Go in with a plan, the staff don't do well with degree changes and individualized class schedules. Also, make sure to double check what classes the advisers pick for you. Three times I have been told my current schedule was wrong, or that I needed classes which I really didn't. Do your homework--both before and after you get in. By this I mean check and see if you qualify for any scholarships--I got the Presidential Scholarship (which paid for tuition) and I wouldn't have if my Mom hadn't suggested me to see if I qualified. And also, once you start taking classes, do your the homework that is assigned to you. There is no easier way to get an A. Most professors want to see you get an A and they even want to help you. But you have to show some initiative.
