Great for these types of students

BUA is great for students seeking theology, business, leadership, missions, or cross cultural studies.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Every Tuesday and Thursdays we meet for chapel, its were we worship together and find out current events that are going on campus.

    Bang for the buck

Its been hard looking for a job

    What to do for fun

We have a student center near our dorm were students get together and sing or play there instruments.

    Food and Dining

It could be better. I'm vegetarian

    Dorm Life

Dorm life is wonderful, we have a full kitchen will a full bathroom. Our rooms are big, either you can have your own room or share a room. Each room has a walk in closet, desk. Our apartment dorm has free Internet and cable. The dorm complex is a christian closed community. I would rate it 4 stars, only because we had an issue with spiders, however it has been taken care off.

    Academic Rigor

The Baptist University of the Americas has a wonderful theology program with small classes that allow you to work and know your professor's better.

    Tips for prospective students

    1. Set guidlines for your self it is easy to get carried away in other things rather than focusing on your studies. 2. Try not to buy your books at the book store try to get them on amazon or half price book store you will find them a lot cheaper. 3. Time, make sure you manage it right, with your studies, social life, and sleep to much sleep or very little can be bad for you.

    In three sentences

Its a great place to be, that offers and education with a christian back ground. The classes are small, so it allows you to have a one on one relationship with the teachers. Over all everyone is friendly and is willing to help someone in need.

The school has an eletronic gate with a code so that not anyone can get it, either with car or walking.

    Clubs and Activities

They have different clubs, clubs that make movies, clubs that do social work, soccer, prayer, etc

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

BUA has different diversities and there is a day where we all meet to make a party and people form different countries share some food from their country and there's music, games, etc.

    What to do for fun

We have the riverwalk like 15 min away from the school, so its a fun place to go. We have different restaurants close to the school that you can go walking, like chick-fil-a, Ihop, Mama margies, Oliver garden and others. There is also the mall and HEB and Walmart really close.

    Food and Dining

They have a good cook, and they always give you dessert which is a plus. I really like that they always have a salad bar whatever the meal is, because that helps you to eat all the minerals and nutrients we need.

    Dorm Life

the dorms are great because they aren't the regular college dorms, they are apartments that have a kitchen and a living room, which gives you a little preview of what its like to live on your own.

    Academic Rigor

BUA has good teachers that strech the students mind to think outside the box.

    Tips for prospective students

Be open to do any activity, take advantage of the get togethers organized by the university, the student council or even from your own dorm.

It's a really great place. I transferred to another university for one semester and it didn't feel like home, like BUA and that's the reason I'm going back this semester. The students and the stuff make the university a great place to be at. I would recommend this college for people who embrace different diversities and want to feel at home even though their houses are miles or seas apart.
