Around Town

There are many things to do for fun around campus, and even off campus. On campus, there are many clubs and student organizations available to join. Also, there are a lot of events that happen year round. Off campus there are awesome shopping opportunities. Downtown is a fun place to hang out and shop or eat. If you're not into shopping, Central is right next to the Chippewa river. There are places to rent kayaks and canoes. There are also great places to fish all around Mount Pleasant.

Sports, social groups, academic groups, shopping, etc. Pretty much whatever you are into, it is available near Mt. Pleasant.

There are many things on and off campus that you can do for fun, you just have to find the things you like to do. There is a Student Activity Center on south campus that is basically a usual rec center. (pool, gym for working out, ball courts). Big name concerts from time to time, athletic events, dorm events, polar plunge and many many places to volunteer. Off campus there is a club, bowling alley, ice skate rink and movie theater.

Go to events on campus, meet new people wherever you go, visit Wayside at least once.

There's not a whole lot to do in mount pleasant unless you have a car. There's of course the casino, there's a movie theater, bowling lanes etc. The student activity center is usually pretty fun. Most residence halls will have events going on throughout the year.

Stay active! The SAC is a great place, excellent equipment. There are all kinds of weekly classes and things like that.

There are many restaurants and bowling. There is also a recreation center on campus that is nice and a real peaceful library

There are plenty of events that are showcased on campus. Each week there are different movies that they show free of charge. There are also speakers that come to talk about different events, topics, and diversity. Sporting events are also frequent and free of charge.

There is a wide variety of organizations to join, and there is no shortage of a party scene if that's what you want.
