Around Town

There's always the beach, which you can go to pretty much any time of the year because of the awesome weather! Then there are parties as long as you know people around.. The REC center is pretty nice and it has a huge pool which is always good. There are a lot of things to do, as long as you're willing to look for them!

I enjoy going to the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, which is a two story gym with indoor basketball courts, volleyball courts, pools, and many other fun equipment to work out and play with. There is also always great fun activities being held through the student association, and they post flyers everywhere. Get involved.

Long Beach attractions such as beaches near by, the Pike, Aquarium of the Pacific, Queen Mary, annual Long Beach Grand Prix and more.

Cal State Long Beach has an amazing Japanese Garden. We have koi fish there that loves to eat from the palms of visitors. It's free! Our student union also has a bowling alley, you can play pool, visit the arcade, or watch movies at our movie theater.

Make friends.

For fun, I usually go downtown or go to the beach on the weekends. There are a lot of restaurants here so take advantage of that. I usually just join a few clubs and they always have activities planned for you.

Between my hours in CSULB i would spend my time studying or reading a book. But, if a student wants to have fun, they should invite their friends to the Recreation Center. And this Recreation Center is very large. It's filled with weights, cardio equipment, and sports that anyone can enjoy. It's very fun. They even have rock climbing.

There are tons of things to do in the area. The mountains are just a couple hours away and the beach is just down the street. Long beach itself is very fun, always packed with new things to do.
