» Read MoreMy friends and I have not found out where to go when we are bored our of our minds. Some might say Channel Islands is a commuter school. Over the weekend a lot of kids go home and it can get a little lonely. What I suggest is to go exploring.

We have monthly block parties near the student dorms/apartments, and we have many cultural, artsy, fun events that are open to all students that attend CI. If you don't feel up to attending, the beach is less than 10 minutes away, and the Camarillo Shopping Outlet is a short distance away.

From themed floor meeting to monthly Block Parties, the opportunities to have fun with your peers are endless. Since CSU Channel Islands is smaller than other CSU universities, you see people you know everyday and events like the ones above are more intimate.
