Fun is what you make of it. There is always something going on on campus. No matter what you like to do, you will always be able to find something that suits you, and if not this school encourages the creation f new clubs and organizations.

The Great Lawn is an expanse of grass that allows students to engage in outdoor activities like ultimate frisbee, cornhole, tag, and others; this is also the site of CAB's annual Spring and Fall Festivals. The Crow's Nest is an indoor room that houses two pool tables, one fooseball table, and stereo sound system and microphone for Karaoke.

Getting involved will give the most opportunities for fun. The campus has an activity board that holds various events every weekend night as well as at least once a week.

There are numerous things you can do... I play club field hockey. Which they have other club teams, and varsity teams to participate in. Theres a good amount of different activities that some people like to participate in. If you like greek life... this is the place. personally I am not a fan, but its really big here. There are running trails, a beautiful one is the Noland Trail. The beach isn't too far, neither is Busch Gardens.

If the college doesn't have what you are looking for, help yourself and find the opportunity for yourself. It helps that you are near William&Mary, which has wider course offerings, and Virginia Beach, tourist destination.

There is ALWAYS something to do on campus with various clubs and organizations or at the Ferguson Center. Never a dull moment.

The movie theatre is pretty far away so you will have to have a friend with a car, but there are tons of hikes and parks nearby, and lots of stores right across from campus, so there is plenty to do.

With hundreds of clubs and organizations, there definitely is no shortage of recreation on campus. There is a group for pretty much every hobby or activity you can imagine (ex: coloring club, hammock club, anime club) while also including club sports for those who like to participate in athletics. It's very easy to get involved at CNU and become a part of a community! CNU also makes a good effort to provide fun on-campus, such as free movies (including popular films such as Brave, Hunger Games, and Harry Potter), fall and spring themed festivals, and many different events put on at the Ferguson Center for the Arts. There is never a shortage of activities happening here! Off campus you can take a short drive to Busch Gardens or one of the many beaches we have around here, or perhaps the trampoline fun house might interest you more!

The city of Newport News is bustling! With many small beaches nearby the James River and even Virginia Beach close by, there are plenty of places to get away to! There is a nice mall for shopping, trails to go hiking on, and of course local movie theatres to attend.
