Categories Comments Great for these types of students Great for students who are looking for cheap, but quality education, parents, kids on their own, or anyone who loves to save money and enjoy Austin!
Tips for prospective students Don't forget you ARE going to be at a community college. The social life is the pits. But the learning enviroment is great. Everyone is there for the degree and wants to learn.
Bang for the buck I am extremely excited that my dad was able to my tuition for my two classes and I am living on my own, all without loans, grants, or any other financial help. Having lower tuition definitely caters to my lifestyle.
Am enjoying being here I am excited to wake up every Tuesday and Thursday to go to my speech class. The class involves activities and debates that excite every student. My government class, however, makes me want to fall asleep.
Am learning a lot I have been learning a lot in my speech class, because I haven't had a speech class since the 8th grade. My teacher, Michelle Syltie, is fun and helpful in everything. However, my government class with Charles Miles is more of a repeat of all of my AP high school history classes than anything else.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students The best tip I can give is to sign up early for your classes! You're not the only one that is taking advantage of this great institution therefore the classes will go quickly; well the ones with the best times that is. Also, stay organized. Organizing all of your paperwork will be a big help to you. It will keep your payment deadlines, schedule, etc. much easier to keep track of and be a lot less stressful for you in the end. Finally, good luck and have fun in college!
Bang for the buck I personally have to pay for school on my own as well as all my living expenses. Because of this I really appreciate the great prices ACC offers to its students, especially those living in district. It makes my life a lot easier and makes going to school more readily available to students like myself who are paying out of their own pocket.
Am enjoying being here The small classes and beautiful scenery at the campus make it very pleasant to attend ACC Cypress Creek. It is a very comfortable environment and extremely easy to navigate. All of this makes college seem a little less intimidating especially for in-coming freshman.
Am learning a lot I am learning so much at ACC Cypress Creek. The teachers are very helpful and so willing to stop and explain if one does not understand.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus safety is a constant importance to ACC. The officers are prompt, courteous, and vigilant.
Greek Life ACC provides a local chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
Clubs and Activities Student Life offers a diverse array of clubs and community events.
Great for these types of students ACC is great for all kinds of students who want to learn from community oriented instructors. ACC hires intellectual staff who believe in enriching and cultivating the minds of the those who want to learn. I am personally highly impressed by the director of the music program at ACC Northridge as he has worked for major recording labels and knows the music business inside and out.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The ACC mascot is the ACC River Bats. An adorable purple bat which pays homage to the legacy of Austin, Texas bat colonies.
Bang for the buck For the price, you can not get a better deal. The quality of the staff, services, and facilities is exemplary. They keep the campuses clean, well stocked with technology, quality classes, and a relaxed atmosphere.
What to do for fun Austin Community College District has many clubs and student events. Live music, theater, special speakers and lectures, recitals, and public awareness events are a constant at ACC. ACC takes pride in community involvement and enrichment of the community they serve.
Food and Dining Each campus has a quality cafeteria with drinks, food, and snacks.
Dorm Life Dorms are not available.
Academic Rigor The academic rigor of ACC is amazing. They have well rounded educational programs that tease creativity and innovation. Excellence is rewarded while challenging the students to excel inside and outside the class room.
Tips for prospective students Prospective students should request to sit down with an adviser who can explain the degree plan specific to the students interest. The staff are there to help you and are most agreeable. Austin Community College District has a wide range of exceptional programs to choose from with knowledgeable and dedicated staff.
In three sentences Austin Community College has a diverse array of educational programs available. They have wonderful staff would work exceptionally hard to accommodate the needs of their students while providing a top quality educational program. This is one of the best community colleges I have ever had the opportunity to attend.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Anyone who doesn't want to pay back student loans for the rest of their lives and wants a fun, growing experience with a patient and helpful college.
Tips for prospective students I would definitely suggest any students in the Austin area to go to ACC for the first two years before transferring to a 4 year college. You will save thousands of dollars in the long run.
Bang for the buck My tuition for 11 hours last semester was $1000. I learned so much. It is great for those of us who have to pay out of pocket and are on a limited budget.
Am enjoying being here The campus is a 5 minute drive from my house and the experience has just been really positive.
Am learning a lot For the price this school has some amazing teachers and learning facilities.

Categories Comments Campus Safety It just all depends in what part of town you take your class. The North Ridge campus of North Austin is extremely safe and friendly, whereas the East-view campus, although very new, it is located in a very low-income area and has had many violent incidents. At the same time, the campus police are always around and available, and are willing to walk you to your car at night if you feel unsafe.
Greek Life No greek life that I'm aware of.
Clubs and Activities The student life is extremely active at the campuses I've been. Although most people don't have the time to sit and talk, they are always trying to get everyone involved and I find that wonderful. There are all sorts of clubs and activities at each campus, including sports and arts. They're open to all kinds of people and are very welcoming. I was upset that I had to attend this college at first, but after going here for a semester, everyone is ultimately in the same boat and you tend to form kinships especially in these clubs and activities.
Great for these types of students This college is great for students of all types, and I have seen all those types in my classes. From lazy to driven; from young to old; these students can be fantastic and contribute to the life-changing experiences I have mentioned. This campus offers a wide variety of people a wide variety of classes.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I am actually not aware of any traditions or such on campus.
Bang for the buck Especially if you live in district, you get more than what you pay for. Convenience is key, and that's what makes it worth the money you pay. Compared to university, these classes are extremely cheap, but still the same quality as such.
What to do for fun There are many different activities, sports, and shows especially during the spring semesters. As well, the library is expansive and each campus has a lot of things to do off campus. Especially the Rio Grande campus, located near the heart of downtown Austin. 6th street is just a few blocks away, and offers many nightlife activities as well as access to other festivals and celebrations.
Food and Dining Each campus has their own version of Joe's Cafe, and each one I've visited so far is very good. It's pricey, but some campuses you can't be picky since there sometimes aren't many other fast-food or dining places around. At the same time, some campuses are close to tons of different dining places! Again, the convenience of this college is extraordinary.
Dorm Life Sadly, there is no Dorm Life, but there are many different apartment complexes surrounding each campus which is definitely convenient. I find that the community is definitely involved.
Academic Rigor Again, it depends on the campus and the teachers when you're looking for a good, intense class where you learn what you're paying for. I've met some very unenthusiastic professors, as well as professors that have changed my thinking and my life all for the better. I might not have made the grades, but I have definitely changed my attitude thanks to many of these professors.
Tips for prospective students For any prospective students, asking others about professors and classes is best instead of finding out in class. Also, toughing it out for some courses is what you need, and that can go for any college or university. I always find myself disappointed in foreign language courses when the class dissipates because they find it too hard; there are tutors and other classmates willing to help!
In three sentences Although this college is in fact a community college, it's really not that bad of a school. It definitely depends on campuses, but that's the great part about it; you can choose whichever campus you want, find the teacher you want, and choose from a lot of classes. Also, this college revolves around convenience, be it by location, transportation, or even scheduling.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are police officers on campus as late as the students, faculty, and staff. I always feel safe on campus. I know they are there for a battery jump, safe walk, or any little concerns. The officers are always polite and kind.
Great for these types of students ACC is great for students who want to dive directly into a workforce career. It gives students a degree for exactly what they want.
What to do for fun Austin has several venues that college students enjoy. The college is always hosting an event or telling students how to find one. The events are always educational and helpful for classes.
Food and Dining ACC has on-campus dining. I would have to say is 5-star. They are fast, and the food is always delicious!
Dorm Life There are no dorms at ACC; however, apartments in Austin, Texas, aren't priced badly. The life within the classrooms have given me lifelong friends. I know that dorms are the same experience.
Academic Rigor Just because ACC is a junior college doesn't mean that their programs are easy. Classes are smaller so learning here is simpler. There is more time for the professors to engage with the students. Academically, they are hard but not impossible.
Tips for prospective students Never stop learning. It is important to remember that college isn't all work and no play. ACC has several programs for students looking for clean and wholesome fun!
In three sentences ACC has been one of the most invigorating experiences of my life. I enjoy attending classes, listening to my professors and having one-on-one help. Here college is more than an education; it is a lifestyle of learning!

Categories Comments Great for these types of students If your family can't afford to help you that much with college, ACC is a great deal. The credits at ACC transfer to most major universities, so it really is a great deal.
Tips for prospective students If you haven't decided what you want to do, or where to go, then taking your core classes at ACC is a pretty good idea. While you think about what you want to do with your life, you can make steady progress towards that goal without even realizing it.
Bang for the buck ACC is very cheap and offers scholarships for people in need. I've never been happier with the bang for my buck than at ACC.
Am enjoying being here ACC is a low stress high success college. All campus' are located in convenient locations in Austin, and each campus has it's own area of focus. The buildings are clean, and the staff are friendly. Even your classmates are average people just like you who are easy to get along with.
Am learning a lot ACC offers a very broad list of classes that any student can enjoy. Within each class there are many different teachers that have many different styles of teaching which create a wide variety of ways to learn at ACC.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Working mom's and dads (like me and my wife), students on a budget, students not quite yet sure what degree they want to seek.
Tips for prospective students Visit with advisers, tour the campuses and register as soon as you possibly can!
Bang for the buck My opinion is quite biased on this point because I do receive veteran assistance, but I have looked at many colleges in the area and ACC offers affordable education. Now if we could only say that about textbook publishers ;)
Am enjoying being here I've always found the students, professors and administration to be friendly and attentive to my queries.
Am learning a lot It is your own personal choice how much knowledge you receive from your education. ACC professors and curriculum provide the opportunity for you to learn!

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students who would like to take basic courses and learn the hang of college before going to a university.
Tips for prospective students Be very alert, and get to know your teachers! They don't know anything more about you besides your work and grades! Build a relationship with them for better understanding of certain situations later on down the line. Also, come to class prepared and ready to learn! Be energized!!
Bang for the buck The campus is very cheaper than going straight into a university! I see some people only paying $700.00 for three classes. That's really not bad. I recommend everyone to look into the campus before going into a university. It's a lot cheaper to do your basic courses there and transfer to the school of your choice.
Am enjoying being here The campus is great! Friendly people, and teachers. There is always something going with the campus and they try to make it as fun as a university with some of the clubs they have on campus!
Am learning a lot ACC teachers are really nice and helpful. Before you pick your classes there is a website that students use to rate teachers before you take the course. They student lab is very nice and helps those students who need the extra help in their studies. Since I've became a student with ACC, I can honestly say I've gain some much needed knowledge for my studies.

Categories Comments What to do for fun I usually listen to music or go walking. It helps calm the nerves down or relieves stress from homework.
Food and Dining Always try to keep everything lower than $15. Anything over will take away from your next tuition bill.
Dorm Life I don't live in the dorms but I hear it's quite an experience.
Academic Rigor Always go to the Academic Learning Lab, they will always help out if you ask for the help.
Tips for prospective students Don't underestimate any instructor. Listen well and try to do your best. Always ask for help.

Food and Dining Cafe is pretty decent
Dorm Life No dorms
Academic Rigor Professors will help you out a great deal but you have to put in the effort.
Tips for prospective students Austin community college faculty is really helpful, but just because its a community college doesn't mean you can slack off, you still need to complete your task.
In three sentences It is defiantly a good school, and for those who are not exactly ready to jump into the college scene and want to save money, Austin Community college is definitely one of the best options out there for students.

Categories Comments Campus Safety the only safety hazards are with chemicals in the science labs or in the parking lot (it's quite small and some people don't care about parking in the lines).
Greek Life not really much of a greek life here...
Clubs and Activities there are lots of activities going on year round, but i wish there were more clubs. i think there's about two dozen that are active at the moment.
Great for these types of students students who want to save money and transfer to a 4 year university later, and those who want to take esl classes.
Bang for the buck in-district students get a great deal on tuition costs, but out-of-district students have to pay almost twice as much. it's still much cheaper than what i'd have to pay at university though.
What to do for fun join a club or organization and visit the student life center.
Food and Dining acc has a cafe called simon's cafe and the food is alright tastewise, but it's kind of expensive.
Dorm Life there are no dorms here.
Academic Rigor i've found that some classes can be extremely hard or extremely easy. it all depends on the professor. some give a boatload of homework, while others don't. it varies a lot.
Tips for prospective students talk to an advisor to help plan your classes! if you don't know what to major in, you can talk to the counselors on campus.
In three sentences the people here are friendly and cool. most of the professors are great and have good classes. finding a parking space is really difficult though.

Great for these types of students students, who aren't sure if they will like college or have to work to help pay for college, should start at least their basics here to get a good idea of what is expected.
What to do for fun not really a college for activities. more to get use to the schedule life of college and get either basics or a associate's degree.
Food and Dining there is plenty of food choices around all of their campuses.
Academic Rigor i think the academic rigor is perfect.
Tips for prospective students attend orientations, be prepared and take part in study groups whenever possible.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Lots of officers on campus but there are not too many cameras and surveillance in the parking lots. However during emergency evacutions it is obvious where one is suppose to go.
Clubs and Activities There are lots of activities but I'm not aware of them.
Great for these types of students Tis a good choice for those who are not sure what they want to persue or do not financially have the money to attend major university. It also works well for adults who raise a family, have kids, work full time during the day because there are online classes and night/weekend classes too.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Cedar Park Riverside campus on Riverside and Grove St South Austin campus next to Stassney and Manchaca Pinnacle campus by 290/71 Oak Hill intersection
Bang for the buck Extremely affordable if one lives in-district, but for those of us who live a mile outside from the boundaries must pay around $300 per credit hour.
What to do for fun Nothing much to do since I work before and after my classes. I love in labs that one works in groups (Biology) and exchanging of contact information is a must.
Food and Dining Depends on which campus one attends. Luckily they are mostly in Austin outside of downtown so there are grocery centers and some have lots of fast food places around.
Dorm Life None
Tips for prospective students Speak with an advisor and do not necessarily assume you need to know what you want to major in. ACC is perfect for those who live in-district because tuition in affordable and could end up saving hundreds compared to if one went to a university.
In three sentences I love the classes because they are small and professors have the time to help students one on one. I like that there are multiple campuses, but dislike that not all campuses have the basic courses required. I must say the flexiblility of choosing when you want to go to a class, the number of days, and the total number weeks you would like to attend a class is amazing-other colleges require one to go when they tell you to and classes on Monday and Wednesday mean there is also class on Friday (which I have never gone to).

Categories Comments Greek Life Phi Theta Kappa for academics
Great for these types of students First starting out college students who are still figuring out what they want to study and are able to experiment in different areas without breaking the bank.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Our mascot is the Riverbat. It's a famous Austin tradition of watching the Mexican free-tail bats leave at night from under Congress bridge in the fall.
What to do for fun Student life offers a variety of activities and ACC is always involved with the community.
Food and Dining Some cafes are located on ACC campuses. The food is good for the price.
Dorm Life ACC doesn't provide dorms.
Academic Rigor Many of the students aren't sure which direction they're going in with their academic career, so the learning environment can be a bit stagnant when it comes to class discussions. Higher-level, more specialized classes become more difficult.
Tips for prospective students Stay on top of registration! All students should be ready to register for the classes they need at midnight they day you are eligible. Many people attend community colleges, so classes fill up fast. Also, meet with advisers often to make sure you are on track with your goals.
In three sentences Austin Community College is a great college to jump-start your educational career. The Staff is wonderful but the students could be more enthusiastic about their learning environment. The ACC advisers are very helpful but the saturated college makes it hard to get into the classes you need.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Join clubs and organizations at the Student Life office!
Food and Dining At each campus, there is a Simon's cafe. Food tastes good, but expensive.
Dorm Life I didn't attend a dorm, so ignore the 1 star!
Academic Rigor You are given a syllabus at the start of the semester and that will be your map for the course. The courses range from easy to hard. Most of the time your success will be determined by how much time you are willing to spend on each course and how you budget your time wisely. If the course gets really tough, ask your professor for help! That's why they're there in the first place. If your work schedule doesn't correspond to their office hours, you can schedule an appointment with them. Also, there are free tutors online and in person.
Tips for prospective students Attend orientation! You can make the most out of your experience if you learn the academic resources available for you. Join clubs and organizations, it's a great way to meet new friends. You can choose your own schedule from a wide variety of choices: weekends, mornings, afternoons, evenings, hybrid courses, distance learning. There are currently 8 locations dispersed on north, west, east, south parts of austin to accommodate a huge populace.
In three sentences ACC make dreams reachable by providing affordable education to everyone. The professors are not only very knowledgeable, they make sure that you understand the material well and are always there to support you in your studies. I had a great experience studying here. I love ACC!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Never heard of any safety problems and ACC is now smoke free!!
Greek Life There is the Phi Theta Kappa Organization. To be included you must have taken about 6 or 12 credits at ACC and have a 3.5 GPA.
Clubs and Activities There are many clubs on every campus, however getting students involved in events such as community work can sometimes be difficult. Students are are easily attracted to free food and enjoy when it is served by various clubs. It would be nice to see more clubs join together to put on more diversity/community events that can benefit our environment.
Great for these types of students The Rio Grande Campus has a large number of blind students and various equipment to help them out. There are also Sign Language courses here and a Sign language lab. Students who prefer to be close to downtown will enjoy being on the Rio Grande Campus.
What to do for fun 1) Start or Join a club. 2) Get to know various people. 3) Tell student life on your campus about what you would like to see happen on campus.
Tips for prospective students 1) To start with students should make sure to ask every question they have in mind to the advisers, they need to know what you are thinking of and in which areas you need help. 2) Don't start out college declaring any major if you are unsure f what you want to be. Start out with the general education electives and you will find what you enjoy in one or more of these classes. 3) be involved with our community, start a club or get involved with a club in which you have common interests, it is very important to have a good support system in college. 4) Be open to new opportunities and don't be scared if you develop into a different person, seek advising and counseling about any feelings that bother you.
In three sentences Austin Community College is a great place to start out your college education. They have excellent teachers, easy to access tutoring labs, resources for checking out equipment such as calculators and other media, and nice people. Two downsides on the campus I attend, from my view Rio Grande needs stronger resources for students to get good advising and personal counseling services and student need to be more involved with organizations and community activities.

Bang for the buck Returning back to school after so many years was really very hard. Feeling like Goldilocks, I needed a school that was not too big, not too small, not too cold, not too hot, not too hard, not too soft, but just right! That is what Austin Community College is for me. It is just right. This place is the ideal place to: get your Associates Degree, transfer to a larger University, or just to get the ideal technical degree that you need in order to get an ideal career under way. Austin Community college is ideal for several reasons. First, the cost is lesser than most. Second, this is a college that believes in second chances and as such the college offers a level of teaching that is hard to match. First, let us discuss cost. Cost, did I mention money? Yes, I did, and here is the skinny of the deal. One nearby public university charges resident students $423 per semester hour. Another nearby university charges resident students $618 and these two are public universities! If you want to price a private liberal arts college, her resident students pay $1038 per semester hour at a minimum. So basically, you can go to Austin Community College and pay $57 per semester hour. Why would you pay the cost of one of the local universities when you can get upwards of 60 hours at a discounted rate! I plan to graduate with my Associates in fall 2012 before continuing on to get my Bachelors at a local university. I estimate that I have saved $ 13,200 in tuition costs just by attending Austin Community College for the two years prior! Second, this is a college that believes in second chances. Usually when you think of community college you think of some guy in some big hair band that flunked out of life. Mean but it is a stereotype, right? Guess what? I have published Professors. I have professors that have spent years making a difference in the world for the better. These people are part of activist groups. They are people who give within their community. These are the professors that want a well educated society that encompass the ideal citizen. They want a citizenry group that grasps hold of the economic, educational, monetary and political reigns controlling the future of America. All of the campus locations have learning labs with Professors working in the lab. Not to mention that most lab employees hold doctorates and/or masters degrees. Not only are they helping you walk the walk, they have walked it before you. While you are trying to work toward an Associates Degree they have done it and might have a PHD in their title but they do not look down upon you. Well, that is just how great my school is. My school outshines the others strictly because of the lesser economic burden and the excellent service. How can you lose? Check it! www.austincc.edu.
What to do for fun omg, your in Austin, you can do anything!!!
Academic Rigor Tough but fair
Tips for prospective students Put in the effort and they will too.
In three sentences Austin Community College charges $57 a semester hour vs $618 a semester hour of University. Most professors have been published, have doctorates, donate their time within their community and are never snobbish when I ask questions. I love this school!

Categories Comments Campus Safety The police are always patrolling the campus to make sure nothing suspicious may be happening. I actually talk to them often and they are always so friendly. It's nice knowing that you're at a campus where safety comes first.
Clubs and Activities The clubs at ACC are very inviting. If you love the family feel joining clubs or getting involved is the best way to do it.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I know that almost every week there are venues set up around the campus. Some offer free food so don't be afraid to just listen to what they have to offer. They also give away goodies such as shades or on the go snacks. Who knew getting to know whats happening at your campus could be so much fun?
Bang for the buck What not to splurge at: food & clothes. In college I promise that NO ONE will be able to x-ray vision through your clothes and be able to tell that you ate a $50 steak with those fish eggs (gross). Clothes are suppose to fade or ruin, so don't try making them last forever. Spend the money on things that depend on the best like your car, which takes you everywhere, or just save it for a rainy day.
What to do for fun Since I live in Austin there is a lot to do. Most of the time college students are on a budget ( I know I am), so three hot spots would be kayaking, dollar movies, and skating. Inexpensive and very fun!
Food and Dining What can I say, I'm a great cook! Ever since I started living on my own I have learned how to make many Italian dishes (my favorite), American food, Brazilian dishes and much more.
Dorm Life I actually live on my own right now. Yes, I may be 18 but I am capable to do just as much as anyone else. I have my own apartment, car, buy my own food and pay all my bills on time. No, my parents do not help me but it's not because of any punishment but in support of myself for being a strong independent woman.
Academic Rigor I actually just decided to change my minor from criminal justice to accounting. Like I said earlier, when you try new things you might change the way you think. The classes at Austin Community College not only prepare you for a career but they also help you choose the right path you may never have considered.
Tips for prospective students Don't waste any time you have in the non-fiction world. Do not pass any chances for opportunities. Also, don't be afraid of change. Nothing is set so sometimes you just have to see where life may take you.
In three sentences I like how everything is on your own at Austin Community College, it makes me feel more responsible than ever. The teachers are very understanding but not to the point where they can be taken advantage of. ACC also provides help for anything whether it be tutoring or receiving a job, they know exactly what direction to steer you in.

Dorm Life Since it is a community college there are not dorms. I myself moved to Austin from Houston, so I did have to find living arrangements. I got a place at a student living apartment complex and absolutley love it! I have met so many people that I will never forget!

And then we just hide in plain sight of the lovely ladies of the office so the bullies can't say anything and eventually leave when their ride comes. That's just personal experience. I've never otherwise felt unsafe at ACC.
Greek Life If you haven't gotten the picture by now, this is a community college. I don't even think we have a mascot. The closest thing we have to parties is that Halloween party and then just little clumps of people sometimes stick around and chat after class. DO NOT EXPECT A GREEK LIFE. We are all here for one thing: An education.
Food and Dining Same as with dorms: This is a community college. I have no idea what your campuses are like in the bigger towns, but here in Fredericksburg we have some vending machines and a very, very nice lounge.
Dorm Life Nothing to say here. This is a community college. Most students are dual-enrolled from the high-school at this specific campus, and not too many people come from further away than the outskirts of tow. Enough said.
Academic Rigor Some of the professors here are really brilliant - in fact, I haven't come across one that wasn't either funny, easy to get along with, or interesting. The US history teacher most of us get at this campus is a real bright gent who brings in fantastic artifacts that really scream out to you, hey, this really did happen. This isn't something from your book. And most of the teachers are flexible and understanding. a big help for those of us who sometimes make some... mistakes and things.
Tips for prospective students The teacher will tell you if you really need the book. You really don't always need to buy it. And if you buy it, buy it off Amazon, a few additions back, unless it's for that computer class, and in that case the teacher should warn you about that. You can also buy it off another student, or trade textbooks with your friends. Never pay full price for a textbook. Be kind to the office staff. They can save your sorry behind on numerous occasions and you will be grateful.
In three sentences -It all depends on the campus you are attending, as the classes vary somewhat depending on location. -Just like any other college, it is what you make it. -A good jumping-off point for getting your little basic classes before you transfer to a big college.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck Very definitely a great place to earn your general credits before you go on to a 4 year institute.
Food and Dining Simon's Cafe has the monopoly on all the ACC campuses. The Korean couple in the Pinnacle campus are my favorite, they are so nice. Food's not bad but nothing to rave about. Lots of healthy options as well.
Dorm Life Nonexistent.
Academic Rigor A lot of the teachers are professionals who teach on the side or are former UT professors (it seems ACC is nicer towards its professors than UT is). I am taking mostly STEM courses and find the classes difficult yet stimulating.
Tips for prospective students Take advantage of everything the school has to offer, free tutors, computer labs, learning labs with textbooks you can use while on campus, and wonderful counselors/advisors. This may be a community college but a lot of the professors here used to teach at UT so the classes are rigorous. Do not blow it off.
In three sentences It is a stepping stone on your academic journey. The teachers want you to succeed so they are very helpful, but ultimately only you are in charge of your education. Between mostly helpful professors and excellent learning labs with free tutors, there is no reason you cannot succeed here.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Student life offers many fun programs to keep you involved at school.
Food and Dining They do have a cafe. They sell great food choices for health fanatics and they also have the normal greasy foods. Vending machines are also available through out the campuses for convenience.
Dorm Life Austin Community College does not have dorm life.
Academic Rigor They are very serious about their deadlines and procedures. You must follow their guidance in order to register, complete financial aid, and to make sure you do meet all requirements.
Tips for prospective students As long as you have self motivation you can succeed in any class and overcome all of your obsticles.
In three sentences Austin Community College is a very diverse school that is helpful for any kind of student looking to continue education. The many locations make it easy for students all over the Austin area to attend. Staff is very helpful and they will let you know everything that you need to be a student at ACC.

Categories Comments Campus Safety It is pretty safe I gotta admit but it depends on the campus you go to.
Greek Life None.
Clubs and Activities There are a ton of activities and clubs one just needs to go to SL(Student Life) and ask for them, most of the organizations are pretty nice.
Great for these types of students Again, if you're trying to get a certificate or just want to transfer this school is great. Plus since you're close to UT you're more likely to get accepted, as long as you have a decent GPA and were active in school activities. Counselors are really helpful when it comes to transferring.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus As long as I know there is really not any unusual traditions.
Bang for the buck I think this school is worth it, in my case it was worth spending less money on a school that was going to give me the credits to transfer, rather than spend a bunch of money on a school that I disliked.
What to do for fun If you're between 18-20 most of the things you'll want to do is party and sadly ACC doesn't offer them but UT does so most of us (young-students) tend to go to the frat parties or clubs for fun.
Food and Dining ACC doesn't offer a meal plan so I need to buy my own groceries.
Dorm Life Since is a community college it doesn't have a dorm, I'm currently living in an apartment with three other girls but I'm loving it so far and two of them also go to ACC!
Academic Rigor Well I think it's pretty easy, the classes are not challengeable at all.
Tips for prospective students Most of the students here are planning to transfer, but there are also adults trying to get a degree or a certificate. If you want to get the college experience go to the Rio Grande campus most of the other campuses have a more mature student body.
In three sentences Interesting. Different. Small classes. I love my campus the atmosphere is a harmonious one. Most of the teachers are really nice, and one gets to know the people really well because average size of the classes are 12-36 people.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Very safe and very friendly campuses. While some of the campuses are in downtown Austin in the heavy traffic areas, the campuses themselves are very safe with security being just down the hall.
Bang for the buck This college is perfect for getting your basics out of the way for a fifth of the price of a regular university. Keeps you out of the loans until you transfer to a university.
What to do for fun Get to know your classmates! There is plenty of time between classes to get acquainted with your peers. Make connections that will last through your transfer to the university, who knows when you'll need them!
Food and Dining With the lack of dorms, there is also a lack of food service to go with it. At least the local Whataburger is always open.
Dorm Life ACC is a community college. Sorry to say that there are no dorms included.
Academic Rigor The classes are pretty easy with the exception of the online courses. Those are to be avoided unless you feel that you can organize your time in a way to meet strict deadlines.
Tips for prospective students Don't freak out about the prospects of college and just try to keep yourself organized. Time management is the only thing that can steer you wrong when taking classes here, as the professors usually do what they can to make sure you don't fail.
In three sentences In my time at ACC, I found that the advisers are quick to get you onto the right path in your degree/transfer plans, and are usually well informed about any extra measures you need to meet. Very helpful staff and understanding professors who find time to help you when needed

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Great for non-traditional students who have families or who work during the day. Several night classes offered and most locations.
Bang for the buck ACC is very affordable!! Get a free Austin Metro bus pass each term. Part of your fees cover the cost of this pass, so take advantage of it and avoid the driving and parking headaches.
Food and Dining Each campus has a cafe area offered on campus. ACC campuses are small, but most are located within short distances from a wide variety of eating establishments.
Academic Rigor There are over 200 degree and certificate programs offered at ACC. The academic standards are similar to those found at four-year colleges and universities. ACC will definitely prepare students for transfer to those institutions.
Tips for prospective students Make the most of the many services offered through academic advising offices. The student life offices have several great programs for those who wish to be involved in campus life and activities.
In three sentences ACC has a wide range of certificate programs available, with several of them offering both day time and night classes. Many good opportunities for non-traditional students to be able to succeed in their chosen program.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Great for transfer students. Though I'm not sure, I think the video game degrees are good as well.
What to do for fun There are certainly a lot of clubs on many campuses around town. Check them out and have fun!
Food and Dining The cafes that are already in place in most student lounges are not bad.
Dorm Life Well, seeing as there are no official dorms for this community college, I can't rate it anything. However, since I must rate it something, I guess I'll give it a 5.
Academic Rigor Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it's less rigorous. Much sacrifice must be made. As a joke goes, Choose 2 of the following: Social Life, School Work, Sleep. Welcome to college. This college is no different, other than there are no dorms.
Tips for prospective students If you're using this college for transferring purposes, then you've chosen a good one. Otherwise, I have no clue what to say to you other than I hope that whatever you do at ACC works out for you.
In three sentences The professors there are great (at least in the computer science department). With free bus passes, transportation is only a matter of finding the right time to get on the bus. Finally, the education I received there is great.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I always feel safe here. And the campus cops are very reliable and friendly.
Clubs and Activities Not many clubs or orgs, but the ones that are there are plenty to get you started!
Great for these types of students Recent High School graduates. It's small classes, teachers are more one-on-one with you. Definitely a great transition for those moving into a bigger university right from High School.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Nothing much.
Bang for the buck Definitely quality and the price is so affordable.
What to do for fun Join organizations! You won't regret it!
Food and Dining Definitely need to change it's cafeteria... it's not horrible, but it's not okay either. The prices are outrageous for microwavable food...
Dorm Life It's a community college, there are no dorms.
Academic Rigor College is college, you have to step up.
Tips for prospective students Don't waste time and money, know what you want or at least have an idea! Always ask for help, do everything you can to get the right answer. Get involved! It really isn't about the grades anymore... anyone can have good grades! They want you to be well rounded! Clubs, Orgs, Student Life, anything!
In three sentences They are a great school, but their Student Life can change many things to make it even better for all the students. Over all, it's a great school and a great place to start at if you're not sure what to do, or if you have a financial situation that does not let you go directly into a big university. I definitely recommend this school to those thinking of going to college but still can't throw themselves to the big universities.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus security staff is great and frequently patrolling the parking areas. I have never had a concern for my safety while on any of the campuses.
Great for these types of students New to college, high school students gaining dual credit, adult students returning to college for career enrichment or change, students who want to earn their associates and then transfer to a 4 year university. Just about anyone, really!
Bang for the buck Incredible education for a very low tuition. Austin Community College is a respected educator in the Central Texas area and as I mentioned before, the professors are tops and many of them also teach at UT or Texas State.
What to do for fun Go cheer on the Riverbats at a sporting event. Attend a student life coordinated function. Go out to Barton Springs for a quick swim after class.
Food and Dining Each campus offers a cafe that is affordable and offers a variety of menu items for those needed meals in between classes or study sessions.
Dorm Life As a community college, there is no dorm. The Student Life activities are numerous though.
Academic Rigor This isn't a college for those who aren't interested in being challenged or need to be spoon-fed information. While all my professors have been very helpful, they have also pushed me to assimilate the information and understand it, not just memorize and regurgitate on exams. Attendance counts in almost every class I've taken - show up and get a great education.
Tips for prospective students Utilize all the services that are offered to you, from advising to the tutoring at the Learning Labs, they are awesome and best of all free! Be prepared to learn at pace with 4 year universities, many of the professors at Austin Community College also teach at University of Texas State University.
In three sentences Affordable tuition doesn't mean skimping on the professors, class selection or variety of programs at ACC! I value the education and skills that I am gaining and I know that I will be prepared for my career upon graduation. The flexible class hours and variety of campuses make it easy to earn college credit, even around your job or family life.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I rate the school a 10. They are very careful to advertise when there is a danger zone.
Clubs and Activities Several on campus, just go to Student Life on Life and you will see the choices. Many to choose from.
Great for these types of students Any student fresh out of high school. Any mom who did not complete their education to raise children. Simply anyone who wants to further their education. This school is no respecter of age. Doesn't matter your age you can always come to ACC
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I see a lot of African American Culture areas. Allows people to get involved and not feel left out. not sure if that's the word I'm looking for.
Bang for the buck I believe this will have to be one of those, too early in my experience here to fairly rate the school. Ask me again in a year.
What to do for fun There are so many activities and projects to get involved with that you will not get bored at this campus. You can have something to do all week and keep yourself occupied. Student Life is the place to go.
Food and Dining I have to give them an 8. They have pretty much whatever kind of snack or taco you want. Not the best but very convenient. They also have vending machines in every building.
Dorm Life This is not a residential housing college. Rate a 1
Academic Rigor I am fairly new this is my second semester although feels like my first as I had to drop my first. I don't feel that I can honestly rate the school at this point in my experience. Rate an 8

Categories Comments What to do for fun Austin is full of things to do. It's the live music capital of the world, we have beautiful lakes and jogging trails. 6th Street is a hot spot for college students to become more social, and there are great areas for shopping even if you don't have a lot of cash.
Food and Dining The food on campus is decent but you may need a change after awhile. Luckily, there are lots of places around each campus including H-E-B (the best grocery store ever!!).
Academic Rigor It depends on the class, the campus and professor. For example, Anatomy is ridiculously hard. Plan to live in your textbook! But other classes are super easy.
Tips for prospective students If you need help with anything just ask! There is free tutoring, there are textbooks that you can check out from the library if you're strapped for cash, the financial aid office is super helpful and there are lots of really cool people who share a lot of the same goals you do.

Food and Dining The food is better than some of these fast food places ill tell you that much, although a bit more costly the cafe has definitely helped me in the long run.
Dorm Life This is not that kind of school. No dorms, although their are campuses by apartments that's as close as it gets.
Academic Rigor The work defiantly calls for commitment but if you're down for the challenge it will pay off for you. These are the some of the same classes universities and other schools have to take so passing is recognized as something to be proud of.
Tips for prospective students The environment is full of diversity so there is no feeling of not fitting in, it is easy to get your mission accomplished and their is a support system that can help you achieve and fulfill your desires.
In three sentences Save money while getting requirements for your major out the way. If you are not sure what you want to do yet instead its a great place to discover your interest. Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus Safety depends on each campus. Most of them are mostly safe, and to help, there is ACC police at each campus.
Greek Life There are a few fraternities and sororities.
Clubs and Activities There is some Greek Life, volleyball, sports, and cultural clubs.
Great for these types of students Any student from recent high school graduates, to military veterans, to single moms who want a degree can be a student at Austin Community College.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There aren't really many things out of the ordinary.
Bang for the buck In-district tuition is so much cheaper than out-of-district. Check the appraisal websites for counties to find one eligible for in-district tuition. This could save a lot of money.
What to do for fun Like any other college, there are clubs and organizations that students can join. There are even a few fraternities and sororities.
Food and Dining Each campus is set up differently, but most of them have pretty good student cafes, or have restaurants and other dining located nearby.
Dorm Life There are no dorms for ACC.
Academic Rigor The classes may be smaller, but the work load seems to be the same as many of my friends that went straight into four year universities.
Tips for prospective students Make sure to check all of the registration requirements, or students will not be able to register for classes on time. It is a good idea to register for classes as soon as possible. If not, one could end up with classes that are not at the times you want and professors that don't teach very well.
In three sentences This is a great college for anyone looking to take their core classes first, then plan to transfer into a four year university. Most professors are helpful and some even teach at the University of Texas at Austin. It's like getting the same education as someone at UT, but for thousands of dollars less.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck Not expensive at all, a great way to save money rather than paying double the price for the same classes at a university.
Food and Dining There is Simon's cafe in the campus and around the campus there is a Greek, Vietnamese restaurant, and also a Whataburger very close by.
Dorm Life There are no dorms here.
Academic Rigor ACC's academic rigor is between high school level work and university level schooling. It is a really good transition between the two. A teacher that I had commented that the students actually performed better and worked harder than students from a university that he taught at.
Tips for prospective students Get your books onetime (at least a week before class starts), set up your ACC email and CHECK it, meet your teachers and sit in the front or middle of the class. Don't think that because its a community college there isn't anything going on. If you pay attention there are social activities to help you meet people.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Although I have yet to join any clubs, there are a few different clubs available at ACC. There is nothing particularly fun around campus, though.
Food and Dining I do not eat on campus so I can't really rate this. The options for food on campus seem to be OK. Off campus there are lots of good choices nearby.
Dorm Life This is a Community College, so there are no living options on the actual campus.
Academic Rigor The professors I have had so far are excellent. I feel as though most of my classes are balanced so that they are challenging but at the same time passable. I have given four stars instead of five because one of my current professors is teaching at a level I feel to be too elementary for the class.
Tips for prospective students Apply for financial aid early if you need it in order to receive the maximum amount of grants you qualify for. On that note, get advised and sign up for classes ASAP or you might run into scheduling problems. While singing up for classes be sure to check and see which professors are good - I use www.ratemyprofessors.com for that.
In three sentences Despite the popular belief that community colleges fail to provide their students with a quality education when compared to universities, Austin Community College offers an excellent opportunity for students to receive an education for less. While some professors and regulations may not match the overall quality offered at ACC, the majority of the staff and rules are established in order to appeal to young, first time college students as well as those returning to school in order to continue their education. While at first I was cautious in choosing to attend ACC, I have realized that I made the right chose in attending ACC.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus police do patrol often, however the only time I have actually seen a campus police officer out of the patrol car is when writting a student a park violation ticket. The presence is there, but only in the parking lot. If the campus police where to walk around campus there would be the sense that the campus buildings where also safe.
What to do for fun Join a club. There are several clubs available to students through the student life department, which is run by students. They organize monthly events and post calendars all around the campus so you can easily access the schedule of events.
Food and Dining Each campus location offers limited cafeteria menu as well as standard food dispensing machines, soda, water, candy etc.
Dorm Life Does not apply to this college
Academic Rigor The science courses at Austin Community College are comparable to other local Austin Universities in content. Labs associated with science courses offer well equipped laboratories.
Tips for prospective students If planning to attend this college do not go to advisers during peak admission times. The entire college is under staffed and this is especially true in the advising department. Plan to spend an entire day waiting to see an advisor during peak admission times.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus police are always available. There is an office on each campus if you need help. There are also phones scattered in each parking lot if you ever need help to your car, need to report something unsafe, or need to be walked to your car.
Great for these types of students Anyone looking to continue their education or begin a new career path, ACC is for you.
Bang for the buck Classes are inexpensive. There are ways to make payment plans on campus or online. A full semester at ACC is usually $2000 cheaper than most tuition at other universities.
What to do for fun There is a Student Life program that offers activities at all the ACC campuses. They offer counseling student to student. There are outings posted for all around downtown Austin and the Cedar Park Areas. This includes parades, festivals, movie nights, ect.
Food and Dining There are dining areas on each campus. Mostly snack foods and drinks.
Dorm Life Housing options are not available through ACC. This is a community college.
Academic Rigor ACC has one of the highest transfer rates in Texas. Graduation rates are high as well as passing rates.
Tips for prospective students Apply early. Set up payment plans, when registration opens, get your classes fast. If you are at multiple campuses, budget your time wisely and come to class prepared. Always use professor office hours, they are there to help you. Check your email and blackboard several times a day and keep up with your grades on line.
In three sentences Austin Community College offers a wide variety of classes, instructors, and campuses. I love the atmosphere of the Round Rock and Cypress Creek Campus. I have been able to pay out of pocket for many years at ACC, due to the low cost of tuition.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck Austin Community College cuts all the fluff out and only makes you pay for the academics. The prices can't be beat anywhere and the classes are not lacking because of that. This streamlined approach allows students to take all basic courses and be in very little or no debt.
Food and Dining The Cafe at Austin Community College provides everything from lunch to random snacks to coffee. Whatever you need to keep you fueled through the day, they've got it. In addition, the indoor and outdoor seating for the Cafe is a great place to study and hang out.
Dorm Life Because Austin Community College is so small and academic-focused, they do not provide dorms. Students instead get to experience Austin firsthand by living in nearby apartments.
Academic Rigor Austin Community College is all about helping students who may not have a chance a larger public university. Therefore the academics are suited to that student. However, you can save a TON of money on basics going to this college. If you study hard and keep constant contact with teachers, you are nearly guaranteed a good grade!
Tips for prospective students Counselors, Counselors, Counselors! Whether you think you need one or not, the counselors at Austin Community College will help you discover the your full potential. Make sure to also find out when office hours for each teacher and tutoring sessions for each class take place. In addition, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Most teachers know that students don't do the homework so they take completion grades. However, if you do these assignments the tests will be a breeze.
In three sentences This school provides opportunities to young adults who never thought they would get anywhere in life due to tough circumstances, poverty, or even simply poor grades. I have experienced first-hand Austin Community College's committed staff who will stop to help any student plan for their future. The buildings are accommodating, the staff is devoted, and each student truly feels cared-for.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are campus police that are available at all times.
Greek Life No Greek Life at ACC, but a lot of students work their way into the University of Texas' Greek Life.
Clubs and Activities ACC always has flyers lining the hallways! You can always find things to do! From joining the Honors Program, learning about Study Abroad Opportunities, being involved in the tutoring programs, or finding out what seminars are being held over the week or weekend, ACC always keep their students informed.
Great for these types of students Austin Community College really embodies any type of student! I have the most diverse classes!
Bang for the buck Every teacher makes the classroom personal. You definitely don't feel like a number, or a nameless face!
What to do for fun At the Rio Grande campus, there are a lot of picnic tables where students pass their time out of classes at. Students sometimes bring their guitars, read in the shade or just hang out with one another in their free time.
Food and Dining The Rio Grande campus has a a great Caf© located in the lower level.
Dorm Life There are no dorms.
Academic Rigor I just completed my first semester at Austin Community College feeling challenged by every one of my teachers. And if I was ever confused, each teacher offered Office Hours where I could walk in and discuss any questions or concerns.
Tips for prospective students If you're a prospective student and end up attending ACC, don't walk on campus thinking the classes are jokes and you don't need to study because it is a community college, that mentality will come back to haunt you.
In three sentences Austin Community College is a great choice for students and adults looking for a less expensive alternative to a University. ACC is great for people interested in a two-year degree program, or who may be interested in transferring to a four-year university. The teachers are great (some even teach at the University of Texas), and the databases available to students are extensive.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I spent time on campus preparing to enter college, and originally enrolled for the Pinnacle campus. It seems safety is a high priority.
Great for these types of students The distance learning program is good.
Food and Dining I never ate the food at ACC.
Dorm Life I did not live in a dorm.
Academic Rigor Based on the Sociology, English Composition, and Algebra classes I took, I would say that it is academically challenging, especially for a community college (although I have nothing to compare it to - this is my first year).
Tips for prospective students If you are a distant learner: follow the tips given in orientations. If you are an out of state distance learner -- prior to enrolling in each particular class, be sure to check with each professor to see if they allow proctored testing off campus.
In three sentences ACC seems to have top notch professors. There are some amazing people in the advising department as well. I highly recommend this quality community college, especially for Distance Learning, as I attended.

Dorm Life Austin Community College doesn't have a dorm, although there are many nearby apartments making it easy to become dormers with your collegues.
Tips for prospective students New students should first find out what classes are available here for their majors here before they consider taking the same classes at a university.
In three sentences Austin Community College is a great stepping stone towards your outstanding future career. Many students choose to spend more money going to a university when you can get the same credits and classes for your majors for a lot less here than a university. Austin Community College has many options for your coursework as well, such as study groups and rooms that helps you keep that 4.0 GPA.

What to do for fun There are parks, shopping centers and good recreational centers to hang out outdoors.
Food and Dining There are plenty of restarants to eat in Austin. There is an endless list. My favorite is TGIF
Dorm Life Acc does not have dorms, but in Austin there are alot of nice apartments to live in close by the campus if you wish to.
Academic Rigor The courses for me were somewhat close to that of highschool classes. But they require more critical thinking and are more in depth.
Tips for prospective students Be prepared and on time to class. And communicate with your teachers when you are having problems with the assignments or need tutoring. Participate during class discussions and don't be afraid to speak your mind or ask for help. If you want to suceed you have to prove it to yourself and your teacher.
In three sentences The teachers push students to do their best. Also their out of district campuses make it easy to attend since I don't live in Austin. Also the enviroment is chill for students to hang out.

Great for these types of students Low-income, coming back to school, getting your basics out of the way.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus If you have a soccer class, the field is off campus. It's basically across a forest to get to the field. Instead of driving or walking around the forest, try finding the path through the forest like I did.
Bang for the buck Me, being a low-income student, paying for tuition can get expensive but with ACC's cheaper tuition and the FAFSA/Pell Grant, I've only had to pay about 1/8 of my tuition so far!
What to do for fun They sometimes have events in the courtyard outside the offices. They also host events for students.
Food and Dining The have the Cafe, which serves oriental cuisine, deli food, and also fast food. They also offer snacks and drinks, both with healthy options available. It's also not too expensive.
Academic Rigor I'm about to start my 4th semester of my Web and Interactive Design Associate's degree program, and with about 2-3 years of self-teaching, I went into my web design-esqe classes feeling like they're only teaching the foundations. I feel they could step it up.
Tips for prospective students Don't forget deadlines!!!!! Especially for financial aid. You could be stuck paying 1/4 of your tuition just because you missed the date to turn in your FAFSA.
In three sentences Whether you're trying to get your basics out of the way for a cheaper tuition or you're going for an Associates' degree, ACC is a great choice. They have a very helpful staff in the class and in the offices. ACC is also a viable option for low-income students.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck ACC is definitely the best bang for the buck in the Austin area. Tuition is cheaper. Chances are, the classes you want to take are offered at many different times, on different days, and with a longer or shorter duration. This school offers a cheaper college education with more flexibility than a university.
What to do for fun If you want to get involved with campus activities the Student Life office has all the information about club activities and other ACC sponsored fun. Other than that, there really isn't much fun to be had on campus aside from meeting new people and hanging out with friends. Because ACC has many campuses in different locations, there can be fun things to do in the local area. If this is important to you, do a little research on the campus you want to attend and see what's nearby.
Food and Dining Every ACC campus I've been to has a Simon's Cafe, which is the only place to get real food on campus. Simon's is a bit overpriced, and the food really isn't worth it. The only exception to the Simon's food monopoly I know of is at Riverside campus where you have both Simon's and the Tin Cup Grill. The Tin Cup Grill is absolutely delicious. If having a good place to eat is important to you, I recommend the Rio Grande campus, which is located in downtown Austin. There are several places to get good food within walking distance.
Dorm Life If having the dorm life experience is important to you, then you'll be sorely disappointed at ACC. There are no dorms or any kind of student living quarters.
Academic Rigor All classes at ACC are, on average, much easier than a university. The basic classes most students have to take, like English Composition and College Algebra have universal rubrics and tests that every teacher follows. So, your basic classes will be relatively easier. This isn't to say you can get by not doing anything, but if you are doing the work consistently, you should be able to get good grades.
Tips for prospective students If you live out of the ACC district, be prepared to pay much more than the average student for tuition. But, out of district tuition is still cheaper than a university. Take advantage of all the free extras ACC provides. Every semester you can get a free bus pass. Every campus also offers free tutoring in most subjects. The Student Life offices at every campus also give away freebies and information about clubs, activities and scholarships.
In three sentences ACC is a good place to start your college education in Texas. Class schedules are very flexible and can be made to fit into busy lifestyles. Tuition is much cheaper than a university and the credit you earn at ACC is easily transferable to other Texas colleges.

What to do for fun ACC is constantly doing events and special meetings. Contact the student life offices on any of the campuses.
Food and Dining They have restaurants on all campuses and its typical campus food.
Dorm Life No dorm's on any campuses.
Academic Rigor ACC does not have an easy course schedule. Classes are paced at college level speed and courses are demanding so its best not to fall behind.
