There is a ton to do on campus and off for everybody. On-campus: greek organizations, multicultural clubs, academic clubs, philanthropy clubs, and recreational clubs and sports. All of these programs hold events throughout the year all over campus and a few off campus (usually at food places). Also on-campus: movies, bowling, pool, billiards, AMAZING rec center (gym), farmer's market, theater shows and of course all of the games and matches for our AMAZING sports program--GO BEACH! Off-campus: 2nd Street has a ton dining, bars, and fun shops, there are always beaches nearby, and there are a fair number of parks surrounding the school.

There are a lot of food places nearby, so you'll gain a few. However, there is also the Rec center on campus with a rock climbing wall. There are multiple beaches with the closest one being five minutes away, and there are lots of shops as well. there are two close movie theaters and a mall about 30 min away.

To have fun, I'd say you have to get involved in clubs. There's not many activities you can just get into off-hand (unless you like juggling), but the week of welcome that's during the first week of school lets you know of all the activities CSULB has to offer. There's also the gym, where you can sign up for fun classes and rent boards and tents, as well as rock climb.

Lots to do for fun. Of course there are all the clubs you can join, the frat parties, and pools. The athletic games are also pretty fun to go to. The beaches (Seal Beach, Huntington, Sunset, Bolsa Chica) are all a close drive from campus. Disneyland is a 20 minute drive away and downtown L.A is about an hour depending on traffic.

For fun you can visit the new gym to get a great workout before your classes. The gym offers rock climbing, swimming, and other activities. You can also join clubs on campus where you make friends that you can eat out with and talk to. Also for those who love nature, CSULB has its own japanese garden which is a beautiful place filled with koi fish ponds, bonzai trees, and other lovely greenery.

Watching a basketball game at the Walter Pyramid is a must! Also, Long Beach State has an amazing state of the art Recreation Center with indoor track, lots of machines for working out, 3 indoor basketball courts with constant pick-up games, large pool/hot tub, beach volleyball court, etc. etc. Also, explore the beaches and attractions in SoCal! Disneyland and Dodgers/Lakers/Clippers/Angels/Kings/Ducks games are favorites.
