Categories Comments Great for these types of students Blue Mountain College is a great college for anyone who is seeking to grow in Christ and gain more fellowship with others. The Bible program at this school is incredible. Blue Mountain College is also good for the students who want to learn as much as they can without having to travel far away or go to a huge state college.
Tips for prospective students Being a freshmen, I wished someone had given me a few tips, so I will gladly give other people tips. My first tip would to be not afraid to talk to other people. Everyone there is very friendly and willing to help, so if you have a question go ahead and ask. The teachers are also willing to help, all the student has to do is show up to class and pay attention. Taking notes, asking questions, turning in assignments on time will all help you to get on a teachers good side in order to get more help with the subject. My last tip would be to go to the CAL. The CAL is the center of advancement learning. It is completely free and allows the use of computers and tutors for almost every subject. This is an extreme help for all freshmen.
Bang for the buck For being a private Christian college, Blue Mountain is pretty cheap and easy to pay for. There are a number of different scholarships, grants, and loans each student can take out. With a few visits to the Office of Financial Aid, each student will be able to find the best way for them to be able to pay for their semesters.
Am enjoying being here In the town of Blue Mountain, there honestly is not a lot of places to go or things to do. Luckily, Blue Mountain College itself has such a beautiful campus that most people stay outside and enjoy the sun and scenery. There are moments when people do get sick of the campus and want to leave, when this occurs people are able to drive to Ripley, New Albany, and Tupelo for many different places to go to. One of my favorite things about Blue Mountain College is that it is smaller than most schools. It actually gives people a better chances of making more friends. Making friends is not hard to do at all here at Blue Mountain. Ask anyone on the campus and they will tell you just how friendly everyone is to each other. There are so many other great qualities of Blue Mountain College, all of which can be noticed during a visit to the school.
Am learning a lot Having only been attending Blue Mountain College for one year, it is difficult to fully explain their academics programs; but I can say that there was a quite noticeable change in what I learned in high school from what I learned in college. Not only did I grow in my knowledge, specifically in Biology, but I grew drastically in my relationship with Christ. Going to BMC, I realized that I did not know everything there was to know about God, and I was not as close with Him as I thought I was. I cannot explain the happiness I got from growing in Christ and my knowledge. I always prided myself on the facts I knew about Biology, and now I see that there is so much more to learn.

Tips for prospective students Go in with a good attitude and study hard. When you graduate from BMC, you've graduated from one of the best!
Bang for the buck This is a private college and therefore a tad bit more expensive. However, prices aren't outrageous and the college works with you on when and how you pay.
Am enjoying being here Although, there isn't much to do in the actual town of Blue Mountain, I've befriended many people and have had a great time.
Am learning a lot This college is a great small college with a Christian atmosphere. Small classroom sizes and a great education program make this college outstanding.

Categories Comments Campus Safety This is the best part about being located in a small town. I have always felt safe on campus, matter what time of day. They are also there if you ever lock your keys in your car!
Great for these types of students BmC is known for their education and ministry programs so it is ideal for students going into these professions. However our college is growing so several other majors are offered.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Instead of having Greek life, BMC has socitirs for men and women. Each society comes with their own traditions and history. All students, commuters and residents are given the opportunity to choose the society of their choice.
Bang for the buck You're getting a great education and resume builder for slightly more than you would at Coleman Miss. I definitely think it is well worth the cost of tuition.
What to do for fun Blue Mountain is a small town so most things shut down by 9. However, the school is really good about providing activities for students on and off campus. There are also several places to hang out ob campus.
Food and Dining The food on campus is something to be desired, however, the dining hall is a great place to spend tine with friends and catch up. It also generally a place for good spontaneous entertainment from other students.
Dorm Life Living on campus was a great experience for me. Although everyone is pretty genuine, BMC did a great job of placing me with a roommate that I got along well with and am still friends with today. The dorms are cozy and provide students with a good home away from home feeling.
Academic Rigor The classes are challenging but well worth it. I am in the elementary education program and I am confident that I will be provided with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a great teacher. I am also aware that an education degree from Blue Mountain looks excellent on a resume.
Tips for prospective students Since Blue Mountain is considerably smaller than most colleges the teachers have an opportunity to get to know you as a person and not simply as a number so I highly recommend that you attend class regularly. Communication with professors is also important because most are more than happy to help you out.
In three sentences Blue Mountain is an excellent school for students looking for small classes and professors that take an interest in their students. The location, set in a small town, is a perfect spot away from distractions, unlike larger colleges in the area. The campus is beautiful and historic, yet provides all of the academic needs of a student in 2012.

Great for these types of students This college is great for student seeking to grow spiritually in Christ as well as intellectually.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Each new president plants a tree on campus in honor of themselves.
Bang for the buck Blue Mountain College is such a wonderful college because all of the faculty truly want to invest in each students life. They want to see everyone succeed. This college has a desire to see students also grow closer to The Lord which is fantastic!
What to do for fun Most students entertain themselves at Blue Mountain. There is a disk golf course now. The new president is doing a lot of new activities with students.
Food and Dining The cafeteria is great most of the time. The ladies that fix the food work very hard in giving us great food. They have a decent variety.
Dorm Life The dorm life is great! There is rarely anything crazy that goes on. It involves good clean fun for the most part.
Academic Rigor This college focuses mainly on academics. The faculty go out of their way to help each student successfully achieve their degrees. They want to help each student learn.
Tips for prospective students This is a great college to attend. Be prepared to learn a lot both intellectually and Biblically.
In three sentences Blue Mountain College is a very well respected college. It is Christ-like and classy. I love this college.
