Categories Comments Great for these types of students this school is perfect for freshmen that aren't quite ready for the big campus at universities. If you are a single parent and need flexible schedules. A second chance to prove you can make it.
Tips for prospective students If you are looking for a school that's big on learning but a welcoming atmosphere i recommend a tour a chat field.
Bang for the buck Its a lot cheaper than my previous school and they teach every minute of class which is what we pay for.
Am enjoying being here The school is such a warm place you feel like you are apart of a family not just a student.
Am learning a lot This school offers classes that other schools don't. I took a phonics class this summer that was wonderful. My area of study is Early childhood education and this class taught us how to teach children to read using phonics. I've never been to a school that dedicated a class to any specific subject I just love it.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Chatfield is great for students who like a very personalized education.
What to do for fun There are lots of events student government hosts within the year.
Academic Rigor Chatfield has amazing professors that will make sure students are performing to their fullest potential. Classes are usually very fast paced, but the professors will easily work to make sure the syudents are keeping up.
Tips for prospective students One of the biggest frustrations with Chatfield is that since it is a such a small school their are limited class options and days of availability.
In three sentences Chatfield College is perfect for a small intimate college setting. Chatfield is mainly centered around non-traditional and PSEO students. The staff at Chatfield are outstanding, and are focused on making sure you succeed.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There is NO campus safety, it is a major liability. It does not matter how much you ask the dean, office managers, maintenance, and groundskeeper nothing ever gets done about this.
Clubs and Activities There is Student Government, but you have to be nominated, and the adult students usually push themselves into office. Then they act like they are in high school, and trying to relive their glory days...take my advice and keep to yourself, and do NOT get involved with ANYONE!
Great for these types of students Most of the students are either PSEO or adults, and neither get along well. High school students from Fayetteville are more than immature, and the adults are catty women.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Catholicism is all over the campus.
Bang for the buck For a private college it is pretty affordable, but compared to state colleges they are very expensive.
What to do for fun Tennis courts are there if you have some downtime between classes, but you have to bring your own equipment and the office ladies have to give you permission to play. So, basically bring your laptop and entertain yourself.
Food and Dining There are vending machines, but I have never seen more expensive ones - $1.25 for a candy bar that you could buy for 50 cents!! If you want to actually eat a meal you will have to go to Fayetteville, Mt. Orab, or Blanchester.
Dorm Life No dorms, every student commutes.
Academic Rigor Some professors will push you further than you ever thought you would be able to go, and others will just have you show up...
Tips for prospective students Consider colleges around Chatfield such as UC Clermont before you decide to attend. If you do attend check with other students to see which professors and courses you should take (pretty much everyone knows everyone, and which professors are bad). DO NOT take advice from the admissions, and other office staff!!!
In three sentences Chatfield has some amazing professors, and some really, really bad ones. I have been here for the past two years, and it seems to keep getting worse every semester. There are some great people here, but there is way too much drama and unprofessional staff that really makes the positives not worth it.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus Safety has improved somewhat within the 2 and 1/2 years I was there. They have added 1 light in each parking lot. It is almost completely dark though and can be a little scary when the last classes release at 9:10pm.
Clubs and Activities Student Government, Quilt and Craft Show, German Fest, Reds Games, and Cyclones Games.
Great for these types of students Catholic students.
What to do for fun There is a tennis court, but make sure to bring your own supplies. The campus is really beautiful with 2 ponds, trees, and many picnic tables available.
Food and Dining No food and dining avaible, except a vending maching.
Dorm Life Chatfield College is a commuting school only.
Academic Rigor Chatfield College's academic rigor varies by instructor. Some instructors make students work hard to learn the most in their class and other instructors do not require much work at all.
Tips for prospective students Be ready for some confusion. The advisors can sometimes be difficult to track down and talk to and the financial aid office can be impossible to contact at times. Some instructors are outstanding, while a few could stand to make some improvements.
In three sentences Chatfield College is a small college environment, most (if not all) students and/or teachers know each other. It can be unorganized at times making it difficult to get a hold of the financial aid office. Most instructors are really great but there are a few bad apples in the bunch.

Categories Comments Campus Safety All around this campus is pretty safe.
Greek Life PTK is the only greek life associated with Chatfield. It is the Honor Society.
Clubs and Activities There are no clubs or activities offered.
Great for these types of students This college is great for people who like small colleges and personal attention.
Bang for the buck I would say that the quantity is more than the quality. Some classes are worth paying for while others aren't.
What to do for fun There isn't a whole lot to do around campus. There is a gym, a tennis court, a computer lab and a library.
Food and Dining There is no cafeteria at the school however there are vending machines and refrigerators. There are also local dining areas such as Skyline close to the campus.
Dorm Life There are no living quarters on campus.
Academic Rigor I have learned so much in every class I have taken except those taught by Stephanie Carl. Every instructor is very intelligent and very helpful. They are all also willing to tutor.
Tips for prospective students DO NOT take any classes with Stephanie Carl. Do not miss any classes. Take as many classes as you can without overwhelming yourself.
In three sentences The attendance policy is ridiculous. Some of the teachers need reevaluated. The campus is small and easy to get around.

Categories Comments What to do for fun The Findlay market campus is near the market so you could just take a walk around the market.
Food and Dining There are lots of small restaurants near the Findlay market campus that offer great food selections.
Tips for prospective students Be honest and have a plan.
In three sentences The people there were very helpful. They did everything they could to make my experience a good one. They seemed to genuienly care about my education.
