Pittsburgh is one of the most boring cities I've been in, especially if you're trapped in one section of it. Try to visit museums and downtown, and eat out if you want to try and enjoy it, and even then, the busing system can be excruciating. There is a mall with plenty to do close by, however. Hanging out with friends there is a good choice.

Study. JK. Pittsburgh is an awesome city that has a lot to do. There's the Waterfront, Southside and the Strip where many shopping and activities are, as well as downtown. For sports fans, you have the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Penguins, two of the most successful teams in their respective sport. On campus, there are a myriad of activities that can match your interest. And then there's buggy. Glorious buggy.

Pittsburgh is a really great city. You can explore the different sectors such as the strip district, the cultural district, etc. There are many restaurants within walking distance from campus. The buses make it pretty easy to get around also. As a student, there are many things you can do for free around pittsburgh.

Go to the events your dorm has, your RAs are surprisingly interesting and funny. Sports teams are fun and aren't hard to join no matter what your skill level is. I hear that if you want to go a really fun party, you have to go to the University of Pittsburgh down the street. As far as just hanging out with friends goes, its easy to find a favorite restaurant and bus fare is free for students with their ID. That is a bigger plus than it seems.

Explore Pittsburgh! We get free access in to all of the museums and our ID card works as a bus pass, so we can get anywhere in this city.

There are tons of campus events happening all the time that are usually pretty fun, especially Carnival. Also, going down to the Waterfront and seeing a movie or just hanging out with friends is a great way to get away from campus now and then.
