Being in Charleston SC and only a mile away from downtown there is always plenty to do on the weekends and during the week when you are finished with all your duties

Charleston is a wonderful place to leave campus for an afternoon run, as well as on the weekends there are many things to do such as visit the Old Citadel on Marion Square. Every week different cadet companies compete in intramural sports. Daes Hall has a gym and various places for physical activity such as racquetball courts and basketball courts.

The gym and student activities is a lot of fun when you don't have any work to do. There is a park less than 9 min. walking distance. In the park you can run, do circuit exercises or relax. Additionally the city of Charleston is within walking distance and is always alive with other college residents.

Besides the sporting events. The school is located within walking distance of Downtown Charleston. There you will find many good dining establishments and activities to take in. Just walking through Market St. and seeing the vendors is worth the trip.

Not much to do in the area due to the curfews mentioned earlier. Charleston does have stuff to do but after the first year or so you've done it all.

If you earn the privilege after your PFT you get to go downtown. There's usually something going on, especially when it's not cold out (though you have to always be in uniform when going off campus). The better you do on your PFT, the more privileges you get.

At the Citadel the cadets go out on leave into the city of Charleston when it is granted. When not on leave there are intramural sports that get very competitive and because a cadet is so close to his classmates they spend a lot of time together.
