    Get all your stuff in on time, and show up to class, and there's no problems.
    Am learning a lot

    The classes are here are great. The professor's are very friendly and love to help there students. Plus, you live in the City of Trees, Boise is a great little college town, especially during the football season.

    If you want to be in a college setting that's very comfortable, spirited Boise State is the university for you. With the back drop of the Boise Mountains, parks nearby, Boise night life, Boise River, beautiful campus and city.
    Tips for prospective students

    Don't put to much on your plate the first semester 12-15 credits max. Keep your schedule with you the first two weeks. If possible go to CareerFair, get a job on or close to campus. go to orientation!

    Get in the book store early and you can get used textbooks.

    Very much. It's close to my family, a beautiful community and campus. Everyone is very helpful.
    Am learning a lot

    I am entering my second year here at BSU. Yes, I have learned a lot. Things that didn't stick in high school are definitely sticking here (Biology). There are thousands of majors and classes to choose from; just take your pick. There is something here for everyone; either new students or returning students.

    Great for these types of students

    -Outdoor people. For those of you who love the outdoors and activities such as mountain biking, cycling, hiking, skiing, swimming, rafting, boating, and anything else, the city of Boise and Boise State is the place for you. You have nearly all of this within half an hour, and even MORE within just one or two hours. A weekend trip to Stanley, Idaho can be one of the greatest trips of your life, check it out! Shopper lovers. If you love shopping, Boise State is the place for you. With BODO within 5 minutes of walking distance from campus, you can check out all the new stores and restaurants such as North Face, Paradigm, Helly Hanson, Urban Outfitters, and much more. If this isn't enough for you, go ten minutes down I-184 and visit the Boise Towne Square Mall. There, Macy's, JC Penny, Hollister, American Eagle, Buckle, and much much MUCH more await you. Art and history people. Boise is full of art and history. BAM, the Boise Art Museum, is located right across the Boise River, and features first class art that is always exciting and unique. The Idaho Museum, Old Idaho Penitentiary are some exciting features that you must check out!
    Tips for prospective students

    -Get your free bus sticker. Being a Boise State student, you can get your free bus sticker which allows you to ride ValleyRide all across the valley for free! This means you don't even need a car to get around! -Don't be afraid to attend tutoring sessions or ask for help. Being a new college student, things seem overwhelming at first and you may be weary of asking for help. Don't be. Everyone goes through it, and everyone needs help at some time. Ask for some help. -To succeed in class; form a study group. They are powerful. Together, your minds can solve what seems to be anything. Reserve a study room in the ILC and you can have peace and quiet as your group reviews lectures, completes homework, and studies for tests. -Carry your student ID with you at ALL times! Wherever you go, it seems like Boise State students get discounts all the time. So, just carry it with you, especially if your riding the bus :)

    For the price of school these days, you can't go wrong with Boise State University!! It's everything and more that a student can ask for. With everything mentioned above, can you find all of the at any other university? Chances are no. Boise State is relatively cheap when it comes to costs.
    Am enjoying being here

    Being a sophomore at Boise State, if I could sum up my experience so far in one word; INCREDIBLE! The campus life at Boise State is far more than any other campus that I looked at when applying for college upon graduating high school. It seems there is constantly something going on at campus, whether its inter mural sports like football, soccer, etc or the movies in the sub on the weekends. Also, if you love football, you HAVE to attend a football game to understand what BSU football is all about. The energy is intense on game day, not only on campus, but the entire Treasure valley. Also, being located within minutes of downtown Boise, you have the Boise River for floating and fishing (which flows right through campus), you have skiing at Bogus Basin, mountain biking and hiking in the foothills, and much much more all within less than thirty minutes!! What else could a college student ask for?! The people are extremely friendly here in Boise, and it is extremely safe! The campus is gorgeous, especially in the fall, when the leaves are changing. The facilities are fantastic, and the rec center is a great place to work out and hang out with friends. Also, check out the new swimming pool!
    Am learning a lot

    Boise State education is some of the best that you can get in the state of Idaho. With the student to teacher ratio being around 1:19, you can always find the help that you need when it comes to the academics. Every year, BSU is improving the facilities to improve the academics. The professors for the most part are extremely helpful and friendly, and care about the education that you are getting. You can always find help, whether its asking another student, attending tutor sessions, or meeting with the professors.

    Students looking for a sense of community in their university will love Boise State. Students focused on academics would be great with the Honors College program. Student athletes are always welcomed with open arms. Students with an undecided major have plenty of options to decide at Boise. Students wanting to get involved with student leadership also have plenty of opportunities.
    Tips for prospective students

    --Take your student ID everywhere you go, especially off-campus. You WILL get discounts. --Visit the campus on a gameday (football). Even if you aren't interested in sports, you will love the energy level. --Live on campus if you can, even if you already live close enough to commute. The experience is worth the extra money. --Start volunteering in the community right away. There are plenty of places right downtown, within walking distance. --Take a UNIV course your first or second semester. It will really help prepare you for the differences between college and high school. --Try to experience everything (legal) before you rule it out.
    Bang for the buck

    For in-state students, Boise State is an incredible value. Boise State was ranked as a top up and coming institution by U.S. News and World Report. For me, this means that prestige is rising, but so far tuition is not. Boise State had the lowest tuition increase in the northwest following the recession. For in-state students it is a bit costlier but still worth every penny. Boise State provides a quality education along with a great community. The entire Treasure Valley area supports Boise State and its students, and that is more valuable than one could imagine.
    Am enjoying being here

    The university itself always has something going on. Student Programs Board shows movies on a weekly basis, brings in comedians, and other shows. Concerts by students and well-known bands are common on campus. University-wide volunteer events are planned by the Volunteer Services Board, outdoor adventures are offered by the Outdoor Programs, and opportunities for student involvement are everywhere on campus. Also, Boise State is in the middle of the city of Boise, right along the Boise River. Downtown Boise is just a walk in the park away (literally) and there are always entertainment shows, cultural events and more. When the weather is nice, the river and the park are full of students. Mountains, rivers, hot springs and ski slopes within 1 or 2 hours surround Boise with plenty to do beyond the university.
    Am learning a lot

    Boise State lecture halls are smaller than those at most other public universities. Class sizes are small and this provides for a better learning environment where you can get to know your professors and feel more comfortable asking questions. EVERY professor I have had offers office hours and sincerely encourages students to visit-making it easy to get questions answered and even get one-on-one help with assignments. Professors genuinely care about the success of their students and if you want to learn, then you WILL learn at Boise State.

    Students who want to learn, want to be close to home, the mountains, and many other outdoor activities.
    Tips for prospective students

    Study, study, study...and join as many clubs and organizations as possible (many of which won't take up much of your time). Get to know your professors! Take your time in completing your degree, take only one or two summer classes and no more than four classes during the regular semesters...otherwise you will not do well, especially if you work 25+ hours per week. Also - CJ majors...take Dr. Hemmen's Law in the Movies / Law in the Media course in the summer. It's a relaxing, easy (if you attend every class period) summer course in which you watch movies and have a short lecture afterwards. It's a simple course that puts your degree in perspective! It is also offered to non-criminal justice majors, which may be a little more difficult to complete, but Dr. Hemmens does a really great job at keeping the subject simple :-)

    Of course we can all agree that college is expensive...but BSU State is well worth it if you decide to enroll in the criminal justice program. On the other hand...I was fairly disappointed with the psychology program. If you are looking for easy A's, without actually learning anything...then here is your perfect degree. I felt like I really wasted my money on those classes.

    Great environment, small campus, close to downtown, food, right next to the Boise river, and a great park behind the school to study or take a break!
    Did learn a lot

    Prior to transferring to another school, I completed most of my undergraduate education here. I was enrolled in the criminal justice program and LOVED the professors! I learned so much more from them than I am at my current university. Be sure to take as many classes from Dr. Giacomazzi, Dr. Walsh, and Dr. Hopfenbeck as you can. These prof.'s to me were the most difficult, but you will definitely remember the material and what you learn from these prof.'s is invaluable!!!

    They have some good programs and classes, but people don't seem to care about that very much. This school is all about the football team. If you like football, you'll like this college.
    Tips for prospective students

    If you have questions, contact the school. They are usually pretty good about replying to emails, and they have helped me when I've had questions.
    Bang for the buck

    I had a 3.8 GPA, took several AP courses, volunteered, was involved with clubs and school events in high school, and BSU offered me very little financial aid. Other schools I applied to gave me a lot better scholarships, so I was a bit dissapointed with the amount they offered me. However, I love living in Boise, which is one of the main reasons I stayed here rather than going away after high school.
    Am enjoying being here

    I live off campus with my parents because I can't afford the dorms. I haven't met very many peopleon campus, and I haven't made a whole lot of friends, so I don't spend time on campus unless I absolutely have to be there. On football game days, I avoid campus altogether because the tailgaters are rude and obnoxious. They are loud, and conceited, and it's definitely not my scene. Also, it was hard to get into classes. They fill up very quickly, and I couldn't get into some of the classes I needed to take this semester. This was frustrating, and I'm just really hoping that I can get into these classes next semester.
    Am learning a lot

    I am halfway through my first semester at BSU, and so far I am enjoying my classes, and learning a lot. I took several AP classes in high school, so the work load is about what I am used to, and the classes aren't too difficult.

    Campus Safety

    It is very safe on our campus. I walk across the campus at night when it is very dark and there are nobody outside but I feel safe by having lots of street lights all over the campus. Also, there is a security phone all over the campus which you can call the security office and ask them to walk with you whenever you feel scary. I think it is very nice to have one of those that students feel secured although not everyone use the security phone.
    Clubs and Activities

    Boise State University has an active clubs and activities. For example, the one that I am involved in is from the Student Diversity Center which is pretty much a club where international students meet once a week and have a conversation about our school life as we have some treats and coffee. It is very nice and relaxing to have a conversation once a week.
    Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

    It is hard to find an unusual traditions on our campus because I have never experienced any other campus, however, I realized that lots of people write opportunities to get involved in different activities on campus, on the ground all over the campus with chalks. Sometimes, they add pictures to it to get extra attention and it is so much fun to read those advertisements to find a good one that interests me.
    What to do for fun

    There are tons of activities to do around the campus. For example, there is a movie night on Thursdays every once in a while. Also our school is very active in sports. We have lots of games that are free for the students. Football is a great part of our school and tons of students go to the game during the football season.
    Food and Dining

    For us, living on campus, we have dining hall in the student union building for our meals. There are basic options everyday such as salad, pizza, sandwich, and hamburger. Also, there are special meals every day which is always different. The quality of the food is pretty good. Vegetables and fruits are always very fresh and neat.
    Dorm Life

    I love my dorm life as well as my school life. I am not around my room that often during weekdays because I spend most of my time at the library or practice room, however, I usually stay in my bed on the weekends and it feels like my home. Especially my building is very socialized and there are tons of activities every week. I love it so much!
    Academic Rigor

    As a music major, it is a bit tough to practice for several hours everyday on top of my other school works. However, it is my decision to major in music, which I love so that I enjoy my life here in college with all of my homework and practice.
    Tips for prospective students

    It is just to keep up all of our school work, turning assignments in on time. It is very helpful for us to get involved in activities to be socialized which lead us to enjoy our school life.

    Boise State University is a beautiful school. It is very socialized with tons of campus activities such as sports. I enjoy going to school here as well as living in the dorm on campus.

    Boise State is a great place for students who enjoy the growing metropolitan area that Boise is. As I stated above, there are a lot of outdoor activities that the Boise area has to offer.
    Tips for prospective students

    Some of the best tips that I can give prospective students would be to be proactive. Take the time to get your studies out of the way first and have fun for yourself later. Times are hard and people are looking for the best of the best for careers. Anymore a C+ average is not good enough for a lot of places. It is very important to have fun while you are in college, but do not let the fun get carried away. Stay on top of your grades and give it your all cause if you do it will pay off. Students should also be prepared to start being social. There are a ton of different activities that BSU has for their students and it is always fun to participate in those events.

    I grew up in Idaho, and because of that I have a lot of friends I know who went to other universities because they knew that they could go to college for cheaper. I do not think that Boise State is an expensive school, my most expensive semester was only around $3,000, but I have heard a lot about a degree from BSU being less accredited than other schools. Certain degrees are really established here, such as the nursing program and our engineering program, and for those students who are interested in those programs, then your in luck.

    One thing that I know for a fact is that the Boise area is one of my favorites. It seems that everyone is always in a decent mood at least. If you smile at someone, you will get a smile back. If you have your hands full with books or anything else that a college student could get tangled up with, you know that there will be someone there to open a door for you. If you are not much for cold weather however, I recommend searching elsewhere. Boise, and Idaho for that matter, has only two seasons: Winter and Summer. There is not much of an in between. Fortunaetly if you are an outdoorsy type of a person than the Idaho area is perfect for you. Not only do we have a few amazing ski and snowboarding resorts, there is also the world famous rapids that our rivers have to offer. There are also amazing hiking areas and biking routes. Boise State University also makes sure that the students have offers annually for different types of trips to do different outdoor activities for cheap.
    Am learning a lot

    One thing that I have learned about BSU is that there is a vast cornucopia of people there. In my first year I became friends with a vegan political master, a mom of three with the ambition of becoming a psychologist, and a young lady who knows more trivia about movies and music than I could ever begin to comprehend. What I am really starting to enjoy about Boise State is that I am learning just as much from the teachers as I am from my fellow students.

    Although I am from Idaho and am therefore paying in-state tuition, I've seen the statistics and BSU has low out-of-state tuition as well. The university is also generous with its merit-based scholarships.
    Am enjoying being here

    If you are a football fan, I can imagine your experience at BSU would be much more pleasant than mine has been. If you're living on campus, I wouldn't suggest planning to do homework or nap during the time any BSU game is being broadcast on TV. It might get a little loud. That said, there are other activities to be found at BSU. The party scene is fairly quiet, since it is such a largely non-traditional school, but it does exist somewhat. BSU students get free admission to the nearby Boise Art Museum, and there are often concerts and other events on campus. The city of Boise itself has a beautiful view of the mountains and is full of nice people. It doesn't get too cold during the winter, and is very clean and safe as far as larger cities go. The only problems with Boise are that it is a little bit small, and might be too conservative for some people's taste.
    Am learning a lot

    The majority of my professors here are intelligent, experienced and care about the education the students are getting. For example, my Art History 101 professor, who was an architect and was always teaching us about her experiences with the subject matter. However, a few of the professors I've had so far are rather uninvolved and inaccessible. I would suggest getting as much information on a professor as you can before enrolling in his/her class. It's also important here, as at any school, to take the initiative to meet and talk to your professors. I was afraid of failing my Math 124 final until I went to my professor's office hours. As it turned out, a few other students were in the professor's office with the same concerns, and the professor explained a lot to all of us. I wound up getting an A on the final! If you're like me and learn better in groups, it's easy (and suggested) to form study groups with other students in your classes.

    What's so great about this college is that it has a little bit of something for everybody. I would recommend this university for anyone who wants it.
    Tips for prospective students

    I would definitely check out the major you want to go into first. While my department is great, this school definitely has its strength's and weaknesses as far a majors are concerned. I would also look into Boise, just to make sure if you would be happy here.

    The instate tuition is very reasonable. Don't get me wrong, paying for college is still ridiculously difficult, but this school is still priced reasonably enough that it doesn't suck out you entire soul, just most of it.

    This school have so many things to offer to students. There is always something offered that is available. There is something for everyone here.

    The classes are set well at this university. It was so easy to arrange my schedule the way I wanted it. I am taking the classes I want and am learning so much. The professors are very prepared.

    Make sure you do all of your work and have a good attitude about it. Also, make sure you make some friends so you can take a break even for a few hours during the weekend to spend time with them.

    Students that love sports, students that love furthering their education, and students that love living in a decent sized city. Boise State University seems like it'd be a great school for anyone who likes those one of or all of those three things.

    I think Boise State would be great for your to choose if you keep your grades up, your goals in mind, and try to understand what going to college will do for you.

    I'm not really sure. I'm one of the students who comes out of a family that never went to college, and does not have the money for it. I'm going to take out loans after I go through any scholarships and financial aid I can receive, so I will make the best out of what I pay for.
    Will enjoy being here

    I'm going to be living in the dorms, the cheapest ones at that. I wish I could afford better living conditions, (a better dorm) but my education comes first! I will enjoy the environment, as I hear it's positive in many ways.
    Will learn a lot

    I've heard so much about Boise State, and I'm glad to be attending in the fall. Many past students, and current students tell me they love the material they get, and love learning what they're passionate about. I can't wait!

    BSU is great for Students coming from out of state. The college is welcoming and there are many ways to get involved and meet others so you know you wont be lonely. It has all the perks of a small school while offering the degree opportunities of a large university. Environmentally Conscious Students: Everything you apply for has to be applied for Online. No Tree killers in the City of Trees. LOL

    Tour the Campus and talk to the people there. It should be easy to tell if this is the place for you.

    Boise State offers a TON of scholarships. Being an Out-of-state Student I sadly am not eligible for most of them. They do offer the WUE scholarship for western state students and the GEM scholarship for students coming out of the other side of the US. Both of these scholarships bring down the tuition so that the incoming student will pay in-state tuition. After receiving one of these scholarships (the GEM in my case) Boise State cost just as much as any other good University in the US. BSU Tuition for out of state students was actually cheaper than going to one of the big universities in Texas as an Instate Student!
    Will enjoy being here

    I grew up in a tiny rural town in Texas and have been looking forward to living in the city were events are close by. I know I will enjoy the boise campus because while being located in a large city (30 miles wide) it still holds the great characteristics of a small school. Everyone on the campus was friendly and helpful during my Orientation (June 9th and 10th 2011). It felt like a place I could grow and learn happily. Even my parents fears were resolved during orientation.

    Fall of 2011 will be my first year in college so I'm bound to learn a lot.

    The more BSU wins the big game ex. Tostitos Super Bowl/Maaco Bowl the more expensive it gets. Not just that, a lot more people are trying to get in to go there. So its tough competition and expensive.

    Sorta, I'm from a small town. Go to a big city was scary. If you are a BIG BSU fan this is a great atmosphere if not, then you are doing something different. There is a lot to do if your in a sorority or fraternity. I guess.

    I'm learning for certain teachers...so you got to know how you learn the best and understand that a lot of teachers here are or are do not teach the way you think you will learn.

    Choose everything you do for YOU! IF your not in school for you your not there for the right reason. It's a time for you to relax. So study what you love but get involved with things your interested in as much as you can! Oh, and enjoy football season :)

    For the quality of your education Boise State is extremely low cost. There are also so many discounts and free things just offered for BSU Students. Pretty much anywhere you go in Boise you can flash your student ID and get a discount.

    I love being a student of BSU. BRONCOS! BRONCOS! BRONCOS! The campus is beautiful and always full of things to go do. The ASBSU (Associated Students of BSU) team always have things going on for new students and made it so easy to meet new people my first two years here. But even the city is bursting with activity and beauty! Boise State is in the heart of Idaho's capital city, but nature is still all over. (Deer are often spotted along the river running through campus or eating the bushes outside the library Haha!)

    I've taken classes in every subject you can imagine and learned a lot from all of them. That's the cool thing about college, you can pick whatever classes you want, and you get to learn the way you learn best. So much freedom! Boise State professors are all really great about understanding this.

    the tuition rise in 2010 caused me to stop attending. The other problem with this is that many paper test where canceled and the online testing doesn't have enough space or accommodations for working or busy students.The test available are rarely available during your usually meeting times

    The students are great and there is a large amount of groups to join to any of your interest. I did not enjoy my living on campus experiences but the housing and community around the school is exceptional.

    I loved going to Boise state. I is a progressive school with a lot to grow in academics. As you reach jr, and Sr. status it is often hard to get into the classes you need to graduate due to staff cuts in the last 3 years.

    Boise State University is great for students who want learn as well as enjoy at the same time. If you have creative ideas but think they are not worthy, think again. At Boise State University, everyone has the opportunity to express their ideas and views. In my engineering lab class, my fellow students come up with wild ideas which when implemented gave fruitful results. This university is great for Athletes. You have the opportunity to get into activities like Football and other filed events. If you are musician, we have the Morrison Center of Art where you can learn to play different instruments. I would say there is opportunity for everyone. If in doubt, don't forget to contact staffs. They will reply you quickly.
    Tips for prospective students

    Do your best in your high school. With good score from your high school, you can get the GEM scholarship which is about $5200 per semester. Also, if you have good SAT or ACT scores, then you can get into higher classes which means you can graduate early. For example, one of my freshmen friend is taking Calculus III, where as most of us are taking Calculus I. With good scores, you can register for classes early. Remember, classes get filled up soon. Always check you email and the bronco website for updates.

    Boise State University is one to the cheapest college that I have found. With several scholarships like GEM and on-campus job opportunities, students don't have hard time with finance. Students can get employed at the Recreation Center, The Arbiter (newspaper), Game Center, Transportation and Parking and several other areas. If you do good in you studies, then you can get several departmental scholarships too.
    Am enjoying being here

    Boise State s a small city and not as busy and complex as other cities in the US. Boise State University lies a perfect location surrounded by hills where you can go skiing during winder or go trekking during summer. This place is absolutely easy to get mingled in. At Boise State University you have all sort of activities to have fun and get together with friends. Very often, I goto the Student Recreation Center for playing Basketball, Ping Pong, Volleyball and Swimming. At the Student Union Building, we have 10 Pool boards and Bowling alley. These are some great places where you can make friends. During summer time, we enjoy rafting in the Boise river. We have several organizations where every student can find their thing of interest such as RJ, musician, soccer player etc. One of the biggest event is the Football. We have a big Football stadium here at Boise State University and during a game day every one is excited to goto the field. Tickets are free for students. Those without the ticket come out of their house, put on tents, have tailgate and watch the game on TV. Boise State University is a fun place to be!
    Am learning a lot

    Boise State University has varieties of courses available for degree. Any major that you choose is highly focused from the very beginning of the semester. Students very often get emails from several clubs and organizations within the college about upcoming special events and availability of Internships. Classes are very interactive and so far every professors that I have come across are excellent in their way of teaching. In case if there is any difficulties in study, students can schedule appointments with professor or goto the Albertson Library or goto computer labs for further detailed knowledge.

    i believe that the campus is very safe. there are emergency call stations placed throughout the campus as well as on the greenbelt that is on the backside of the campus. security also patrols, and emails are sent out to all of the students if there are wild animals or predators on campus to warn them as well.

    there aren't very many sororities or fraternities here although people do still participate in them. the don't have their own houses to live in so they only gather and get together on their own. they do have parties, but i would say that their main interests are something other than only partying.

    i feel like there are many clubs and activities that you can join here at boise state. in particular, there are many athletic and outdoor programs to participate in. there are always signs around campus and current events written on the side walk in chalk to keep them updated.

    i wouldn't say that there are any unusual locations on campus. in fact, i find that the best places are not on campus but instead off, and downtown like for instance certain cafes.

    flex dollars come with your meal plan and i find them more useful than the actual meals themselves. you can use them at the food places on campus not just the cafeterria. since it is part of your meal plan you don't use cash or anything, just your card, and it is accepted at subway, einstein bros, starbucks, and more.

    there are plenty of activities do to around town and on campus if you like the outdoors. you can join the outdoor program on campus which is amazing! or you can simply explore the trails, lakes, and bogus basin on your own. of course there are parties on the weekends and the bars downtown if you are 21!

    the brc actually has quite delicious food for being a cafeteria and making food in bulk. also on campus is starbucks, subway, einstein bros, and other food places in the ilc. very good however i wish that the places would all be open later and not close so early as well as actually be open on the weekends.

    of course dorm life depends on which building you get placed in. chaffee is definently the party dorm i would say. most freshman going out every weekend looking for a good time. towers is placed very far away from everything else but then again it comes with its bonuses because you have a larger room, your own shower and toilet, as well the long walks that keep you in shape!
    Academic Rigor

    each class is independent to each other, but there are many hard classes here on campus. if you need extra help, boise state has made it very accessible and helpful for passing these hard classes. the math tutoring center, writing center, and t/a's are very helpful in every class. you should make use of these resources to the most of your ability.

    attend all of the football games! they are so much fun and always entertaining! the student section is always going crazy and you find yourself in a very exciting and intense environment! also use you flex dollars on your meal plan!

    not only is the school amazing, but the city is very awesome as well. it is large, but gives a very homey and safe feeling as you stroll around downtown and off of campus. bogus basin is very close for those who are mountain junkies, and there are lots of trails to bike on. it is a very outdoorsy town and makes you want to get out and do a bunch of stuff. the school most definitely adds to this atmosphere and is most likely the heart of it.

    though not as affordable as cwi, bsu offers a more diverse course listing and a greater opportunity to gain valuable contacts within your chosen field. the added cost is also offset by all of the nearby affordable housing and recreation compared to what is basically sprawl over at cwi in nampa.

Not to mention, Boise has hundreds of clubs available to join.

    Food on campus is good. The only problem is that it gets old. I would suggest getting meal plan number three, because it allows that most flex dollars to go along with your meals. These are nice because you can use them at supporting restaurants.

    Dorm life - THE BEST! When it comes to which ones to live in, it really depends on your personality. If you plan on spending a lot of time studying, I would live in Keiser or Taylor because you can have your own study space and it is A LOT quiter. If you plan on socializing a lot your freshman year the I would suggest you live in Chaffee or Towers. The only downside to towers is that it is the furthest away.
    Academic Rigor

    Boise State is really on its way to the top when it comes to academics. While the school is really popular among business majors, it also offers a large number of majors to other students. The only complaint I would have is that the programs and requirements are constantly changing.
    Tips for prospective students

    The dorms at Boise State are optional, but if you have the chance to stay in them then definitely do so! You will have a great time meeting friends and getting familiar with the school. You will have so many connections that you wouldnt have staying off campus.

    Campus Safety is very important on Boise State University. Everywhere you walk there is a emergency phone nearby in case anything happens. If you happen to have a night class, there are many street lamps so that you'll always be seen.

    Surprisingly, there are clubs that I didn't even know exist like Anime Club, Chinese Club, a lot ethnic clubs as well as Student Government or Art Club, Woodshop, etc.

    The Quad is in the center of campus. Student groups, people from outside, clubs, and whatnot come to the center to advertise, send messages, and sell merchandise among other things. The Student Union Building (SUB) and the Interactive Learning Center (ILC) is two of the most crowded buildings on campus where students can study, eat, or hangout.
    What to do for fun

    There's a swimming pool in the Kinesiology building, a tennis court, a park and zoo right next to the university, a family fun zone in the Student Union Building, etc. Honestly, there is a lot of things you can do. Boise Downtown isn't that far as well; every Saturday there's a farmer's market going on. The Boise Mall is about twenty minutes from campus; you can hike on Table Rock.
    Food and Dining

    The food on campus is a bit expensive, but there a loads of little cafes and restaurants around it that you don't have to spend it on the university.
    Dorm Life

    I've never really lived in the dorms, but I don't think it's a requirement. It just depends on what you prefer and how convenient it is for you.

    A lot of professors make it challenging for you to learn your courses; however, they also give many chances to bring your grade up that you wouldn't really need extra credit.

    I'd recommend going to ratemyprofessor.com to get a good feel for the professor you have especially if you have a learning style that you'd prefer. Talk to other students who have previously gone and they can normally tell you what's what.

    Boise State is a great place if you're looking into business or psychology. The math program isn't all that great; it's really hard to find a good teacher. Overall, the general programs and per-requisites for other programs are nice and the teachers are easy to talk to.

    Boise is a great city, so there are many things to do. I personally like to be outdoors a lot, so I hike. There is a river right next to campus with a paved pathway that follows it. People like to walk, run, ride their bikes, etc. on this.

    There are a lot of options for food on campus. They have miniature restaurants, such as Subway, drink stores, such as Starbucks, and an on campus dining hall. I bought a dining hall pass one semester, and the food seemed to be just fine. It wasn't amazing, but it was good enough. I really like having the Starbucks on campus because you can quickly go get a drink in between classes for a pick me up.

    I haven't lived in the dorms, so I don't know anything about them.
    Academic Rigor

    I have attended one other college besides Boise State and I think the other college was more rigorous. The other college was a Bible college, though, so this might be expected. Overall, I haven't found Boise State that difficult, though. It does challenge me, but it's not impossible.

    This goes for any college, but be organized. Make sure to get your homework done and pay attention in class, so you don't have to spend more money to take the class again.

    It's a little weird but there is a bell on campus called the excellence bell and people know not to touch it because people pee on it all the time. The football games are the best to go to.

    I feel like I'm getting the best education possible by going to Boise State. It takes a lot to get the money to pay for school so I try my hardest to find grants and scholarships. I am on the dance team and that takes a lot of time but I try to work as much as I can to pay for school because my parents cant afford it.

    There is a grass field where you can play soccer, softball, etc. whenever there is not a lacross game going on. There is a bowling alley and pool tables free to students and there is also movie nights free for students.

    The BRC (Boise River Cafe) is the main place to eat if you have a meal plan and they have great food. There is all kinds of different places on campus to get food and they are all good.

    The recreation center is open nearly all day long (6am-10pm most days), numerous events and activities and events are planned daily by Dorm RA's and Fraternities, the Boise River is always open to float and is located right next to many dorms, downtown Boise is a mere 5 minute walk, and there is always the excitement of BSU Football on the blue turf!
    Food and Dining

    Depending on your meal plan, you could either gain your Freshman 15 within the first week, or lose 15 pounds within the same time frame. The chefs are kind and willing, and the food is of good quality. There is a Subway, Chick Fillet, Quizno's, Papa John's, and other restaurants on or near campus just in case you don't enjoy the meal plan food!
    Dorm Life

    Dorm rooms are comfortable and fit everyone just fine. If you get into Barnes Towers Hall, be sure to bring some power-strips because there's only one power outlet per person!

    Be yourself. No matter who you are, you will be adopted and brought into bronco-nation with incredible enthusiasm! Be sure to try and get all required documents and applications in as soon as possible in order to get personal preference on a lot of things.

    There are emergency call posts all over campus, but I have heard of multiple dorm room robberies already this year. A student in one of my classes was held at gunpoint. Fortunately for him, the robbers (also students) were inexperienced in what they were doing and the victims were able to fight them off.

    There are a bunch of clubs and school-wide activities. They advertise them pretty well. And if you can't find the club you want, you can create it.

    Boise State football is a big deal. Most students go to the games, and that can be a very unifying atmosphere.

    The greenbelt runs right along campus and is beautiful. It is nice to take a walk or a bike ride along there. Downtown is very close, and the BODO area is always thriving with activities during every season of the year. There are concerts almost everyday, ranging from big time names at the Morrison Center, to small underground groups at the local Flying M coffee shop.

    I do not have access to the food served to those who live in the dorms. The food served in the Student Union Building (SUB) foot court area is disgusting The food served in the Interactive Learning Center (ILC) is better.

    I do not live in the dorms. I live off campus. One friend told me she hates living in the dorms, but I have overheard good things about living in Driscoll, the Honor's dorm house.

    Most of the freshman classes are fairly simple and straightforward, however, just because a class does not require intense effort, does not mean you don't have to give it. Putting in extra time and effort to gain a stronger grasp of the material is never a bad idea. It can make the class more entertaining and in my perspective, makes my tuition money go further.
    Tips for prospective students

    -Use the resources available to you. This includes the technology you are able to check out, the databases you are allowed to use, the teachers who are there to help you during office hours, and the lectures/workshops which are hosted regularly. -Register as early as possible. Waiting until the last minute only guarantees you stress. -Check your University email every day. -Don't schedule early morning classes if you are not positive you can handle them. -Learn proper etiquette for emailing professors. -Participate in class discussions, even if you don't think you have much to add, it lets the teacher and the students know you are there and paying attention.

    There is literally emergency beacons everywhere in sight on campus that one could run to if they felt unsafe. The campus is often safe at night to walk or ride around on.

    The Greek life here is pretty awful, the campus is dry which makes a lot of the Greek houses lose their main purpose. Unfortunately the Greek life is also fairly expensive, especially when compared to other schools.

    The dorms are obnoxiously expensive and there are lots of misc. fees that you don't actually know what you're paying for. However what you do get for your money is a nice set up but they could do better.

    There are plenty of activities planned by the school throughout the year that are quite fun. Otherwise there are some clubs and bars near campus that students of appropriate age would likely enjoy.

    The campus has a wide variety of food choices and the Boise River Cafe is always a delicious meal. With downtown Boise within walking distance it makes finding something unique fairly simple too.

    Living in Barnes Towers has probably been the best part of my college experience so far. The number of people that are just really awesome blows my mind and I'm always connecting with new people and learning new things.

    Most classes are difficult but fun because you end up learning a lot of interesting things that you can apply in everyday life. Some like math however, need work and give the school a bad name.

    A means of transportation would be necessary whether that be a bike or long-board or even a car.

    Boise State is a very safe school! I haven't had any problems, and people take care of each other. I feel very safe on campus. The campus police are friendly and kind. They are always there to assist and give out parking tickets. Thus keeping us safe and obeying the law.

    I had a scholarship for the first 2 years of college, so I think I'm paying more than what I should, but everyone else I talk to says that I am lucky! And I will believe them, I just feel like college students are poor, so everything is expensive. But this school is awesome and worth every penny for the experiences you gain.

    There is so much to do for fun! Football games are a must, as long with any athletic event. Boise State also has volunteer Saturdays for service opportunities. We are close to the mountains, to enjoy the fresh air of a hike or bike ride on the greenbelt. Boise also has a discovery center, and art museums that will blow your mind. Many fun things to do here in Boise. It is a very interactive community!
    Food and Dining

    There is always great places to eat! If you can't find what you want on campus, there are so many restaurants that support students just down the street. There are always coupons for students and the food is great!
    Dorm Life

    I haven't lived in the dorms, but I know that a lot of people really enjoy it. There are some very nice places on campus to live, and the convenience of it all, is fantastic.

    Depending on the classes, sometimes academics is difficult. But you have teachers that are willing to help, and make sure you are doing the best that you can.

    I would recommend researching your interest in a field of study. Take a wide variety of classes your first semester, to make sure that is what you want. It will broaden your vision of your potential future. Do not give up on trying for a specific program you want because there are people at Boise State that want you to succeed.

    I absolutely adore my roommate!! They did a great job at putting us together! I live in Driscoll, so this dorm is one of the oldest ones on campus, but if you want they have newer dorms if that's an issue.

    The freshmen classes are relatively easy, but Boise State does offer more challenging class if that's what you want.

    Make sure that you enroll as soon as possible. Classes fill up really quick and sometimes you can get the professor to put you in a class if you really need it. Also, make sure that you turn in ALL of the documents financial aid needs!! This will hold you up really bad, but I'm sure Boise State isn't the only college that does that.

    There are events frequently at the Morrison Center, annual Football games, there is a gym that is free for full-time students, as well as Gamma member events.

    There is great variety of food options around and on campus. Chick-fil-a is in the Student Union Building and there is even a Starbucks inside of the library.

    All the building have individual locks that can only be opened with your ID card and your room is locked by key. My roommate lost his key and in order to ensure safety the next morning the maintenance crew came and put in a new lock and gave us new keys. They are always around to answer questions and offer help. I have never felt unsafe on campus.

    Greek is weak. There is only a few frats that have houses and no sorority houses that I know of. Some of my friends pledged anyways and they seem to like it but they don't do much as chapters.

    I play on the club soccer team and do a ton of intramural sports. They are tons of fun and another great way to meet new people. They are offered all year round and finding a team is one of the easiest things to do on campus.

    On campus football is huge! We tailgate all day and play like champions. There is a haunted building on campus and bell with a lot of history.

    It is super cheap. A lot of Oregon, Washington, and California students come here because it is cheaper than in state tuition to any schools in their states. Books are great and the flat rate for credits is really nice. The housing is a little steep for the amenities offered but the experience of the dorms is worth every penny.

    There is always tons of options for entertainment. We have bowling, pool, a real swimming pool, ping pong, pianos, a movie theater, and more just on campus. Then we are a 5 minute walk to downtown Boise where there are a ton of Bars, Restaurants, another movie theater, and a sports arena where the semi pro hockey and basketball teams play. And like any other college there is always the house parties around campus as well.

    We have so many options here at BSU, we have a Panda Express, Subway, two Starbucks, and many more choices around campus. Most importantly is the Boise River Cafe. This is the on campus cafeteria. It is buffet style and you will always be able to find some food that will hit the spot.

    The dorms are absolutely the best place to live. I have met so many really cool people that I feel really close to. You will meet at least 10 people in the first semester that will become some of your closest friends.

    School here is really hard. It is a lot different than high school in the fact that you live it not just go as a chore everyday. If you set up some time everyday you will finish all of your assignments and easily get those A's and B's the parents want you to get.

    You should definitely live on campus, bring a bike or longboard, and be ready to work hard and play hard. I've met a ton of really amazing people here at BSU and I get excited to go back at the end of our breaks. You will have homework but the library is an amazing place to study and you can always invite some friends to go with you. The biggest tip of all is come ready to have fun and meet lots of really amazing friends.

    Boise is a safe town to begin with, and campus security adds even more to that. There are emergency call posts everywhere on campus, security is patrolling 24/7, and security will personally escort you places if you feel unsafe, simply call their number. I spend late nights at the library and never feel unsafe walking back to my dorm.

    Greek life is something that is just starting to take off at Boise State. As a result, there are many opportunities to get involved. I am not personally involved in Greek life, but those friends I know involved have enjoyed it and are happy they made the decision to pledge, whether it was a social or service fraternity/sorority.
    Clubs and Activities

    Boise State wants to get you involved! They are huge on student involvement and there is virtually a club or organization for any type of student. If there isn't a club you want to join, you can make one. One student I know of couldn't find a club he wanted to join, so he made one of his own: A Nerf Gun Fight Club. Seriously, anything is possible. They almost always have some sort of activity going on sponsored by the Get Involved Committee whether it be bingo, concerts, or puppy therapy sessions during finals. Student life is basically everything you'd want and more.

    Students who want to go out of state for cheap. Students looking to get involved and have access to tons of on campus activities. Students looking for a fun city with a lot to do. Students wanting to participate in Honors College. Students interested in Social Work. Students interested in Engineering. Students interested in Political Science.     We have our own personal concert hall on campus that is shaped like the state of Idaho from an aerial view. The Boise River is right behind campus where you can swim, raft, and fish. You can practically fish out of your dorm window if you wanted. One of our classrooms in the communications building is haunted. Our football turf is blue. How can you get cooler than blue turf?
    Bang for the buck

    Tuition wise, it's about as cheap as you can get for an Idaho school. Housing can get really expensive, but besides that, it's pretty affordable. Many students come here from Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and California because our out of state tuiton is cheaper than their in state. Also, getting out of state tuition is fairly easy too. It's not the cheapest, but for the quality of education and all the opportunities you get to have access to, I'd say it's worth the money.
    What to do for fun

    Not to be biased, but Boise is probably the greatest town on earth for fun. At Boise State, you are a 5 minute walk from downtown where we have all the ammenities of a metropolitan area from the arts to awesome food. If that's not your cup of tea, we're a 20 minute drive from camping, hiking, and ski hills. We have the Boise River right behind campus for swimming, rafting, and fishing. If you don't want to go anywhere, there is always an activity of some sort to get involved with on campus. There is something for everyone.
    Food and Dining

    The food in the cafeteria (the BRC) is pretty awesome. All you can eat and there are a lot of options. Usually good quality too, except for the pizza, it's give or take depending on the day. If you get tired of that, there's a bunch of restaurants like Chick Fil A, Subway, and Einstein Brother's Bagels on campus that you can use flex dollars with, which are like a meal. I'd recommend the least amount of meals in the BRC and the most amount of flex.
    Dorm Life

    We have some really awesome dorm options at Boise State, but be prepared to pay a pretty penny for them. Living on campus is expensive! There are a variety of housing options to pick from, so there is probably something that fits what you're looking for. Check out their website for specifics. The RA's in each dorm do lots of activities to get people involved and do whatever they can to make you comfortable. If you don't mind sharing a room, I'd recommend Towers hands down. Apply for Driscoll or Morrison if you want a single. You don't have to buy toilet paper or clean your bathrooms in those dorms either.
    Academic Rigor

    Boise State is as hard as you make it. There are going to be classes require minimal work (Music 100 with Justin Stamps is one of those if you're looking for an easy A) and there will be classes designed to kick your butt and stretch you academically (Social Work 101 with Royce Hudson. Not recommended if you aren't planning on studying). I think it's completely possible to make academics at this university as easy or as hard as you want. If you are looking for a challenge, join the Honors College. It will challenge your critical thinking skills, give you a more rigorous curriculum, and you get perks like priority registration for classes.
    Tips for prospective students

    Take a tour and look around campus. Just being there will let you feel the positive atmosphere. Apply for ALL the scholarships. Get involved with as much as you possibly can handle. There is so much to do. If you can play a musical instrument, do marching band. It will change your life. If you are even considering Honor College, apply. It will also change your life. Talk to your professors. They love it when you take the effort to ask questions outside of class. Live on campus your first year. It's expensive, but it's so much fun and you get to meet a lot of people.

    AMAZING campus safety here at Boise State. Even when school isn't in session, you can see campus driving around constantly. They aren't over protective and do let us have fun though. For example, to kill time sometimes, we'd take tennis balls, and bounce them off random objects to hit a target. Simple game that doesn't harm anything, and it's just for fun. When security saw us, he asked us what we were doing, we explained, and he asked if he could try it out. Our CS is always around but never too strict with students if they aren't doing anything wrong.
    Greek Life

    Greek life isn't large at all, but it's growing. When it comes to sororities, we're an Alpha campus, so all of them begin with Alpha. (Alpha Chi, Alpha Zi, Alpha Gama, ect.) They are much more community service based than the typical Greek life you see at large colleges.
    What to do for fun

    On campus, there is tons of things to do like the rock climbing wall, the Rec center that has a pool and hot tub. If you're into sports, this place is really for you though. Football games are the biggest thing to happen all year, and as soon as that ends, it's basketball season. Off campus, skiing is no more than 30 minutes away along with floating the river in the summer.
    Food and Dining

    The dining hall, which we call BRC, or the berk for short, has a lot of different options for you. They do a really great job at helping people like myself who have food allergies and will make special food upon request every time. We also have things like Subway, Starbucks, Papa John's, and Panda Express on campus which you can use your meals for!

    Dorm life is fantastic here at Boise State, they're all located right next to the stadium which is fantastic for games, and the farthest you'll have to walk to get to class is 10 minutes.
    Academic Rigor

    Of course, the Academic rigor is going to be different everywhere, but I believe it is what you make it. Although Boise State has a low graduation rate, you get much more personal help in classes and is a small campus where you wont feel like you're left out in your degree. The college makes you want to succeed.

    The best advice I can give you is put yourself out there. Come to Boise State, take a tour of the college, look around town. If you're looking for a huge campus and big city living, Boise State isn't for you. But, if you love the outdoors, football, and having tons of school spirit, Boise is the right place for you

Boise State is a small town college with tons of school spirit that makes you want to be involved with every activity you can make time for.     The Boise State Campus is remarkably safe! There is always campus security walking around that are there to help if need be. The only crime really found on campus is someones bike getting stolen, other than that it is a very nonviolent campus.
    Greek Life

    I was a person that always turned my nose up at Greek life until I researched what it was like at Boise State. The Greek Life at BSU is much smaller than it is at other schools across the nation but it still offers the same benefits. The Greek system operates as one big community/family. We hold ourselves to the same standards if not higher as other schools. Joining a fraternity or sorority is a great way to get involved, form life-long bonds and friendships, and build networks for the future.
    What to do for fun

    There are many fun things to do both on and off campus. When the weather is nice many students get together and float down the river on the edge of campus. Many also utilize Boise's Green Belt that runs right along the river. Aside from those activities, another really fun thing to do is go to all the sporting events and showing off your bronco pride!
    Food and Dining

    There are many food and dining services found around campus. The main dining hall, Boise River Cafe is found in the Student Union Building. However, there are other restaurants found in the ILC like, Papa Johns, Panda Express, Einstein's Bagels, Starbucks and Moxie Java.
    Dorm Life

    Dorm life is once again what you make of it! There are various residence halls open to students ranging from traditional 2 person, community style dorms, to 4-8 person suite style dorms. Each dorm also offers ways to be involved, like Hall Council, working the front desk, or working at the Grill located in Chaffee Hall. In the dorms, you are most likely going to meet the people that will become your best friends throughout college.
    Academic Rigor

    Boise State has high academic standards and wants nothing less than the best for its students. Boise State University has one of the best business and economics departments on this side of the country.

    College is what you make of it. For this reason, stay informed of different activities going on around campus, this will give you many more chances at meeting new people and chances at getting involved. Some of the best advice I ever got was to get involved in clubs, the greek system, or sports. Getting involved is remarkably beneficial, especially for new freshmen.

    What to do for fun

    So many things to do...skiing is only an hour away. Camping is about the same, and there's an immeasurable amount of hiking. If you like the outdoors, Boise is the perfect spot: urban sprawl and innovation surrounded by easily accessible and diverse landscapes. If you like being in town, there's plenty of things to do downtown and at different locations as you get to know more people (which is easy considering the small but not too small size of Boise).
    Food and Dining

    There's lots of good food in Boise. With Boise State being right next to downtown, there's a load of places to choose from. Not to mention the availability of food on campus. My favorite spot is Einstein Brothers Bagel company right in the middle of campus.
    Dorm Life

    Dorms seem fun, although I've never lived in one myself. I would say that on campus housing, such as the low priced houses in the surrounding areas, are a much more fun way to go. It's awesome to have roommates that share your course load and there's plenty of fun things to do and people to meet within walking distance.
    Academic Rigor

    The classes at Boise State are what you make of them. Yes, they require studying and hard work. But in some it's easy to skate by in light of all the stress. At the same time, it's important to realize that you'll take from each course what you want to take from it; you learn what you want to learn and you keep the knowledge that you want to keep.

    I would tell prospective students to be as active as you can: get ahead in planning, join clubs and organizations that sound interesting to you, and do everything you can to move forward. There's no end to what you can do as long as you want to do it.

    BSU takes safety as a number one priority. They have big blue call boxes in case somebody is in trouble or even if they feel unsafe, a security guard will escort them across campus.

    The BSU rec services are outstanding. The gym is almost always open and is very clean and there is plenty of equipment.

    Always stuff going on. Sororities and Fraternities are always having events and they are always super fun.

    The BRC is a delicious place to eat. It is always different styles of cuisine and the staff is very friendly. BSU also has other options like Chik-fil-A and the Choices at the ILC.

    Dorms are clean and well staffed. Most dorms have pool tables and ping pong to use at any time as well as t.v.s for the residents to use.

    I know there are a lot of them, there is Green Speed who have a truck that runs on bio fuels and currently has a record speed of 203 mph.

    Boise State University has a great surrounding atmosphere. Right next door is the Boise Zoo, 2 museums, the Boise River and downtown is a hop, skip and a jump away. In winter there is Skiing about 45 minutes away, sledding around town but especially popular at Simplot Hill, coffee shops, local events, and running events. In the summer there are more activities like floating the river, river surfing, fishing, boating, rope swings, bicycling on the green belt, kayak parks, rafting, camping, skate parks, hiking, swimming, 1st Thursdays where all museums are free year round, and many other activities going on daily in the Boise Weekly.

    Food is more expensive than it should be in the cafeteria, but there is a lot to choose from. There are also a couple of subways on campus, a chic filet and other restaurants close by.

    I do not know, I have not lived in a dorm.

    It is above average.

    Definitely apply for federal grants, and when you get into BSU talk with advisers to get your academic plan set up. Do this so you don't waist a single moment or dollar on getting your degree!

    Extremely safe campus. If there is trouble though they have emergency contact stations spaced everywhere around campus. These emergency stations can contact campus security or the police with the push of a button.

    If you are looking into the school, stick to the hard sciences as the Chemistry Department offers some semblance of academic rigor. The math department is atrocious so take math during high school if you can.

    What to do for fun

    In Boise, there is so much to do. I love spending time hiking, floating the river in the summer and up at Bogus during the winter. We have a lot of outdoor opportunities and awesome small towns only short distances away from Boise.

    The University offers so many awesome food choices! I am always in a hurry to get lunch and the lines to any places are fast-paced. There are so many different food options.
    Dorm Life

    I live with my parents but I have heard wonderful things about the dorms. If I wasn't from Boise originally, I would've loved to experience the dorm life. I have two kids so its not an option for me.
    Academic Rigor

    The professors I have had do expect a lot from me. However, they are always readily available to answer questions and provide help and support. As long as you give it your all in the classes, you should see great success.

    Make sure to keep up on your homework. This isn't high school and a lot of professors don't care if you didn't do your homework, so it's your loss on the grade. Stay motivated and remember to enjoy college life!

    Boise is a safe area with campus security everywhere. If you feel the slightest bit uncomfortable walking on campus alone at night or for any other reason, call the 24/7 campus security hotline. They will walk you or drive you anywhere you need, no questions asked. I feel very safe in Boise and especially on campus.
    What to do for fun

    Bogus Basin- local ski hill that is only about 40 minutes away. Rec center- rock climbing, basketball, workout classes, exercise facility, pool/hot tub Lakes-Boise has a couple lakes that are not far at all for summer activities Lots of outdoor activities- hiking, climbing, dirt biking trails, mountain biking

    I'm having a blast living in Taylor Dorms. Taylor and Keiser are the relatively new dorms and I have my own room with 8 roommates. We share a living room and four girls to one bathroom. I have met a lot of people and the dorms are a great experience.

    The winters are very cold and the summers get very hot. Lakes during the summer time and ski hills during the winter time are only a short drive. Cops are everywhere on campus so it isn't considered much of a big party school, but obviously parties happen everywhere! You just have to keep your ears open.
