Around Town

Clemson University has many exciting activities to do on weekends! There's camping in the Blue Ridge Mountains and kayaking on Lake Hartwell! Bowman Field is always busy with students playing volleyball or frisbee!

There are plenty of things to do for fun in and around Clemson. The biggest thing is that Lake Hartwell borders campus and there actually is a campus beach on the lake which always is good for beach volleyball, swimming and whatever else. Clemson is also very close to the mountains and numerous hiking and biking trails. If you want to get away from Clemson for the weekend, Atlanta and Charlotte are two hours away and Greenville, SC is an easy 45 minute drive. Outside of locations, the biggest source of fun is the student body itself. Clemson is in general a town made up entirely of college students your own age all either organizing events or looking for things to do. It is easy to find something.

The union is a good place to play pool and bowl. Three spoons has delicious frozen yogurt that you should definitely try and Clemson sushi has good cheap sushi. The y beach is popular for swimming or laying out, as well as lake Hartwell.

There is more than enough to do for fun, depending on your interests you can find 5 or more different groups or areas in which you can spend time outside, inside, with friends, or doing whatever you love to do.

Hundreds of clubs, there's bound to be something for you!

A lot of students like to drink. a lot. Some students choose not to drink at all, and while the town of Clemson doesn't have much to do, there's always something fun that the university sponsors going on.

Football games, tailgates, hiking adventures, concerts, downtown life, trips to Greenville, days at the lake. I could carry on.

There are so many things to do for fun here. Today, I went to the lake.

Outside activities, fun night life, many clubs and organizations so always something to do.

There are places to walk to downtown of the university. There are shows of dancing and acting that are held on campus. There are also a lot of football events that everyone enjoys.
