    Campus Safety

The campus is located in a safe neighborhood and with the college connected to the hospital security is always roaming the campus. Students never feel like they are in danger. The city of Lincoln, NE is also a very safe town to live in.

    Greek Life

Being a small specialized school unfortunaty the college lacks Greek Life.

    Clubs and Activities

Along with the yearly volleyball tournament the college as a winter dance and a spring dance. There is not many thing to do at the college, but you will soon become friends with a lot of classmate due to the small size of the school.

Great for these types of students

BryanLGH is a great school for any student looking to become a competent and well rounded nurse or health care professional. The college is a specialized school that really gets the student prepared for the real world.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

As mentioned above the college hosts a yearly sand volleyball tournament. Students at the college get teams together and play against each other. And for any history buffs William Jennings Bryan's house is on campus. He ran for president three different times and the hospital is named after him.

    Bang for the buck

The school tuition is relatively expensive, but with the small size of the school students get a lot of one-on-one time with the teachers. The school uses the hospital for most of its clinical time. This is helpful because you do not have to go far. The hospital along with the school is very well known throughout the Midwest.

    What to do for fun

The school has a yearly volleyball tournament, and the school has a lot of opportunities to volunteer and get involved with the school. Also BryanLGH is in the same town as the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Attending sport events is very easy to attend.

    Food and Dining

The school is connected to BryanLGH East Hospital. The hospital gives students discounts to eat there. There is a wide verity of food which is all very good, but the cafeteria does have limited hours of operation.

    Dorm Life

There are not any dorm rooms. This to me is the biggest down side to the school. The school will help you find a roommate and a place to live. The college used to have a dorm in the past, but I would guess due to the small population of students they removed the dorm.

    Academic Rigor

BryanLGH will challenge you. They try to push you so by the time the NCLEX Exam comes around you will be ready for it. BryanLGH does not have a cadaver lab, however, they are remodeling their science labs to have a cadaver lab, and the college is also one of the only colleges that have human palatinates.

    Tips for prospective students

Study, get to know your classmates and teachers, but most of all have fun. Getting involved in college activities will also help get to know the people that will be around you for the next 4 years.

    In three sentences

BryanLGH College of Health Sciences is a small intimate school. The classmates that you are with are going to be with you for four years and the teachers will teach multiple class that you are in. They will all help you grow and push you to be your best and you will do the same for others.

    Campus Safety

Because the college is located on hospital grounds, there is security on staff 24/7.

    Greek Life

    unfortunately, none.

    Clubs and Activities

For a smaller school they have quite the assortment of activities, mostly volunteering around the community with groups such as the Red Cross and Tabitha Health Care.

Great for these types of students

Study, take notes and again, get to know the staff!

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

The only thing unusual about the two campuses is that they are both built in to the hospitals themselves.

    Bang for the buck

It is a little pricier than a community college, but the one on one attention and the extra clinical hours make it hard to even compare the price to a traditional university. Definitely worth the little bit of extra money.

    What to do for fun

There are many activities and clubs that anyone can sign up for, including involvement in the Red Cross and other healthcare organizations.

    Food and Dining

The only cafeteria is the one located in the hospital, but the food itself is almost comparable to a few homemade dishes, but it is hospital food.

    Dorm Life

There is no on campus housing.

    Academic Rigor

The classes can be tough, but you learn A LOT as long as you take notes.

    Tips for prospective students

Make as many friends as possible and get to know the entire staff! :)

    In three sentences

BryanLGH College of Health Sciences has some of the most friendly and helpful staff! They are ALWAYS willing to take time out of their busy schedules to help out a student (this includes teaching and coordinating staff). Because of this, BryanLGH makes you feel welcome and at home, no matter where you are from.

    Campus Safety

There is never a moment i fell unsafe here. Also, majority of the students are VERY trust worthy. If i leave my stuff sitting around I know it will be there when i get back.

    Greek Life

    Currently there is none.

    Clubs and Activities

We have student government, action for student, a christian club, Red cross, and a nursing club.

Great for these types of students

Anyone interested in nursing. Also great for any age group of people whether they are traditional or not.

    Bang for the buck

For a private and nursing college it is very well priced.

    What to do for fun

Bryan holds events to let all the students get together. For example last semester they hired a comedian. We also have intramural volleyball, and hold other miscellaneous events.

    Food and Dining

Since there isn't on campus living we do not have a huge cafeteria, but we do have places to eat, and even get discounts with our student card

    Dorm Life

Currently Bryan does not have any on campus housing. I love living in my apartment however, and my roommate goes to Bryan as well. We met at a roommate roundup.

    Academic Rigor

Overall, it depends on the course. My anatomy course is by far the hardest class i have ever taken in my life. On the other hand, Bryan offers fun classes like yoga and sign language.

    Tips for prospective students

Start off strong in the beginning. Slacking off early can make it stressful. Bryan can be a challenging college, but in the end it is so worth it.

    In three sentences

Overall, I love Bryan. It has a great student to professor ratio with its small class sizes. Also, its strictly a health college, so all my Gen Eds have a health related twist to them.
