    The college is very close to a movie theater and a mall, so if there is too much time between classes there are buses that can take you there. Plus, a student can rent equipment to play a sport with friends. Every so often, the Chemeketa Community College also plays a movie from another country, they also offer snacks.

    There are many extracurricular activities at Chemeketa. We have a multicultural center that often puts events together. There are volunteer programs, which host a multitude of activities as well. There is a planetarium, an auditorium for small productions, and many student clubs and activities.

    As far as fun on campus, because it is a community college there are no activities such as football, basket ball or any other sports. Fellow students are friendly and the main source of entertainment is hanging out.

    Camp, ride, fish, tube. Everything is so close. Oregon has everything its a great place to live! We can take an hour and go to a beach. go 20 mins to a river or lake to swim, kayak or fish. We have it all.
