“Keep a positive attitude about your living arrangements, and you'll find when you meet your roommates, 9 times out of 10 you'll like them. DO make sure you set rules…”
“if you get a cool ra on your floor then you'll be fine!…”
“you have to learn to get along and compromise with different sorts of people. keep your door open when you are there and you meet a lot of new friends.…”
“a bit expensive but the people are loving inside the dorms.…”
“you make so many great friends, and meet so many nice people.…”
Mount Pleasant has the best food and dining. There are many local restaurants which have awesome food for cheap. On campus, there are many opportunities available to grab a quick snack. The food courts have awesome variety of foods everyday. Shushi, burgers, pizza, pasta, basically anything you can think of. It isn't that expensive, and it definitely tastes better than my moms cooking.
» Read MoreFood is good on campus and food is also available off campus.
» Read MoreYou are provided an option of a certain number of meals you get per week (Meal Plan) which also comes with $250 to spend around campus (Flex dollars). I chose the 14 a week meal plan which I found to be quite a lot and I have yet to use all of them up in a week. They renew each week so you go back to your original selection of meals every Sunday. The cafeterias on campus are awesome! Breakfast: made to order omelets and smoothies and all (all I can think of) other breakfast items. Lunch and dinner: variety of options in many areas including vegetarian. Well clean and well run. Awesome staff.
» Read MoreI like the cafeterias, but I haven't been to the one on north campus yet. They have a great variety of food bit it gets old after a while because they serve the same things a few times a month in some cases. There's usually something you can find worth eating.
» Read MoreCampus food is cafeteria food, its ok. Local are has some decent restaurants.
» Read MoreThe food is good, but I wasn't used to all the choices. You need to pace yourself, I didn't eat very good my first year and gained a considerable amount of weight.
» Read MoreThe cafeteria is one of my favorite parts about living in the dorms. For the most part there are a lot of different options each day. The majority of the food is cooked in front of you, and is healthier than most options that a person would get just going to a fast food restaurant. For the amount of money that you pay to eat in the dorms you are getting plenty of choices.
» Read MoreGreat selections, I never had any complaints.
» Read MoreRFOC is awesome! It was recently redone, with a mongolian style cook.
» Read MoreThe Towers residential restaurant and Celani residential dinning area is the best on campus. The two remaining are pretty average.
» Read MoreI am not a member of any greek life organizations, but I see them all around campus. There are many opportunities for any person looking to get in to any sorority or fraternity.
» Read MoreMany different sororities and fraternities available to join. Some are related to certain professions, some high honors and others just normal.
» Read MoreI cant even count how many different sororities and fraternities are on campus, but there plenty.
» Read MoreNot a fan, personally.
» Read MoreThere is a strong group of Fraternities available and their locations are just right off campus...easy walk to class
» Read MoreGreek Life has been one of the best decisions in my time at CMU. It has given me the opportunity to meet so many people with the same values as myself, and has also encouraged me to get involved on campus as well as the community. If you're looking for a great way to meet people, volunteer, and raise money for great causes this could be an amazing opportunity for you.
» Read MoreThere are many fraternities and sororities at CMU all of which are worth checking out.
» Read MoreI am part of a professional music fraternity and I love every second of it. The typical social fraternity/ sorority is still an option for those who are looking to make bonds of friendship and social connections more than professional connections and friends, but I don't know as much about it except check out Main St and Washington.
» Read MoreChecked it out, not my thing, but I have friends that love it
» Read MoreThey always put up different programs that helps the people at Central. The Greek Life always put up good things for community.
