Around Town

There are beaches around. If you love to walk and run, there is a trail that you can use.

It's Hampton Roads. You are 20 minutes from shopping at Colonial Williamsburg outlets and 20 minutes from the beach with everything in between.

For fun we play out in the great big lawn, kareokee, pool, wii, and more. There is a club called CAB that is responsible for hosting events throughout the year for the entertainment of the students. There are parties that happen through the year hosted through different clubs.

For fun there are tons of local theaters, bowling alleys, and restaurants. Many people go to on-campus events as well.

There's a mall nearby as well as a theatre. CAB holds events on campus every once in a while and there are performances always going on in the Ferguson Center.

There are many clubs on campus. Coloring clubs, film clubs, karate clubs, you name it and there is probably a group interested. There are also several museums close by that are free to college students.

There is plenty to do around here such as go to the beach or to Busch Gardens.

There might not be much on the surface because CAB (the campus activities board) seems to dominate everything, but once you get beyond that, there's lots to be found. Lots of campus groups put on shows, and there's lots to do with the various organizations that you can join.

It is crucial that students become involved on campus. There are many greek organizations, as well as clubs and the campus activities board. The campus activities board puts on events such as movie screenings, dance parties, and game nights for the students. Most of the CNU population is involved in some sort of a club or organization, though for fun students also go to Huntington Beach and Virginia Beach. William and Mary, Old Dominion University, and VCU are also reasonably close to Christopher Newport, and so a lot of students will spend the weekend visiting friends at other schools.

I noticed nothing really. It isn't really a party school. they do try to do movies nights and things of that nature but if you want to party this is not the school.
