Around Town

Each hall goes on their own hall events (corn maze, sleep over, bowling, cardinals game) and when going out with friends for fun the best things to do are to go to Jordan Valley Park (they have fountains and it's free), go to a movie (either Hollywood theater or the Palace), basketball games, volleyball games, and there is a game room by Zee's where one can play pool, carpet ball, or various other board games.

There is the gym where each night a big group of guys go down and play basketball. Getting involved with a local youth group and helping out is really fun. It is also a great learning experience. Many hang out in the dorms and play video games and watch movies. There is a zoo right down the street from campus and the fair grounds right across the street.

The city of Springfield, MO is great for all sorts of things. There is a great mall in town. Bass Pro shops is super cool! There are tons of things to do in the city. There are at least 2 other Universities in the city so there are students and activities everywhere.

The school offers a gym, and outside basket ball court for those that are interested in playing. The school has a tennis court, racquetball court, and a pond for fishing.

There are several coffee shops around the area with a variety of different venues. There is also an ice skating rink, a roller skating rink, a few movie theaters, and several parks.

There are many different things that you can do for fun. You can always go fishing, there is a small pond on campus and there fishing tournaments close by. But getting to go out and fellowship and minister on the weekends is always an awesome experience.
