The only bad thing is you can not take the advisers advice, You will most likely have to look into it your self. Also parking is a pain, you will be late to class the first week.

Live in a dorm because the campus is so small that you do not have to drive to class. Apply for Endowed Scholarships. Get involved with clubs and organizations, such as band, Phi Theta Kappa or intramural sports.
