Most students who attend Butte College transfer to Chico State University because the two institutions share a transfer agreement. The funny part is that a lot of the professors at Butte Community College also teach at Chico State University, so while attending Butte, students are receiving a State College education at a Community College price.

schooling is always expensive just about everywhere. Because Butte is a community college, it is cheaper than attending a University. There are many tutors, workshops, health/ first aid care, transportation and other helpful resources that are included in the tuition. (which isn't too expensive)

It's a community college, it's cheap. But the quality of teachers and classes are more than worth it.

Community colleges are an excellent way to go! Apply for FAFSA and the BOG fee waiver just in case you qualify. Check websites like half.com or textbooks.com before you go into the bookstore so you can get the most bang for your buck on your books.
