Am learning a lot
Cedarville University has much to offer its students in everything from academics to volunteer ministry opportunities. Its faculty are all top notch, with most having their doctorate in their chosen fields. They are all passionate about teaching and it shows in all the classes. The classes are all very challenging and each student is required to take a Bible minor in addition to their major. I would highly recommend this university to any student looking for a challenge.
Am enjoying being here
The friends you make at Cedarville University are lifelong. The people at Cedarville are of good character and have high morals and values. They are always looking for a good time, but also know when to get their homework done was well. The campus provides plenty of activities to do on the weekends from concerts involving well known Christian artists, Elliv (a large talent show/spoof award concert), to small student led worship services and concerts. There is also open dorms, Campus Christmas, and the new ALT nights to provide plenty of entertainment.
Bang for the buck
Although Cedarville is on the pricey side as a Christian University, the education received there is worth every penny. Cedarville is ranked first among student satisfaction reports, and from personal experience, I can say that attending this school is well worth the price.
Tips for prospective students
For prospective students, make sure that you get a lot of volunteer and ministry experience. It will help your admission chances greatly. Also, the earlier you submit your application, the earlier they will review your materials. Also, outside scholarships are a must in helping afford Cedarville, so make sure you apply for those as well!
Great for these types of students
Cedarville is great for students who are self motivated or have a high work ethic. Students who are committed Christians will grow in the ministry saturated environment. Students who love to get involved in volunteering or in ministry will find that Cedarville is a great place for that. Cedarville's challenging academic atmosphere is conducive to students wanting to excel in their studies and in life.

Am learning a lot
I am a sophmore this year at Cedarville University studying Biology. Over the past three semesters of studying at Cedarville I have learned so much in my classes. From the professor lecturing, to labs, to small group projects my academic knowledge has increased in ways I never expected. Not only have I been personally challenged in my academics, but I enjoy learning in such an atmosphere.
Am enjoying being here
Not many individuals can say this phrase, I love my college. But I honestly can write you those four words and completely mean it. There are so many aspects of Cedarville University that I enjoy. The campus is spread around a beautiful lake, our facilities are very modern with up-to-date technological equipment, class sizes are small for more personal learning, professors are helpful and truly care about the welfare of their students, opportunities and experiences for future career success are available, and extracurricular activities are always available for those who need to take a break from the academic aspect of college.
Bang for the buck
The cost for tuition and board at Cedarville University each year is about 30,000. The price is costly but what a student gets in return is priceless. A Christ-centered atmosphere, a good education, lifelong friends, career experiences are priceless things that one cannot obtain anywhere and cannot put a price on. Sometimes I wonder myself, Hannah, why do you attend such an expensive school? If you would attend a public university you would not have to work at a part time job and you would not have to struggle to pay for school. Although I do have to work hard to pay for school, I fully believe that the education I receive and the lifelong experiences I am gaining is well worth the sacrifice of hard work. If you could experience a day on the campus of Cedarville University, you would realize that attending this university is well worth the cost.
Tips for prospective students
My first tip to you is while searching for a university to study at is to make a list of all the things you desire in a school. Separate the list into important and necessary qualifications and personal preferences. Once doing so find the university that you will not only be academically challenged at, but one that you will enjoy as well. My second tip to you as a prospective student is to never give up on a dream just because it is too hard or the college of your choice is too expensive. With hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.
Great for these types of students
Cedarville University is a university that attracts students who are willing to learn in a close-knit body of people, willing to be academically challenged, and who are open to learn about a variety of subjects.

Academic Rigor
I cannot believe how much I have learned. The material is presented clearly and any questions are encouraged by the professors. The professors are all very willing to help me grow, not only in the knowledge of my major, but also in my spiritual life.
Am enjoying being here
Although the school is in the middle of a cornfield, there always seems to be something going on. In addition, the friends that I have made are incredible and we have great times simply hanging out! Another great aspect of Cedarville is having chapel everyday. A lot of people do not like the idea of being required to go everyday, but Cedarville brings in really great speakers such as Gianna Jensen, Dannah Gresh, an ex-Mafia member, and DeMaurice Smith, the executive director of the NFL Players Association.
Bang for the buck
Cedarville does give quality classes that are definitely worth the money, but they are a little bit stingy when it comes to handing out scholarships.
Tips for prospective students
Get involved. There are many different orgs and volunteer groups that are amazing. Being involved will also make your transition into college easier because you meet tons of new people!
Great for these types of students
The kinds of students that excel at Cedarville are dedicated, independent, fun-loving, and Christ-centered. :)

Cedarville has been challenging me spiritually in my walk with God, as well as academically. My professors have been teaching me a lot, and just in this first semester of college, my knowledge has definitely increased! I am also learning how to integrate the Bible into all of my classes and assignments.
Am enjoying being here
I love being at Cedarville! It is great to be constantly surrounded by other Christians. The environment here is just wonderful!
Bang for the buck
Yes, there are cheaper Christian schools out there, but I think Cedarville is definitely worth the cost!
Tips for prospective students
Come visit and check out Cedarville for yourself!

Students looking for an academic and spiritual challenge at a sound Christian University.

The faculty of Cedarville University are highly qualified, many of the professors holding doctorates in their field. The class sizes are reasonable, allowing for one-on-one time with the professors, who are both helpful and accommodating to students.
Am enjoying being here
From the very first day you arrive on the CU Campus, students and staff alike welcome you into the 'Ville family! Getting Started Weekend allows freshman and transfer students to get to know each other before the rest of the students body, allowing them to forge important friendships and get used to campus before classes start. The students are friendly and helpful, and they are courteous to both visitors and their peers. With approximately 3,000 students attending Cedarville University, it is a large student body that allows everyone plenty of opportunities to get involved in student organizations (approx. 70+ on campus), student government, and volunteering for events held on site. At the same time there is a family atmosphere and the campus is not excessively large or impersonal.
Bang for the buck
The cost is prohibitively expensive for many students - some cannot come back second semester or are forced to transfer to other schools in order to save money. The school has been improving on this by offering more scholarship dollars to students in the last few years, but this is certainly an on-going struggle. If you can afford to go to Cedarville, it is worth every penny! Great students, competent faculty, and premium facilities make this institution first-class in every way.
Tips for prospective students
Do not be afraid to ask for help or to ask questions of the current students! They are more than happy to answer your concerns or respond to comments that you may have concerning the University. Everyone tends to be very helpful and kind.
Great for these types of students
If you have dreams, if you want the impossible, if you strive for excellence, if you want the best, if you want to succeed, if you want a consistently Judeo-Christian approach to education, then Cedarville is the place for you. The students here are intent on being excellent in whatever they do, and they are passionate about their faith.

Will learn a lot
The classes were amazing!! The professors managed to bring humor into the classroom but also taught stimulating classes. In a music theory class I sat in on, the professor had every student participate in the class. It was amazing!
Will enjoy being here
It has chapel every day of the week, so duh! :) There is a very strong sense of community there that I love and campus is next to a small town and a huge cornfield, so there are two more big points there!
Bang for the buck
It is expensive, but they have pretty good scholarships available.
Tips for prospective students
Stay in Printy Hall if you're a girl!! There is such a sense of community there and you will get to know the girls in your unit and the unit across the bathroom so well, it'll be like having 15 sisters in Christ!
Great for these types of students
Community driven students, Christians, students who love the arts, engineering and nursing students, and those who love small towns.

Am learning a lot
Every class I have attended so far has been really beneficial. Not only is class a good time to learn, but having chapel every single day has a good impact with learning. Almost everything you do you learn a lot.
Am enjoying being here
This is a great environment. The people are always nice and you can talk to pretty much anyone you want. However, being so far away from home is a slight let down for me, but the friends you make here surely make up for it.
Bang for the buck
While it is really expensive, I think the price is worth it. Being a good Christian school that has great teaching and many opportunities is great. They also supply a desktop in every room that has many great programs on it. Overall, despite the price, which most certainly will put you in debt, the opportunities far outweigh the negative aspects.
Tips for prospective students
Be willing to learn, and put yourself out there. If you hole up in your room and don't talk to anyone or slack off, it will be a wast of time and money. Make sure to go to all classes, because even the gen. eds. are difficult enough. Making good friends is essential too, so make sure you find people to hang out with.
Great for these types of students
Outgoing, hard working students will do best here. I am neither, yet I also found myself enjoying the school. It has an environment that really welcomes any type of student, but if you want to do well, you need to make sure to work hard.

The courses that I have taken have challenged me and taught me so much. It has made me a better student and giving me a leg up for when graduate and get a job.

Almost every weekend they have something exciting for you to do. They show new release movies sometimes right on campus. Game nights where you can play laser tag or Wii games. Cedarville is serious when it comes to school work but they know when and how to loosen up and have fun.
Bang for the buck
Cedarville may not be the cheapest school but for what you get for your money it's worth it. They offer the best, the chapel speakers are amazing. They keep it new, current and exciting by switching things up.
Tips for prospective students
Work hard in high school and the transition into college will be less difficult.
Great for these types of students
Cedarville is a great school for people who like to be involved. There is a wide range of extracurricular activities. Cedarville is just the right size that you can always meet new people and still maintain a close group of friends.

Tips for prospective students
When you visit campus, ask admissions if you can sit in on a class in your desired major. Also, if you ever have any questions, CALL THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE. They are super helpful and can direct you to people on campus who can get you answers.
Academic Rigor
Classes are difficult, but well worth your time and money. The professors are very knowledgable about their field, and they are obviously excited about passing this knowledge on to students. To keep your academic scholarship from Cedarville, you have to maintain a minimum of a 3.2 GPA, so you must be willing to work hard.
Dorm Life
Whether you are an introvert and enjoy having some space to yourself, or you love having lots of people all around you, Cedarville has a dorm to fit your needs and wants. The RA's and RD's are super kind and they organize a lot of hall activities to participate in (Think: ice cream runs, movie nights, prayer meetings, corn mazes, etc.)
Food and Dining
Chuck's (the sole dining hall on campus) offers a variety of foods, and even includes a Gluten-Free section. They serve everything from burritos to salads to subs. Ice cream is available any time the dining hall is open (Which, we all know, is the real reason we survived finals week.)
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
If you love Christmas, then Cedarville is for you. Each year, around Christmas, they deck out the Student Center in Christmas decorations and even set up a stinkin' SLIDE that you and your friends can race down. They throw a campus-wide Christmas party, which involves breakfast at midnight, stories from Santa, free t-shirts, and Christmas movies. It's crazy awesome.
Great for these types of students
Cedarville is great for anyone if they love Jesus, are excited to meet unique people from around the world, and are willing to work hard in classes.
Greek Life
No Greek Life on campus! Sorry, y'all!
Campus Safety
Campus safety is just a phone call away 24/7. The parking lots and sidewalks are well-lit, and thefts on campus are very minimal.

Will learn a lot
I have spoken to a few professors there, and past students. By all accounts this is a great school for learning! They have a passion for academics and you learn a lot!
Will enjoy being here
I have visited the campus twice. Both times I was blown away by the friendliness of all (not just the staff.) The atmosphere was very positive and I loved it! They also offer a HUGE range of extracurricular activities that I can't wait to get involved in. Another plus is that they have now begun to use a facebook application that helps you find a roommate, which was super helpful!
Bang for the buck
Although it is a little pricey, I feel very confident that the experience will more than make up for the cost!
Tips for prospective students
Look around, there are a TON of different kinds of colleges out there. Also ask around, people are full of good advice! And make sure you visit campuses once you narrow it down, this really cements which college to chose.
Great for these types of students
Cedarville is a great place for students who are willing to work hard and get involved. It also has a very strong christian environment.
