Around Town

Bellarmine may not have events happening all the time, but there are events for everyone. One of my favorite events is attending recitals, convocations, or ensemble performances. When the semester is getting closer to an end, there are recitals almost every day, and I have yet to be dissatisfied with one after two years.

Bellarmine is located in the highlands of Louisville. It is a safe neighborhood and has a historic feel to it but has a lot of urbanized area close by.

Besides for going and supporting Bellarmine at a sports game, exploring downtown Louisville and Bardstown road are fun options.

Bellarmine has a club and activities for everyone who attends. And if their isn't a club for you, you can always find a group of people you fall in with and make a club, or just hang out.

Bellarmine always has something fun going on. Twice this semester they did late night bingo, they have Knights Nation for basketball games, there are exercise opportunities at the SuRF (gym), and it's in a great location right next to Bardstown road which is ALWAYS a fun place to visit.

There is Cherokee Park within walking distance, and Joe Creason Park as well. the Louisville Zoo is also within walking distance, and so is Bardstown road. Everything is close enough that even with a drive, downtown is only 5 minutes away. So much to do, weather it be running a marathon, or night life on Bardstown, there is a great local area that has so much to offer.

There is always something going on on campus. I suggest getting involved in the activities that are offered. It is a great chance to meet and make new friends. There is also Bardstown Road, a fun and hip part of town so close to campus.

Study hard and exiting courses or/and join one of the 10,000 clubs and activities available at this school.

During free time on Tuesdays and Thursdays there are usually some fun events/activities planned. Bardstown road is very close and there are some cool restaurants that are terrific. Student government plans fun events such as concerts, a campus carnival, trips to Muhammad Ali center, service trips, and much more. It is also fun to Frisbee with some friends in the quad!
