Carnegie Mellon academics are rigorous, but quite rewarding. Almost every student here is exceptional, and very motivated about their field of study (and other things). It is definitely not a party school, but you can still find parties.

It's a great university with a beautiful campus in Oakland for students to attend to become academically challenged. The size of the university is big enough yet small enough so that students get to know one another. The academics here are challenging and rewarding.

Carnegie Mellon has so far been a wonderful experience because of its close and intimate community. Everyone cares about each other, even teachers respect and treat students as individuals. Carnegie Mellon just makes students feel at home while also providing great education.

Carnegie Mellon University is a strong university for anyone interested in modern technology and the changing world. The people here are enterprising and ambitious, and you will be sure to find yourself in inspiring companionship. For someone who knows what they want to do and how to get there, CMU is the perfect place to start and thrive.

It's a great place to be challenged. It opens eyes to a lot of different experiences, and I could not imagine a better place for me.

CMU is definitely a very challenging institution, but it's well worth it in the end. CMU graduates tend to do very well either with admissions to graduate institutions or with finding jobs right out of graduation. Take your high school's valedictorian, multiply him/her by 5,000, and that pretty much sums up CMU.

A jam-packed, fast-and-furious four years. All programs are very passionate about what they do and their students show it through a commitment to a fairly rigorous courseload. Definitely time to get the well-rounded college experience, though.

It is a brilliant university but academics are tough.
