Not for the weak at art. Everyone who does well here works very hard. If you don't work hard or commit fully to your education here, you will not do well at all. That being said, you don't need to be a brilliant artist to get in. Just have good taste, at least SOME artistic talent and the school can get you the rest.

CCS is a challenging, fun, and rewarding school to attend. It demands a lot of hard work and effort due to the rigorous curriculum and high expectations. However, it is one of the best schools in the United States for the visual arts and hard work really pays off in the long and short term.

The schoolwork and competitiveness is intense and if you're not serious here, you might fall behind. Many sleepless night will be had but this school will prepare you and make you the best you can be.
