If you enjoy sports you're only about 45 minutes from Lansing or Saginaw which have minor league baseball and hockey teams respectively. Both cities have multiple shopping malls, theaters and restaurants. In Owosso there is a movie theater right down the street from Baker as well as a newly renovated theater for plays. There is a state park about 15 minutes away in Laingsburg that has a lake and bike/walking trails.
