Professors care and want you to succeed. They challenge you, tasks are easy, but they also want to give you the tools to succeed, and excel at it. Some of the professors you connect with will get to know you at a personal level. In the classroom you are taught the material in a more realistic and world setting. You are also taught spiritually and through your faith. Calvin is a Liberal Arts College so you are allowed (and required) to complete various Core classes to be more well rounded.

Close community of bright students who are dedicated to pursuing a high quality education. While Christianity is ingrained in the studies, strong Christians are difficult to find. The campus is increasing its diversity though many international students, but there is a lot to still be done.

Calvin College is not only strong in academics but it also makes you feel like you are part of the community on the very first day you stepped unto the campus. The professors are not only willing to help you with any struggles that you may have but they also genuinely desire to see you excel. Not only that, Calvin is full of opportunities in areas of service, work, helping out in the hospitals, study abroad, clubs and activities happening on the campus.
