Categories Comments Tips for prospective students As I said before, you will gain friends that you will have for lifetime. If you are wanting to become a pastor, or youth pastor, or anything in the ministry, BBC is the place to be. We are located across the street from the BBFI Missions office, which everybody who comes out of BBC has to be a part of a BBF church.
In three sentences BBC is a great school for higher education with a Biblical basis. We are geared for people who are looking to go into the ministry or have a ministry background in a business they are starting. You will get to know wonderful people here that you will consider a friend for life.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Always security walking around campus. Have an alarm system and personal cards to get into the buildings. Also security cameras. Safety is an major priority here.
Clubs and Activities We have a boys basketball team and a girls volleyball team. Students like to rally up and go to the games. We also have Chapel every Tuesday and Thursday and it is a fun time to worship God and hear a great message.
Great for these types of students Desiring to go in an Education major, Missions, or Pastoral. If you want to get a great education while having fun then this is the place for you!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus We have just opened up a coffee shop called the White House. Cool place to hang with friends, do homework, and of course drink coffee.
Bang for the buck Have great relationships with Professors and make awesome friends. BBC has an atmosphere that is warm and inviting. Plus year long ice cream in the car (where you eat meals).
What to do for fun The school has a gym that you can do sports in when open as well as a weight room for exercising. They have a Student center with multiple TVs where you can watch TV, movies, or hook up a gaming device. You are also in Springfield and can venture around.
Food and Dining Lets be honest, it won't compare to your normal home-cooked meals by mom and dad. However, they have many choices for food and a salad bar. They also have a Snack Shop where you can go for breakfast and/or lunch.
Dorm Life It's a lot of fun! You make great friends and do many fun activities together. These are the people you are doing school with so you all connect in that way and find more connections as the year goes on.
Academic Rigor It can be very difficult and trying at times, but we have Professors and people here to help in any way possible.
Tips for prospective students Keep an open mind about coming here. Many students who go here weren't originally planning on going to this school, but they felt led to be here and love it.
In three sentences A school that greatly cares about your academic achievement and where you are spiritually. The college is always striving to make the school a better place. Great place for opportunities and forming relationships to last a lifetime.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are always security guards walking around, especially after curfew.
Clubs and Activities The campus is extremely small so their is not any activities besides choir and band if you enjoy that kind of stuff.
Food and Dining There is plenty of food for you to eat and you can get as many plates as you want with many variety of drinks.
Dorm Life I absolutely love my dorm life. I have amazing friends on my floor and an amazing RA who is always willing to help.
Academic Rigor Some classes may be hard and some may be easy, just don't be afraid to ask for help if you really need it. The professors are there to help you achieve.
Tips for prospective students If you plan on attending BBC make sure to arrive early especially if you want a job because their are 6 plus colleges here in Springfield,so its very hard to find a job if you want one.
In three sentences Baptist Bible College is an amazing school to meet amazing students that love God as much as you do. The teachers are always there for you when you need it the most from being ill to having to go home because you have a funeral or somewhat to go to. They are even willing to listen if you just have a problem.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Students going into fully time ministry or students looking for a good Christian college and getting educated on Biblical values.
What to do for fun On campus many students hang out at the student center, there are a couple of TVs there, a ping pong table, a fuse ball table, and computers that you can use. There is also the gymnasium where you can play basket ball with a group, or go to the weight room to lift some weights. Then there is also the local coffee shop that we just recently opened on campus as well. Springfield is a college town so there is no shortage of things to do around town. There are a few movie theaters, the Battlefield mall, and the square is a popular hang out place in town.
Food and Dining There is a cafe that serves 3 meals a day during the week, a brunch, and dinner on Saturdays, and then just a lunch on Sundays. The food is much better than what I was used to eating during high school, and you have freedom to choose what you want to eat, but it's still not all that great. It's always much better during a special event such as college days.
Dorm Life Dorm life is alright. There are separate dorm buildings for the men and women, so I couldn't really tell you what dorm life is like for women. As for men though, there are 2 dorm buildings, Smith and Harper. Smith is usually more quiet than Harper, but it really depends on who is on your floor. There is no air conditioning in the men's dorms, so summers can be pretty brutal. Bring a box fan! The heat is controlled by one person on each floor so a space heater always helps too!
Academic Rigor The professors really know what they are talking about! You can expect genuine college level classes for both your general education classes and your biblical classes. They know their Bible and care about your relationship with Christ. There is a pretty small student/teacher ratio, so if you ever need help in classes the teachers are almost always available. There are also study groups for certain classes.
Tips for prospective students Best way to see what BBC is all about, is to come for our college days! You stay with students in their dorms for a couple of days, check out some of the classes during the day, and eat at the cafe. Plus there are activities in the evening.
In three sentences BBC is a small college, but has big ambitions. The students here are on fire for God, and the teachers are passionate about helping you with your relationship with God. It's a great place to go if you are looking to go into full time ministry or even looking at a secular degree such as nursing, business, or elementary education and want to be taught on Biblical values.
