    Branch out of your comfort zone! Join lots of campus organizations because that is a great way to make friends. Start your year off strong academically and don't slack off.

    Apply early (even summer before your senior year is not too early) in order to apply for scholarships - it's quite pricey here. In addition, visit campus and shadow a student.

    If you are looking for on campus jobs try to get here early as most of them will be taken up by upperclassmen early, however they will become available again later during the semester as people get busy with school and other issues.
