Food and dining is great and there is a variety of on campus restaurants to choose from and there is also more across the street from the university including a grocery store as well.

Recently the school has constructed a new student union consisting of 5 or so restaurants. They are expensive and I have never seen anyone with a meal plan. Since our dorms all have fully-equipped kitchens we mostly cook for ourselves.

There is not many eateries at Cal State University San Marcos. But not far there is a Sprinter Station that can take you on stops from Escondido to you get to Oceanside if you cannot drive. And if you can drive food places are not far from the university.

Our greek life is fantastic on campus because it constantly supports unity, character, and builds a strong foundation of both sisterhood or brotherhood. Being in a sorority or fraternity provides opportunities to engage in all kinds of events and activities on campus that will help you enhance your communication skills, and give students the opportunity to use their own strengths to make the organization better and unique.

The fraternities and sororities at California State University San Marcos have an amazing bond with one another and it is a great way to become involved in school and meet some of the wonderful students that could be in any of your classes!
