The botanic garden is nice, there's the Brooklyn Museum and Library, but overall the area is pretty dead. It's a CUNY so it is based a lot more on functionality rather then student life.

the school offers clubs and activities to students.

I would say that theirs always something to do for fun everywhere you just have to find it and if you don't then create it. Medgar has two new lounge areas where students can go to hand out, play pool, basketball and study. During noontime Monday's and Wednesday's, medgar has what they call club hours. During this time a lot of activities occur Such as business club, ethnic clubs etc.
