Talk to faculty before deciding to go, make sure they're someone you want to be spending the next four years learning from--what they teach you and what you experience with them will ultimately affect your career. Also talk with other students in the department you're interested in. They can give you their honest opinion on how they've grown from being at BW. But make sure you talk to MULTIPLE students--not everyone will have the same experience and you don't want to be convinced by that one guy who just so happens to think everything is wonderful all the time.
