Great for these types of students

Chandler-Gilbert Community College is great for students who need the extra attention and very flexible hours.

    Tips for prospective students

Try to be involved as much as you can, it is easy to drift off from your studies and fall behind.

    Bang for the buck

I definitely think that for just your core classes like English and math, start at a community college; the information is the same for much cheaper.

    Am enjoying being here

Classes are enjoyable, the campus is nice and organized, and people are friendly.

    Am learning a lot

Very small classes compared to a university and easy to connect with your professor.

Great for these types of students

Chandler-Gilbert is great for students who cannot afford a university, enjoy smaller class sizes, and students who value a relaxed learning environment. Chandler-Gilbert also supplies students with free access to the library and all their resources, which is great!

    Tips for prospective students

Do not miss class, be attentive while in class, constantly check the school website for homework, complete all homework assignments. Set aside time each day to complete homework and studying and to prepare for the next day at school.

Great for these types of students

Chandler Gilbert is a great college for any type of student. There offer great help in any area needed. There is always a learning center filled with tutors eager to help students achieve better grades. This college also offers various services that are useful for all students. Financial Aid, Flexible class schedules, a great library, and a great staff of professors that help students get their moneys worth of education.

    Tips for prospective students

The advice I give to students is to focus on school and don't take breaks from school. As expensive as college is these times there is always finance help whether it is through FAFSA or grants, loans, or even scholarships. Its easier to continue college right after High School and get it done! However, if you are someone who took a break and realized its time to go back focus and always give your best because your never to old to learn new things that can improve the way you live. If you have more education you will be more successful.

    Bang for the buck

I really think that every dollar that is spent at Chandler Gilbert is worth it. The campus is clean, friendly, and comfortable. The education offered is great and it has even been said that it is a bit better than a big universities classes because the classes are smaller and there is more time for one on one questions and help. It is also a great place to get a great college experience there is a great diversity of students and there is always fun events to attend to and meet new people.

    Am enjoying being here

Chandler Gilbert Community college has an awesome campus. It has many places to go and have a good study period or to go and meet new friends. There are always student events that are very fun and always offer a new experience.

    Am learning a lot

I have currently been enrolled for two semesters at Chandler Gilbert Community College and I am going into my third semester at this college. I can honestly say that I have walked out of every class learning new material that will help me in the future. Every class I have taken is very informative and the professors are great. Like every college sometimes it can get a little challenging but who says that a challenge makes a person smarter.

Great for these types of students

Anyone who isn't sure about their major or those who don't have one yet. People who want to finish their prerequisites on a budget, or those who need an associates degree to get into a University.

    Tips for prospective students

Come and visit the campus, meet some student ambassadors, see how you like it. (Beware the cafeteria mac n cheese)

    Bang for the buck

I really feel like I made a good decision by going to CGCC. The classes are cheaper then at a University but the teachers are just as good.

    Am enjoying being here

The college has a small town feel to it. Because its so small you see people you know almost everywhere you go which is nice. The campus is beautiful and clean, and I LOVE the library!

    Am learning a lot

My teachers have all been very helpful and seem to genuinely care about their students. Classes are small which makes learning easier for me, i feel more comfortable in a small classroom environment.

Great for these types of students

I would say that this school is great for a wide range of students. The school offers the tools needed in order to help any type of student along their way. The only thing the student really has to bring to campus is a can-do attitude and a want or need to pass the class.

    Tips for prospective students

The biggest tip that I would give to a prospective student is sign up for classes, and get any advisement you need done early. Often the administration office gets crowded with last minute needs and classes can fill up rather fast so staying on top of deadlines and time management is extremely important.

    Bang for the buck

The school has been very helpful with my financial needs and they make it very easy to obtain and maintain scholarships and financial aid. I know several people at the school who are also on scholarship or financial aid and the advisers on campus do whatever they can when you first enter campus to make sure that you are able to handle the financial burden. Also, the college has several payment plans and they have equal opportunity, on campus jobs that can come in handy while looking for a little extra book money.

    Am enjoying being here

I do wish that, academically, the school was more challenging but the atmosphere and the programs and extra curricular activities that are offered at the school are enjoyable. There are always plenty of events that students can attend either for enjoyment or to broaden their horizons in the academic and real world.

    Am learning a lot

Although I believe the work load could be more extensive I enjoy the fact that the teachers give the students the tools to learn, and let the students decide what they want to get out of the course. I personally am studying an area that's more practice on technique than quantity of what you can learn so my personal learning is a bit limited but in some of my elective classes I have learned things that have even given me a new perspective on certain aspects of life.

    Bang for the buck

chandler-gilbert community college has by far given the most welcoming, warm experience i have had at any school that i have ever been to until now. the advisers and staff is caring and truly makes an effort to make sure you are getting everything you can while attending.

    Food and Dining

the food at cgcc is surprisingly delicious, though it isn't cheap. however, if you can find cheap food at a college, let me know. so far i haven't had any luck!

    Dorm Life

seeing as there are no dorms present on the cgcc campus, there are many alternatives to living with parents. there are many apartments that are nearby. houses are also in a controllable range for those with money issues.

    Academic Rigor

the teachers tend to expect students to exceed. most teachers are more than willing to help out with anything that comes up, be it family issues or work scheduling. the teachers are helpful and truly take an interest in what problems you have with learning in their class.

    Tips for prospective students

the best thing to do at this school is get involved. student life, student leadership, clubs and organizations have so much to offer, whether it be gaining or giving support. once involved in school projects, success is a given.

    In three sentences

chandler-gilbert community college is a well rounded school with many different opportunities. it has a wonderful leadership and student based help program and it has a student life group that helps many different people. overall, cgcc is a school that nearly anyone could attend and create a support system for themselves.

library is a good way to meet people that are like-minded and intrested in what you are.

    Food and Dining

too expensive! holy guacoamole it's rediculous.

    Dorm Life

    none.

    Academic Rigor

the rigor is not too labor intensive, but requires actual studying and attention that needs to be payed to work in your classes. the teachers challenge students to do the best work they can.

    Tips for prospective students

take cources that interest you as an individual. there is nothing worse than sitting in a class that you aren't engaged in. find classes that suit you and your learning needs and that spark your intrest.

    In three sentences

rather than sit in a lecture hall with 500 students, unable to get your questions answered or voice heard, chandler gilbert gives students an opportunity to get a hands on education with personal attention. chandler gilbert has teachers that are enthusiastic about their work and motivate students to persue to their own interest. the atmosphere is friendly, safe, and suitable for any type of individual.

Great for these types of students

    None.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

In the middle of no where with no dorms or places to eat.

    Bang for the buck

It is not worth the thousands of dollars they are charging students to take classes and buy books. Their classes are also non-transferable to other colleges and force you to take classes that you don't need to graduate.

    What to do for fun

    Nothing.

    Food and Dining

The food is alright but it over charged and cost a lot more then it should. It would be cheaper to bring your own lunch.

    Dorm Life

There are no dorms at this college.

    Academic Rigor

No teacher will take your education seriously, you will end up teaching yourself everything from the book. They offer no help or tutoring if you are stuggling.

    Tips for prospective students

Be prepared to teach yourself everything and get no aid to pay for your classes or your over charged books.

    In three sentences

No teacher will take your education seriously, you will end up teaching yourself everything from the book. Financial aid is impossible to receive and getting the right supplies like books will be over charged and out dated. Teachers and staff are extremely rude and are known for harassing their students.

    Tips for prospective students

You must study and do homework to do well in classes. Be on time and do your work. Get to know your professors and ask questions if you need help.

Community college is definitely the place to go if you are looking to save money. There are many different scholarships offered and there are some jobs available on campus.

    Am enjoying being here

Great for these types of students

    Music, Medical, Business, Communications.

    Tips for prospective students

Any student unsure of his/her next step must certainly consider community college. For me, CGCC was a 30 mile drive to and from everyday, but worth every cent. Be steadfast and proficient in your studies, and yearn to excel. Teachers have more flexible schedules, and music majors are never without in terms of opportunities to grow!

    Bang for the buck

As stated above, this school is very well situated in its music program. I was also able to experience classes outside of this world,' and found the quality of the teachers to be beyond exceptional. The classes are small, just like most community colleges, but you find yourself better equipped with the information taught, and how to be practically able.

    Did enjoy being here

I spent most of my time as a student, as I was involved with full-time ministry and two jobs as well. However, the student life is exceptional, and as the program builds, the music teachers encourage growth with one another.

    Did learn a lot

One of the diamonds-in-the-rough when it comes to music programs. incredibly, it is still a growing, and certainly thriving, degree program that is under incredible directors. I was involved with the Vocal Music program for most of my time there, and began as a very basic singer. After my time, I received incredible training that allowed me to place, and rewarded, within certain competitions, as well as excel as a pianist.

Great for these types of students

If a smaller setting that is more oriented toward teacher-student communication is suitable for a student, Chandler-Gilbert offers great classes without overcrowding, thus keep communication an option between instructor and student.

    Tips for prospective students

Socially, there are many clubs on campus to join where on can find a sense of community and make friends that will prove helpful in the college experience from an educational point as well. Financially, I have found that it's a good idea to hold out on buying books until the instructor tells you whether you even need it or not.

    Bang for the buck

College is never cheap, but in spite of the ever-increasing prices this school has a lot to offer for the cost.

    Am enjoying being here

The campus is very active, offering many clubs and frequent events to participate in as well as a high quality tutoring center staffed by knowledgeable individuals.

    Am learning a lot

At Chandler-Gilbert, it seems to be hit or miss with the class quality. In some classes, content is based on very applicable information while others feel like a review of things learned in high school which proved just as useless then.

Great for these types of students

Students who are looking for a more affordable option to then transfer to a university at a later time.

    Tips for prospective students

Ensure you schedule your classes at times that work for you! If your not a morning person, don't schedule a class at 7AM. Ensure that you speak with an advisor on classes to take so you are taking what you need to take and not wasting time on things that don't benefit your degree. Probably the most important aspect is show up to class, so many students show up to class and to me that is mind boggling, if you paying to go to school, show up!

    Bang for the buck

The price is ok, I am currently considered out of state so I am being charged quite a lot. For those of you who are in state this school is a great deal, and I am looking forward to being in state so I can benefit from the good pricing. With that said, the out of state tuition is absolutely ridiculous.

    Am enjoying being here

The campus is very clean, well kept, and enjoyable to be at. I commute to school about 20 miles everyday and while it is a bit of a distance, apart of why I am comfortable with the drive is the feel of the school. The school its-self is a modern feeling environment that has been well kept. The staff is pretty helpful with information you may need along the way. All around it is a very good environment.

    Am learning a lot

I have found my experience here at Chandler Gilbert to be a beneficial situation. I have learned more in the subjects I have taken and have been challenged in a much more valuable way then high school. Chandler Gilbert is a great place to start before entering a major university.

    Campus Safety

surprisingly good. the campus security have their own building and make regular patrols. not that any of it is needed, but its always nice to know your not completely alone at night.

    Greek Life

...... non exist-ant. The students have a wide age gap from one another. the ones really wanting to party find themselves sneaking on to another campus, while the others go out to bars and dance clubs in other towns. we may be in the middle of two cities but we are still a ways away from anywhere exciting.

    Clubs and Activities

The club are plenty, and they are all active. I have seen to many school that have tried to start clubs but are soon finding themselves with only a hand full of members resulting in the club's demise. Here there are plenty of active club members and all of them have different activities. They do need to get out of the back rooms more for we hardly see any of them except for the bi annual chill and grill and a few random information tables.

Great for these types of students

Students who are planning to go to university, but are still not ready to go right away, or need to save a little more money before making the jump. Students interested in dance, art, music and athletics can learn a lot at this school without the pressure of competing in a make it or break it atmosphere. And its great for student who don't know their where they are going in life and just want to get their general learning in before they decide.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

They have a chill and grill in the student center every semester. You can see all the clubs in one building on that day while enjoying a free lunch. However that seems to be the only time you see all the clubs together in one place. I hear they are planning to fix that.

    Bang for the buck

I don't understand this question. If its about money then Cgcc is like any community college. Its perfect for students just starting out. Tuition isn't too bad for people who take residence in Arizona. Its centered between towns so depending on where you work and live you could have an easy drive to both.

    What to do for fun

There are A LOT of clubs you can join, many of them open up the possibility of making new friends. The student center has a great feeling to it and has TVs and ping pong tables for everyone to enjoy. Depending on the clubs there will be different events on campus. There was even a volleyball challenge between clubs.

    Food and Dining

They have a few different places to eat, and one coffee shop. Not much of a variety and the prices are almost not worth it. If you have a car, i'd be better you go down the street to the plaza were there are a few choices of fast food.

    Dorm Life

    there are no dorms.

    Academic Rigor

There are some difficulties in the math department, however the freedom seems to give everyone the room they need to try out new ways of learning. Currently they are putting the final touches on their hybrid classes, which seem to work for students who need the convenience of online classes, but need the consistency of weekly classes.

    Tips for prospective students

Pay attention to the people around you. They are just as much your teachers as the professors themselves are. And weather you know it or not your teaching everyone else as well. Its a school of constant trading of knowledge, and the school grows with you as you progress.

    In three sentences

Chandler Gilbert Community Is very open and considerate of everyone attending. There is a wide variety of views held by student, and teachers, expressed in full force, but is contained enough to keep the peace. Its a wonderful start for students who are looking to express and widen their views of the world.

    What to do for fun

There are plenty of clubs to get involved with on campus. At the student center there are lots of games you can play. Also at the performing arts center there are a variety of shows to see regularly.

    Food and Dining

The coffee cart had nice options and was relatively cheap. I didn't honk the coyote cafe that great. There are plenty of vending machines around school and you can pay with card or cash.

    Dorm Life

There were dorms at the Williams Field campus but I lived at home.

    Academic Rigor

Each class varied. I thought some classes had hard homework other classes had practically none. It all depends on the teacher.

    Tips for prospective students

As a incoming freshman, I suggest, plan every semester you have before starting. I would have the classes you would like to have written down and make sure to have them fulfil your requirements. I would look for classes that count as more than one designation that way you have less classes to take and spend less money.

    In three sentences

This school was a great choice for someone not ready for a university type setting and huge class sizes. Chandler-Gilbert was affordable and allowed me to complete my associates in different ways. However, I found the advisement not helpful for properly planning my semester course load and didn't share all the knowledge you need to know.

    Campus Safety

Campus Safety is very reliable. When walking around campus there is always a campus safety employee there if you were to need them. In my time at this school I was not in need of help from them.

    Greek Life

    None that I know of.

    Clubs and Activities

Personally I have not participated in any of the clubs that are offered. However, I do know there are numerous groups you can join and be involved with.

    Food and Dining

There is a small cafeteria and one coffee cart on campus. They both have lots of choices. The location of campus is very convenient because there are tons of off campus dining locations near by.

    Dorm Life

No dorms at the Pecos campus. I have heard there are dorms at the Williams' campus but have never seen them.

    Academic Rigor

The academic rigor depends on the class and instructor you have. I have been academically successful in my time at this school. I feel that the majority of the instructors want you to succeed and will help you any way you need it. There are tutoring labs available to assist you if you need additional help.

    Tips for prospective students

Always sign up for classes immediately after they open. This will help you get the classes and instructors that you want. Look up the teachers online to see what other students have said about the way they teach. The first few weeks of classes make sure you get there early because parking is typically difficult for the first little bit. Look to purchase or rent your textbooks online they are typically much cheaper than the bookstore.

    Campus Safety

I have never felt unsafe while on campus in the 2 years I have attended. Plenty of security guards roam around campus grounds including the parking lots. Also the Campus Safety building is centrally located and students are welcome inside if they have questions, etc.

    Greek Life

Only Greek life group I know about is the honors club Phi Theta Kappa. This club provides many scholarships opportunities to those students who will eventually transfer to a 4 year.

    Clubs and Activities

Many different clubs or organizations meet at both campus' to fit the interests of majority of the students.

Great for these types of students

Any student looking to transfer to a 4 year university or gain an associates degree. Also its a good school to attend to save some money and not gain a large amount of debt.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

I personally enjoy spending time in the Pecos campus library. It is huge and provides the perfect atmosphere for me to study effectively. Also there are plenty of resources available to gather sources for projects or learn new material.

    Bang for the buck

Yes, good scholarships are available and you can save money on classes before racking up debt at a 4 year university.

    What to do for fun

A lot of student clubs and events on campus. Many of my teachers offer extra credit if you go attend speakers or events on campus. They are always enjoyable!

    Food and Dining

    Good choices and reasonable prices.

    Dorm Life

I live at home, which helps me save money. I am close to both the Williams and Pecos campus' so I have no reason to spend money on student housing. However, Williams campus does offer student housing and I have only heard good things from those living there.

    Academic Rigor

You are challenged by your teachers, but only so you will learn and understand the material.

    Tips for prospective students

Attend Chandler Gilbert to save some money! There are a lot of scholarships available and classes are reasonably priced so you can get your credits to either gain a degree or transfer to a 4 year university.

    In three sentences

Chandler Gilbert is a great start for a newly graduated high school student. I am receiving my Associates degree this May, 2 years after graduating, and I am continuing my education at ASU this fall. The classes are the perfect size to meet new people but you still get plenty of attention from the teacher.

I believe that Chandler Gilbert makes it a simple transfer from High School to college. Chandler Gilbert is a slight difference from high school to college, but it prepares you for the transfer to a university. Just one year there has changed me into a better student.

GREAT JOB for both ASU and CGCC

    Clubs and Activities

The Arts Department has been a huge enjoyment. It opens us up to network with other talents around the state and meet people that have already swam this race.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

I was surprised to see a condom party going on in the courtyard of MCC. I am proud that the school takes the time to care and reach to help prevent irresponsible sex. It was dealt with in good taste where I almost brought my 18 year old to attend also. Good job.

    Bang for the buck

I have truly valued my time at the junior college level. I am excited about continuing my education on to ASU.

    What to do for fun

I have spent the majority of my time studying. I love to fish and spend time with my kids.

    Food and Dining

The food has always been descent and affordable. Thank you

    Dorm Life

I actually live at ASU housing. I love it. I have two teen children that reside with me and we feel extremely safe here day and night. I wish there was a little more places a 15 year old could join but other than that, this has been a wonderful experience.

    Academic Rigor

Overall the work was great. I truly enjoyed having knowledge surrounding me and being allowed to space to experiment with my learning skills. It was a tough and humbling semester for me and I continued to grow and develop my skills. I had one instructor which was extremely confusing as she attempted to teach the students new information. I found that we joined together and were able to resolve issues by teaming up and reevaluating problems together. One instructor was very passionate about what she was teaching but it had nothing to do with the subject matter of the class. I found the class very interesting and it has opened my eyes to issues I never looked at before in History it just was not the history I had signed up for. The school is young, just has some bumps to smooth out.

    Tips for prospective students

Be prepared to research your own questions for answers. Instructors very nice for the most part just don't seem to have their heart in it anymore. Take responsibility for yourself, as you should for any school you attend. This facility gives you very open range to learn all that you can if you put the work into it.

    In three sentences

The parking at this school is wonderful. You are always near your classes. I feel that many of the teachers here are worn out on instructing. They simply are not very excited about teaching anymore nor answering questions.

I rated the campus safety 5 out of 5 stars, due to the fact that there is a wide variety of security always within view or close by. Whether this be security or actual police officers. They not only patrol the campus itself by the classrooms, but also the parking lot.

    Greek Life

There is an honors society available called Phi Theta Kappa. You must be an honors full time student to be considered.

    Clubs and Activities

I rate this 3 out of 5, because I have not joined any yet, but I do know the school offers many clubs as well as athletics for males and females.

This is a great alternative to students that can not afford to attend a university, or who want a vocational degree. The cost to attend is very affordable, and most students graduate with an associates degree.

    What to do for fun

    Food and Dining

I would have to give dining and food a 4 out 5, because I did not get a chance to eat, but I did walk into the school lunch area to get some juice. The staff (students) were friendly, upbeat, and the service was quick.

    Dorm Life

I can only give 3 stars out of 5 due to the fact, that I live off campus. I have seen the dorms from the outside, and they look great. I do know that there is parking, for I have to drive by the dorms to get to class and admin offices.

    Academic Rigor

I have to vote 3 out of 5 stars, for i have not yet attended any classes but will be soon. My schedule is very full with 14 units, but looks very promising. The school does offer Honors classes, Honors option classes, and regular classes as well.

Joining in clubs around campus is a great way to get to know new people and be involved in the school. Just because it is a community college doesn't mean fun activities aren't going on around campus. Take part and it makes the experience that much more.

    Food and Dining

The food in Coyote Cafe is amazing. If you need breakfast or lunch between classes it's great, just a little pricey.

    Dorm Life

Join a club! The clubs on campus are great and the more you get involved the more you learn actually, which is great and works out to your benefit nicely in the long run!

    Food and Dining

    Tips for prospective students

Really make sure to double check on Rate my professor before just picking any teacher. Rate my professor seems to be very true to it's ratings as I've seen, and you'll want the best teachers you can get! Also make sure that the week before classes you are checking your student email (if it is not forwarded to your normal email) and black board. Many teachers send out welcome messages and some messages on how to prepare for your first day in their class.

This school has a pretty and clean campus. Most teachers here are very awesome, they teach you a lot of valuable information in different subject, you will almost never feel like you are wasting your time on campus (unless you picked one of the few bad teachers). Another great plus to this school is the free tutoring center that helps you get through those tough classes.

    Food and Dining

They have a small cafeteria with many food options, although there are far more snacks than anything else. It isn't a good idea to try to live off of the Cafe menu, however, as there isn't an abundance of main courses to live off of. Nonetheless, it still is decent food.

    Dorm Life

There aren't any dorms on campus--it's a Community College--but it isn't a bad place to spend the day.

    Academic Rigor

It isn't difficult if you do your homework on time. I've been at CGCC for over 4 semesters, and as long as you don't get behind, the schoolwork isn't too demanding.

    Tips for prospective students

Do your homework--both before and after you get in. By this I mean check and see if you qualify for any scholarships--I got the Presidential Scholarship (which paid for tuition) and I wouldn't have if my Mom hadn't suggested me to see if I qualified. And also, once you start taking classes, do your the homework that is assigned to you. There is no easier way to get an A. Most professors want to see you get an A and they even want to help you. But you have to show some initiative.

    In three sentences

Chandler-Gilbert Community College is a nice place to get your AA Degree. It is so much cheaper to get your Associates Degree at a Community College, and then to transfer over to a University to complete your degree. Chandler-Gilbert is both enjoyable and affordable.

At least once a semester there are barbeques in front of the student center during the warmer months, and occasionally art students will have their work set up for viewing. I've heard that ping-pong in the student center gets pretty intense, too.

There is a cafeteria which sells Papa John's personal pizzas as well as other tasty things, but it's a little expensive. There is also a snack stand that has some delicious muffins and coffee.

    Dorm Life

Great for these types of students

Community college is great for students who aren't sure what they want to major in because it lets you get your general education requirements out of the way on your own schedule. It's also great for students who just want to save money, regardless of whether or not they know their desired career path.

    Bang for the buck

Now that I've graduated Chandler-Gilbert with my associates degree, I'm transferring to Grand Canyon University. Most of my credits are transferring over, so I really saved myself a lot of money by attending community college first.

    Food and Dining

Chandler-Gilbert has a few food options: they have a coffee cart, a cafeteria, and many vending machines placed throughout campus. You basically have everything you need at school, and you'll always be able to grab a snack or meal between classes if you need to.

    Dorm Life

To my knowledge, Chandler-Gilbert does not have dorms. However, they do have a lot of great clubs and activities going on all the time that have the purpose of connecting students during their time at the college. I participated in an online literary magazine, and it was a great experience and chance to interact with my fellow students.

    Academic Rigor

As with any college, academic rigor is really based on the professor. I had classes with difficult assignments and classes with easy assignments. The most important thing to remember is that you never know how difficult a class will be until you're in it, so go into each class with the expectation that you're going to work hard and then you won't be surprised if you have to.

    Tips for prospective students

Especially if Chandler-Gilbert will be your first college experience, remember to wait to purchase your books until the first day of class or until talking to your teacher. A lot of teachers don't use the textbooks very often but are still obligated to require them. If your teacher doesn't end up using the book, then you will have saved a lot of money.

    In three sentences

Chandler-Gilbert Community College is a great place to start your secondary education if you want to save money. You will be receiving the same quality of education that you would at a public university, but with greatly reduced tuition. Most credits will transfer, and it will definitely pay off in the long run.

There are security guards and surveillance cameras hidden throughout the campus. there is rarely any violence and always people watching your cars and other property.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

There aren't any traditions that i am aware of.

    Bang for the buck

For only about $5,000 i will have obtained my associates degree. This so much better than what it would be at ASU or any other 4-year university.

    What to do for fun

There are a lot of extracurricular activities available for people to have fun. there music concerts, clubs to join, art displays, and a lot of other fun stuff to do!

    Clubs and Activities

We have various clubs and activities to get involved in. It only requires the student to be fully interested and ready to attend the fun that awaits!

Great for these types of students

This school is great for students who are willing to work-hard. For the students just starting out their first year in college. Most importantly this college is superb for those students who still have an undecided major, which is perfectly fine and CGCC is here to help guide you and lead you in the right path.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

There is not any unusual traditions or locations on campus.

    Bang for the buck

The tuition is amazing needless to say. Students should all take as many classes possible and fit into your busy schedule because you can not find these prices at a university. Take advantage while you can, and I want to point out that if there is ever a problem financially or a question about a class and what to take our CGCC student advisors are always ready to help out in any way. CGCC is here for you to stay and will guide you to succeed.

    What to do for fun

Chandler-Gilbert has student life activities. I highly encourage every student attending to get involved with the school. Whether you attend a basketball game or attend a game night or even join a club everyone should partake in at least one activity just for the experience and memories you will never get back.

    Food and Dining

One thing that I love about Chandler-Gilbert Community is that the food is fantastic. I mean, what kind of college student doesn't love food? CGCC also has the most friendly staff out there, they will make you feel right at home.

    Dorm Life

At chandler-gilbert we offer dorm life to out of state students. Fortunately, CGCC has two campuses the main campus is at the Pecos location, while the other is the Williamsfield location. Being that this is a community college you will still get that high school vibe.

    Academic Rigor

Don't let the term community in community college fool you! Yes it is a community college, but just know the academic rigor is the same as a university's. Arizona State University professors are here on campus teaching at CGCC and they're giving the same workload along with the same criteria out to all students. Depending on the type of class you choose to enroll in will vary with the academic rigor. It is college, expect to come prepared, to do countless assignments, and study on your free time all while keeping a smile on your face.

    Tips for prospective students

Students who are wanting to come and enroll here at CGCC, I highly recommend you to come with an open mind and ready to learn! College classes are only one semester long, only one semester to get through and study hard to get those outstanding grades especially if you are interested into transferring in the future.

    In three sentences

Chandler-Gilbert Community College has definitely been a great place to start off my college journey. There are numerous students out there who believe that a community college is nothing in comparison to a university. I am here to say that a community college is just as good especially enrolled at Chandler-Gilbert.

Great for these types of students

Students who just want to take it easy for awhile and have a similar atmosphere of high school would enjoy the school.

    Bang for the buck

Some classes I think paid off more than others. While other classes were not worth the time and money.

    Food and Dining

The cafeteria has a lot of options but pricing could be better.

    Dorm Life

I haven't stayed in the dorms or been into one at Chandler Gilbert.

    Academic Rigor

The teachers I have had so encourage students to do their best but don't actually give us the push to want to do more.

    Tips for prospective students

When applying and attending college it is okay to not know what you want to be when you're older. You're still a teenager and shouldn't have to make big life decisions yet. Take your time and figure out what you want to do and don't just pick any major or else you will most likely not enjoy it and will be miserable. Find what your passionate about then pick your major.

    In three sentences

Chandler Gilbert Community College hasn't met my needs as a student. They are disorganized and don't offer the help needed. Chandler Gilbert isn't a college I would recommend.

    In three sentences

I think it is a top of the line Community College, and various students should consider going there. It is not living up to my college expectations, I pictured it to be bigger and everything to be more difficult. It is a good stepping stone right now for the next college I'm planning to attend.

It depends a lot on the teacher but since it is community college most of the classes are relatively easy and have a small workload.
