DON'T SPEND YOUR JACKET MONEY IN THE BEGINNING OF THE SEMESTER! Conserve it so you can eat in the last couple weeks, especially during finals. Stay on the ball with your classes-- don't get behind early, or you will have a hard time catching up by the end. Talk to your teachers frequently; the closer your relationships with them are, the better your grades will be, and the more in-touch you will feel with the school. They will also be more inclined to bump you if you need the extra few percentage points, and will help you out if you need any clarification on a subject.
