The beach is 15 minutes away, an outlet mall probably 10 minutes away. Plenty to do if you have a car, if not, then take part in the campus life.

There are so many campus activities! We have monthly block parties near the student dorms/apartments, and we have many cultural, artsy, fun events that are open to all students that attend CI. If you don't feel up to attending, the beach is less than 10 minutes away, and the Camarillo Shopping Outlet is a short distance away.

There are many different events put on each semester that offer students the chance to let loose and mingle with fellow students. From themed floor meeting to monthly Block Parties, the opportunities to have fun with your peers are endless. Since CSU Channel Islands is smaller than other CSU universities, you see people you know everyday and events like the ones above are more intimate.
