Professors care and want you to succeed. They challenge you, tasks are easy, but they also want to give you the tools to succeed, and excel at it. Some of the professors you connect with will get to know you at a personal level. In the classroom you are taught the material in a more realistic and world setting. You are also taught spiritually and through your faith. Calvin is a Liberal Arts College so you are allowed (and required) to complete various Core classes to be more well rounded.

Challenging school that welcomes students from many walks of life. The school itself is immersed in Christianity, but not oppressive and welcoming to dialogue. Calvin challenges you to think about why you believe what you believe rather than telling you what to believe.

Calvin is an amazing and close, tight knit community. Being that it is a small private school of 4,000 students and faculty, it does have it's moments where it feels like you are back in high school due to drama and what not, but that is because Calvin students can be a bit clique-y, but outliers such as myself manage to still make friends. Calvin is a feeder school, so 40% of their student population will be Dutch and will come from Grand Rapids Christian and another school I cannot think of, but there are still a lot of students from different parts of the world and from different states of the US.

This is an amazing school to be at if you don't want to just be thrown into a largely populated college. You meet people in diversity, because you never know what types of links you friends have that'll introduce you to more people. And if you want you prefer to have your Christian faith incorporated into your education then you'll come to Calvin.

Calvin College is owned by the Christian Reformed Church, so students grow in their faith and learn more about the world around them from a Christian worldview.

Beautiful campus, not too small, not too big. The chapel was amazing, and the entire campus seems home-y. Definitely at the top of my list.

Calvin College is one of my favorite places in the world. The professors helped me a great deal and I felt that they truly cared about me and wanted to see me succeed no matter if their class was in my major or not. Being on a sports team also gave me an opportunity to make some really good friends and now I have some fantastic memories and stories that I will never forget.
