Being a science major I have been getting a lot of hands on experience that has helped me a long way. The professors are helpful and really care if you are struggling or missing class. The classes are around 15-20 students for the most part so the professors get to know you on a personal level. As a freshman there is a special program that opens students to different cultures and helps to explore majors if undecided.

Castleton is a small rural liberal arts school. Overall I would rate the school highly. The small community creates a family environment and nearly all of my professors go above and beyond, willing to help on their own time.

» Read Morethe school is pleasant enough but there are lots of hoops you need to jump through to get requirements finished. for example you need to take a soundings class where you pay for credits to attend theater/music/various other productions. i would steer away from attending this school as an out of state student. it is really expensive this way.
