Around Town

CSULB is nicknamed The Beach for a reason. The ocean is close and the weather is always great. There are many local places to hang out at.

You can always go play basketball or indoor soccer at the recreation center. Or just hang out with friend watching your favorite show in the Student Union.

Join an organization! There are lots of things to try out whether it's the Greek system, academic clubs, choirs, or athletic clubs. Great weather all year round.

There are so many things to do in Downtown Long Beach, such as go to the Pike, swim at the beach, etc. There's always something new to find in Long Beach. You can also take the Metro to LA to all that LA has to offer.

The have bowling on campus! The Rec center is fun in general, it is the recreation center after all.

In the University Student Union they have pool and bowling. There is also the Rec center (the gym) where they have a pool, hot tub, and beach volleyball court.

There's always the beach, which you can go to pretty much any time of the year because of the awesome weather! Then there are parties as long as you know people around.. The REC center is pretty nice and it has a huge pool which is always good. There are a lot of things to do, as long as you're willing to look for them!

I enjoy going to the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, which is a two story gym with indoor basketball courts, volleyball courts, pools, and many other fun equipment to work out and play with. There is also always great fun activities being held through the student association, and they post flyers everywhere. Get involved.
