops on campus, for all the caffeine-fueled students.

There is a Quiznos and WOW cafe as well as a cafeteria on campus. The surrounding area gives you a decent selection as well.

There are only a few fraternities or sororities on campus, and they're more like clubs than anything. There are no Greek houses, so meetings are held in UH or the student union. They don't have mixers or parties like typical greeks at larger colleges. They're very clique-y and dominate the lobby of the student union.

Greek Life if amazing! However, Armstrong doesnt have much Greek Life. But our sister school is Savannah State University, which is literally across the street. We go over to their school every now and then to watch the fraternities and sororities stroll and compete. Its really intense

There are 10 Greek organizations on the Campus. Four big name organizations are Alpha Sigma Tau, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Pi Kappa Alpha, and Kappa Sigma. They are a close family but have a lot of issues with all about them. If it isn't going to benefit their organization then they are not interested in participating. If you are a freshman, DO NOT RUSH. Wait a year, make friends through other clubs and your classes. It will get in the way of your grades and you will change your priorities to be only about that organization. Not good if you are trying to get an education and not just fake friends out of your college experience.
