» Read MoreBowman Field in front of Tillman Hall, the clock tower and education building, has a huge (as in, multiple hundreds of square yards huge) grassy area open for anyone to do pretty much whatever they want. I've seen everything from football, soccer and volleyball (at the same time) to LARP (Live-Action Role Play) on that field. As mentioned before, there are also over 400 clubs to keep you busy as well as a heavy course load. Outside the university, there is Lake Hartwell (which the University actually is part of the shoreline for - did I mention that tidbit?) which is a fully functioning lake with fishing, boating of all kinds, and camping available.
