    Definitely take a campus tour to prepare for the upcoming year. This way the first day of classes won't seem as daunting. Also, talk with advisers with any questions that you have. They are friendly and reply in a timely manner.

    Take your time picking a major, it took me two years to choose and now I am so happy that I wasn't stuck in something I just picked to make a decision quickly. Also, find an advisor that you work well with. Do not go to the same advisor over and over again if you two do not get along well.
