Jefferson City is a very small town. My friends and I usually just hang out at the Dam near campus and watch movies, or travel into Morristown which is only 15 minutes away. Also, programs on campus set up activities to do on the weekends, during move in week, and finals week.

At the library is a little coffee shop called Java City that's fun to hang at, and little coffee house/diner called the Creek is right down the road from campus, and can be walked to. Also Knoxville and Sevierville are both fairly close to campus and there is no end to entertainment there! Plus there is a lake about ten minutes from here that is very fun.

Jefferson County is a small town, but we are located very close to the beautiful Smoky Mts. and surrounding tourist towns such as Sevierville and Pigeon Forge which both have a variety of activities. On campus though, there is lots to do, you can get involved in clubs which do various activists throughout the year and take mission trips around the world, you can also join a sorority/fraternity and one of my favorites is going to see a movie on the lawn and spreading out a blanket with all my friends and sharing snacks.

Carson-Newman is a Christian college and they take pride in helping the community. One can serve the community by helping out with Habitat for Humanity, the Boys and Girls Club, and other community outreaches. Carson-Newman is also about an hour from bustling Knoxville, Tennessee and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

What i do for fun is either swim, play basketball, play tennis, or play soccer. There is a recreational center on campus that has pool tables and games of all sorts.
