Go to this college with a friend because if you don't you'l bel place with an random roommate. It can be anyone and sometimes they match you up good. Make if your attending Chowan that you apply early because if you don't you'll get the worst dorms, which are Two Belk and Mixon. Belk is better and has more space, well mixon is small and has bunk beds. If you like to party this school is for you.

The best tips that I can give prospective students are: 1) Be prepared to have personal interaction with your professors. Unlike larger universities, Chowan is smaller so there are more opportunities to have one to one interactions. 2) You will definitely be able to get involved with student activities and even have the opportunity to start your own clubs and organizations. Do NOT be afraid to express you views and opinions! Chowan is accepting to all students. 3) College is a major life transition, you will make friends for life and build relationships that will last a lifetime. If I have learned anything from being in attendance at Chowan University, I know that stepping out of your comfort zone and not being afraid of who you are will enable you to conquer the college life!

Do your work, immerse yourself in all the sporting events, and events that go on around campus. If you work at it you may find your niche or what you're looking for.

Take advantage of the writing centers and tutoring centers that are available for you to use on campus for free. Also, do your best and let your professors know that you are interested in receiving a good grade in their course.
